I have turned Posts Approval Moderation on

Please be advised that I have turned the Blog Moderation on.  It has become overwhelmingly ridiculous to maintain the blog without it.  I remember one of the dear brother here recommended this to me from the infancy of this forum.  I should've listened .

Now insha'Allah the spammers won't go far.

As'salamu Alaikum Everyone,

The makers of this blog system that I am using, http://www.simplemachines.org, have done an awsome job building this board.  My spam blocker is smart enough to not restrict the regular members on this blog from posting.  No moderation is required for them.  Some brothers here have already posted after I put the restriction, and their posts went straight through, which kinda worried me a little bit at first, because I thought that the moderation enablement didn't work.  Meanwhile, the spammers got blocked and were put on a pending status for my review, which I in turn of course deleted.

I just want to say that I genuinely appreciate the fact that this system knows how to appreciate the regular members and not restrict them.

I myself am trying to fully learn this system as I go.  I know there are tons of new upgrades and features that they have on their website.  So many features and APIs for integrations that one can upgrade his board with, most of them are for FREE.  Insha'Allah (if Allah Almighty is Willing), I will upgrade the board and enhance it in a much better way in the near future.

Great decision ,I was expecting that Alhamdullilah ....

now there will be no longer those filthy spammers ....


I wrote in another topic ,some suggestions to the forum ...including making sections (one for islam and another for other religions) to help arrange the forum content to make it easy for the visitors ,find the intended content they seek...
