"The Pope has the authority and often exercised it, to dispense with the command of Christ." -Decretal, de Tranlatic Episcop. Cap. (The Pope can modify divine law.) Ferraris' Ecclesiastical Dictionary.

GENERAL TOPICS | BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS / Elisha/Eliseus
« on: December 17, 2015, 01:57:09 PM »
In The king Jame Bible version you can find:

In the old testament:

2 Kings 2:1-15 - And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.   ....

2 Kings 13:14-20 - Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof.  ...

1 Kings 19:19 - So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who [was] plowing [with] twelve yoke [of oxen] before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.

2 Kings 2:19-22 - And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city [is] pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water [is] naught, and the ground barren.  ....

2 Kings 2:14 - And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where [is] the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

2 Kings 8:1-3 - Then spake Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go thou and thine household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn: for the LORD hath called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.   ....

2 Kings 8:7-10 - And Elisha came to Damascus; and Benhadad the king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, The man of God is come hither.....

Elisha means: My God is salvation

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the new testament

Luke 4:27 - And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.

Eliseus means: My god is Zeus

So, each time you say "Eliseus" you are saying "my god is Zeus".
How many christians have already say this (Eliseus)? How many they blasphemed?

Two Paul? http://www.jesusneverexisted.com/saul-paul.htm

I Will quote some points from the website:

Where DID they get their ideas from?

1) Josephus version:
Josephus was himself betrayed by 'John', chose an ally named 'Silas', and made a miraculous escape!

" But when John [of Gichala] was come to the city of Tiberias, he persuaded the men to revolt from their fidelity to me ...

A messenger had come to me from Silas, whom I had made governor of Tiberias ...

Upon the receipt of this letter of Silas, I took two hundred men along with me, and traveled all night ...

Having dismissed the guards I had about me, excepting one, and ten armed men that were with him,

I attempted to make a speech to the multitude ... But before I had spoken ... to provide for my own safety, and escape my enemies there ...

[I was] carried upon the back of one Herod of Tiberias, and guided by him down to the lake, where I seized a ship, and got into it, and escaped my enemies unexpectedly, and came to Tarichese."

– Josephus, Life 17

-------------------------------------------------------------

Acts Version

"But Paul thought not good to take John with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia ...

And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.– Acts 15.38,40

" And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.

But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas".

Acts 16.25,29

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Where DID they get their ideas from?

2)
Josephus Version

Circumcision NOT necessary – says Josephus!

" At this time it was that two great men, who were under the jurisdiction of king Agrippa, came to me out of the region of Trachonius, bringing their horses and their arms, and carrying with them their money also.

And when the Jews would force them to be circumcised, if they would stay among them, I would not permit them to have any force put upon them, but said to them,

"Every one ought to worship God according to his own inclinations, and not to be constrained by force; and that these men, who had fled to us for protection, ought not to be so treated as to repent of their coming hither."

– Josephus, Life 23

------------------------

Acts Version

"And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.

And after they had held their peace, James answered ...

Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God."

Acts 15.1,19

Where DID they get their ideas from?

Josephus reports on Saul, an avaricious Herodian aristocrat, during the Jewish rebellion of 66-74 AD. Did this nasty Saul help the author of Acts flesh out his story of the apostle?

1) Josephus

"So the men of power perceiving that the sedition was too hard for them to subdue, and that the danger which would arise from the Romans would come upon them first of all, endeavoured to save themselves, and sent ambassadors, some to Florus, the chief of which was Simon the son of Ananias; and others to Agrippa, among whom the most eminent were Saul, and Antipas, and Costobarus, who were of the king's kindred; and they desired of them both that they would come with an army to the city, and cut off the seditious before it should be too hard to be subdued. "
– WAR, 2, 17.

1) Story elemnt

Saul is a powerful man.

Saul gains access to king Herod Agrippa.

1)  Book of acts

Saul is a powerful man.
"Saul ... made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison." (Acts 8.3)

Saul/Paul gains access to king Herod Agrippa:
"Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself: I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews." (Acts 26.1,2)

------------------

2)  Josephus

"Saul ... of the king's kindred".

2)  Story element

Saul is a kinsman of Herod Agrippa.

2) Book of acts

Saul/Paul is related to the Herodians?

"Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers as Barnabas and Simeon that was called Niger and Lucius of Cyrene and Manaen which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch and Saul. (Acts 13.1)

Also note: "Greet Herodion, my relative." (Romans 16.11).

--------------

3) Josephus

"Ananias was too hard for the rest, by his riches, which enabled him to gain those that were most ready to receive. Costobarus also, and Saulus, did themselves get together a multitude of wicked wretches, and this because they were of the royal family; and so they obtained favour among them, because of their kindred to Agrippa; but still they used violence with the people, and were very ready to plunder those that were weaker than themselves."

– ANTIQUITIES 20.9.4

3)  Story element
Saul uses violence.

He plunders those weaker than himself.

3)Book of acts

Saul uses violence against the meek and mild Christians:
"And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord" (Acts 9.1)

Crucifixion or Crucifiction? / Refuting Psalm 22:16 and isaiah 53
« on: November 22, 2015, 01:08:51 PM »
Salam wa aleykoum brothers and sorry for my bad English, i'm francophone, so i'm not used to English.

Psalm 22:16

The translation given is:
"Dogs surround me, a pack of villains encircles me; they pierce my hands and my feet." (NIV)

While the real translation of this verse is:
"For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: like a lion my hands and my feet."

According to the jewish scriptures, this verse is mistranslated, the word used is "Kari" which means "Like a lion"
Ka= Like
Ari=Lion

Here's the text:
כִּי סְבָבוּנִי, כְּלָבִים:
עֲדַת מְרֵעִים, הִקִּיפוּנִי;
כָּאֲרִי, יָדַי וְרַגְלָי

If you put the text on translate google, you'll find the word "Cari"

Other sources:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/They_have_pierced_my_hands_and_my_feet
http://www.gotquestions.org/Psalm-22-16-lion-pierced.html

Just tip on google: The real translation of psalm 22:16

Or tip on google Psalm in hebrew, you'll found this page: http://www.mechon-mamre.org/p/pt/pt2601.htm
And by this page you can navigate to this page http://www.mechon-mamre.org/p/pt/pt2622.htm
You can read "17 For dogs have encompassed me; a company of evil-doers have inclosed me; like a lion, they are at my hands and my feet."

Isaiah 53

The whole chapter of Isaiah 53 is not referring to Jesus (PBUH), he is referring to the jewish people, and it's a continuation of Isaiah 52

-First of all Isaiah 53 start with:
"Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?"
This verse alone make no sense, but if associate him with Isaiah 52 it will be more clear.

Let's take some verses of Isaiah 52 and compare them with isaiah 53:

Isaiah 52: 4-5
For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: "At first my people went down to Egypt to live; lately, Assyria has oppressed them.
And now what do I have here?" declares the LORD. "For my people have been taken away for nothing, and those who rule them mock," declares the LORD. "And all day long my name is constantly blasphemed.

Isaiah 52:10

The LORD will lay bare his holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.

Isaiah 52:15
so he will sprinkle many nations, and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand.

Can you see the connection between Isaiah 52 and Isaiah 53?
There has been a warning to the Gentile king, But, "Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?" Isaiah 53:1

ANd now, the comparaison

1) Isaiah 53:8
"By oppression and judgment he was taken away. Yet who of his generation protested? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was punished."

This verse goes with Isaiah 52:5:
"And now what do I have here?" declares the LORD. "For my people have been taken away for nothing, and those who rule them mock," declares the LORD. "And all day long my name is constantly blasphemed.

2) Isaiah 53:1
Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?

This verse goes with Isaiah 52:10
"The LORD will lay bare his holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God."

Coincidence?
As we know Jesus is supposed to be killed at the age of 37-38 and had no prosperity, but the prophecy of Isaiah 53 says
Isaiah 53:10
Yet it was the LORD's will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the LORD makes his life an offering for sin, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.

And once again, sorry for my bad english
