GENERAL TOPICS | BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS / quick question on a hadith
« on: January 23, 2018, 10:05:57 AM »
i have a quetion on this hadith

The woman who buries alive her new-born girl and the girl who is buried alive both will go to Hell. This tradition has also been transmitted by Ibn Mas’ud from the Prophet (May peace be upon him) to the same effect through a different chain of narrators.

Grade   : Sahih (Al-Albani)
Reference    : Sunan Abi Dawud 4717
In-book reference    : Book 42, Hadith 122
English translation    : Book 41, Hadith 4699

why would a new born baby girl who is unjustkly killed by her parents go to hell?

2
ok regards the first one, it doesnt say muhammad ordered his ddeath, also this is referring to the quraishi people. and we know the muslims came in multiple wars with them, so if this old man fought against the muslims in a war and he died he isnt innocent he is a quraishi (which is the offending pary) and he is a combatant.

second one

this refers to uqbah, uqbah is innocent HAHAHA. even wikipedia knows better than this fool: was one of the principal adversaries of Islam. He was a Quraysh leader

so one of the leaders of quraish. quuraish presecuted muslims, killed innocent muslims, tortured them, put spears in their private parts, crucified them etc.

lets see what he did: Uqbah was one the neighbors of Muhammad. Yet he assaulted Muhammad verbally and physically as he was preaching monotheism[1] He also constantly ridiculed Muhammad when the latter was preaching in Mecca. On one occasion, when Muhammad was praying in the courtyard of the Ka'ba, Uqba brought the waste of a slaughtered camel (intestines, blood, dung etc.) upon the suggestion of other Quraysh leaders who were gathered there, and placed it upon Muhammad's back while he was in prostration. They laughed so much so that they fell on each other. He remained in that position due to the weight, unable to lift his head from prostration until his daughter came and removed it.[2]

On another occasion, Uqba spat on Muhammad's face at the incitement of his friend Ubay ibn Khalaf. According to the Islamic tradition, the Quranic verse [Quran 25:29] was revealed at that moment to Muhammad regarding Uqba and Ubay.[3] Uqbah was also one of those enemies of Muhammad who rejoiced at the news of the death of Muhammad's second son 'Abdullah.

is that all he did or did he try to kill muslims as well, well yes he did.

As well as this, he wrapped a sheet around the Prophet’s (p) neck and tried to kill him.

Narrated `Urwa bin Az-Zubair: I asked `Abdullah bin `Amr, “What was the worst thing the pagans did to Allah’s Messenger?” He said, “I saw `Uqba bin Abi Mu’ait coming to the Prophet while he was praying.’ `Uqba put his sheet round the Prophet’s neck and squeezed it very severely. Abu Bakr came and pulled `Uqba away from the Prophet and said, “Do you intend to kill a man just because he says: ‘My Lord is Allah, and he has brought forth to you the Evident Signs from your Lord?” (Sahih al-Bukhari Volume 5, Book 57, Hadith 27)

Furthermore, Uqba on a number of occasions persecuted many Muslims. Safi-Ur-Rahman al-Mubarakpuri writes:

When they reached As-safra, he ordered that two of the prisoners should be killed. They were An-Nadr Bin Al-Harith and Uqbah Bin Abi Muait, because they had persecuted the Muslims in Makkah, and harboured deep hatred towards Allah and His Messenger (p). In a nutshell, they were criminals of war in modern terminology, and they execution was an awesome lesson to oppressors. [1]

Apart from all the above, Uqba even engaged in battles against the Muslims. He never ceased from his evil until the day he was caught by the companions of the Prophet (p) and ordered that he be executed.

It was narrated that ‘Amr bin Maimun said: “Abdullah told us: ‘The Messenger of Allah was praying at the House (the Ka’bah) and a group of the nobles of Quraish were sitting there. They had just slaughtered a camel and one of them said: “Which of you will take these stomach contents with the blood and wait until he prostrates, then put them on his back?” ‘Abdullah said: ‘The one who was most doomed got up and took the stomach contents, then went and waited until he prostrated himself, and put it on his back. Fatimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah, who was a young girl, was told about that, and she came running and took it off his back. When he had finished praying he said: “O Allah! Punish the Quraish,” three times, “O Allah, punish Abu Jahl bin Hisham, Shaibah bin Rabi’ah, ‘Utbah bin Rabi’ah, ‘Uqbah bin Abi Mu’ait” until he had listed seven men from Quraish.’ ‘Abdullah said: ‘By the One Who revealed the Book to him, I saw them dead on the day of Badr (their corpses) in a single dry well.'” (Sunan an-Nasa’I, Volume 1, Book 1, Hadith 308)

so no innocence

the third i will reply in due time

assalamu alaikum

i have a question on a contradiction that is claimed to be in the quran

the 2 verses in question are:

quran 38;71-2, [So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration."

and quran 15:28-29: And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "I will create a human being out of clay from an altered black mud. And when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration."

so it is obviously speaking about the very same event

however the claimed contradiction lies in what did allah say to the angels. because quran 38:71-72 allah didnt mention the altered black mud part
however quran 15 does include the part of the altered black mud.

so whcih of the two did allah swt say to the angels. because now it seems contradictory. did allah say to the angels i will create from clay, or did he say i will create from clay from altered black mud

because these 2 verses are direct quotes of what allah said. and it is speaking of the same event. so what did allah say to the angels and is it not a contradiction

the person who presented the acclaimed contradiction also included the following example:

If I was to tell you today that Neil Armstrong said these famous words as he stepped on to the moon's surface:
"That's one small step for man, but one giant leap for mankind"
Two days later, I say these words were:
"That's one small step for a human, but one giant leap for humanity"
It's recounting what was said. The content of the statements are not contradicting, but it is a contradiction of quotation. He said either the first, the second, or neither. He can't have said both those sentences as he stepped onto the moon.

asslamu alaikum

how do we answer people who say the following:

if god is all able can he create a rock he cannot lift

Quran proclaims Allah to be all able, but he can't do and create anything he desires to. That means he is not all able!

You guys have used the reasoning to suggest Allah does not create things that counteract eachother, such as a squared circle... HELLO?? You are missing the entire point!! The Quran says he is All able, which means it should not be impossible for Allah to create a squared circle, he supposed to be all able. If Allah cannot create a squared circle, he is not all able then is he??? He is limited!

im having trouble with answering this

jazakallah khair.

GENERAL TOPICS | BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS / Re: Favorism
« on: September 27, 2017, 05:24:46 PM »
Salam

Let me refute this favorism thing

Bukhari 3733, The Prophet said, 'If a reputable man amongst the children of Bani Israel committed a theft, they used to forgive him, but if a poor man committed a theft, they would cut his hand. But I would cut even the hand of Fatima (i.e. the daughter of the Prophet) if she committed a theft."

So he would cut off the hand of his daugjter for theft. So much for favoritism

This hadith is very sahih and is mentiikned many times more:
Bukhari 6788 muslim 1689 bukhari 6787 muslim 1688 a and many more see the whole list here: https://sunnah.com/search/?q=Fatima+theft

Bukhari 6780: During the lifetime of the Prophet (ﷺ) there was a man called `Abdullah whose nickname was Donkey, and he used to make Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) laugh. The Prophet (ﷺ) lashed him because of drinking (alcohol). And one-day he was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ) on the same charge and was lashed. On that, a man among the people said, "O Allah, curse him ! How frequently he has been brought (to the Prophet (ﷺ) on such a charge)!" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Do not curse him, for by Allah, I know for he loves Allah and His Apostle."

He knew this guy loved him and allah swt but still he punished him so far for favoritism.

Quran 4:135: O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, Allah is more worthy of both. So follow not [personal] inclination, lest you not be just. And if you distort [your testimony] or refuse [to give it], then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.

So much for favoritism

The following ahadith destroy the idea of favoritism:
Uqbah ibn Amir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “No one is better than anyone else except by religion or good deeds. It is sufficient evil for a man to be profane, vulgar, greedy, or cowardly.”
Source: Shu’b al-Iman 4767

Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani

Muhammad saws made it clear arab has no superiority so far for favoritism

Jabir ibn Abdullah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, addressed us during the middle of the day at the end of the pilgrimage in the farewell sermon. The Prophet said, “O people, your Lord is one and your father Adam is one. There is no virtue of an Arab over a foreigner, nor a foreigner over an Arab, and neither white over black nor black over white, except by righteousness. Have I not delivered the message?” They said, “Of course, O Messenger of Allah.” The Prophet said, “Let the witness inform those who are absent.”

Source: Shu’ab al-Imān 4706

Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani

And muhammad saws was against tribalism The Prophet said, “No, but rather it is tribalism that he supports his people in wrongdoing.”

Source: Sunan Ibn Mājah 3949

Grade: Hasan (fair) according to Ibn Muflih

Also there is a kind of well knwon hadith to slander the prophet saws where he says that if the people do tribalism like in the time of jahiliyya tell him to bite his fathers penjs.

This hadith is recorded in many hadith works including Musnad Ahmad, Sunan al-Kubra of an-Nasa’i and Mushkil al-Athar of at-Tahawi. It is also quoted in Shia sources; see for instance: al-Majlisi, Muhammad Baqir, Bihar al-Anwar, Vol.32, 91. Al-Majlisi also quotes another narration attributed to ‘Ali with a similar wording.

Before you say it is filthy it has been answered:

GENERAL TOPICS | BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS / Hadith rats
« on: September 24, 2017, 07:13:38 AM »
Assalamu alaikum,

Question about these 3 hadith:

Bukhari 3305: Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "A group of Israelites were lost. Nobody knows what they did. But I do not see them except that they were cursed and changed into rats, for if you put the milk of a she-camel in front of a rat, it will not drink it, but if the milk of a sheep is put in front of it, it will drink it." I told this to Ka`b who asked me, "Did you hear it from the Prophet (ﷺ) ?" I said, "Yes." Ka`b asked me the same question several times.; I said to Ka`b. "Do I read the Torah? (i.e. I tell you this from the Prophet

Muslim2997 a: Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:
A group of Bani Isra'il was lost. I do not know what happened to it, but I think (that it 'underwent a process of metamorphosis) and assumed the shape of rats. Don't you see when the milk of the camel is placed before them, these do not drink and when the milk of goat is placed before them, these do drink. Abu Huraira said: I narrated this very hadith to Ka'b and he said: Did you hear this from Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)? I (Abu Huraira) said: Yes. He said this again and again, and I said: Have I read Torah? This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Ishaq with a slight variation of wording.

2997 b: Abu Huraira reported that the rat (is the result of) metamorphosis (of a group of Bani Isra'il) and the proof of this is that when the milk of goat is placed before it, it drinks it, and when the milk of the camel is placed before it, it would not taste it at all. Ka'b said:

I have multiple questions on these ahadith. Firstly why is it aleays bani israel that geta transformed into animals, apes pigs lizards rats.

Next doe snt the hadith make a flaw in its deduction. It says because rats dont drink the camel milk they are jews because jews arent allowed to take from the camel. Couldnt i then male the claim that because muslims dont eat pork and rats dont eat pork rats are muslims.

Also the hadith seems to indicate that all tats are those from the israelites because no rats drinm from camel milk and by the deduction given in the hadith that would mean they are all israelites.

Could someone help mr out eith this hafith

Jazkallah khair

GENERAL TOPICS | BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS / pharaoh
« on: September 18, 2017, 10:39:43 AM »
assalamu alaikum,

i was actually reading up on the claim that the quran correctly clls the pharaoh during the time of joseph king, and later calls him pharaoh etc.

only answering islam makes this claim and i didnt really know a response, so if you could help out that would be great:
M S M Saifullah and Elias Kareem attempt to legitimize the Qur'an and discredit the Bible based on the fact that the early Kings of Egypt were not given the title of Pharaoh. The authors claim that the Bible makes a mistake when it refers to the Kings of Egypt (prior to the 18th Dynasty) as Pharaoh. This arguments confuses questions of fact with questions of relevance. Incidentally, the Qur'an is also guilty of the same error, if it is indeed an error.

Sura 50: 12-13

Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud, The 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut,
Therefore, according to the Qur'an, the King of Egypt was called Pharaoh (since this list appears to be in chronological order) at, or before the time of the "brethren of Lot". Lot and Abraham lived in the same time period since Lot was his nephew! In any event, these "brethren" lived before Joseph.

Assalamu alaikum.

We know islam says that thiefs should have their hands cut off. Isnt this a little bit aggressive and hardh. For one sin or mistake his whole hand is chopped for the rest of his life? Also is there a price range for the amount stolen also if he does it the first time does it get cut off instantly or multiple times etc. Any good articles on it?

What a filthy statement thanking god that an innocent man had died of old age. Imagine we as muslims today would say thank god nabeel qureshi died ( he has cancer now and i hope he gets better) or something along those lines muslims would be demonized for it, but she therr thanks god for killing a innocdnt man of old age, shows what manners and character these people have.

GENERAL TOPICS | BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS / Question on names
« on: September 10, 2017, 11:17:04 AM »
Salam,

I had a question regarding the names of the prophets in the quran, the quran calls abraham ibrahim, moses musa, jesus isa, aaron harun, and i can go on.

Basically my question is do we believe that the real name of abraham was ibrahim and the real name of moses was musa and the real name of jesus was isa? Or do we say that these prophets were callex ibrahim and musa etc brcause this is how they were known to the arabs at that time therefor they would understand ehat god would be saying to them

So were these their real names or are these just their names in the arsbic form like jesus is the english form and this is how they were known to the arabs at that time

Jazakallah khair in advance for the answers

GENERAL TOPICS | BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS / Question
« on: September 08, 2017, 07:39:20 PM »
Salam,

I have a question with regards a specific verse which a non muslim showed me online to prove some error  in the quran, and i never heard this claim before, so i hope you can help.

Quran 3:144, Mohsin Khan: Muhammad (SAW) is no more than a Messenger, and indeed (many) Messengers have passed away before him. If he dies or is killed, will you then turn back on your heels (as disbelievers)? And he who turns back on his heels, not the least harm will he do to Allah, and Allah will give reward to those who are grateful.
( you can check other translations if you like )

But his claim summarized: he says that this verse shows allah swt was unsure, from which we can conclude he is not an all knowing being which would then contradict parts of the quran which say he is. The part in question is " if he dies or is killed ) if allah is an all knowing being why does he have to say "or" he knows what will happen, so why didnt he says, if he is killed, or if he dies, by making this or shows that allah didnt know what would happen to muhammad therefor to stay in the clear he said "dies or killed" he then concludes from this that Muhammad saws himself wrote this and sinde he didnt know the future nor what would happen to him he said die or get killed, he finished off by saying, it is not appropriate for an all knowing entity to say or, as he knows what is going to happen he could have chosen 1

As i have never seen this claim made before, i was not able to find any answers regarding this online, therefor i came here and i hope you can help me refute he lies against our religion

Jazakallah khair

Hi akhi osama,

I actually want to add something on the virgin birth. The bible makes it clear jesus was born of a virgin. But we know the jews didnt believe this, because if they did they would accep him as their prophet/messiah.

So i wanted to ask; when mary said she was a vurgin but pregnant, obviously the people didnt bekieve it, imagine your daughter coming home and saying she was pregnant but she was a virgin, you wouldnt believe her for a second, likewise noone believed mary, so WHY DIDNT THEY Kill/HER TO DEATH as an adultress women according to the jewish law:

Leviticus 20:10, New International Version
"'If a man commits adultery with another man's wife--with the wife of his neighbor--both the adulterer and the adulteress are to be put to death.

Exodus 20:14 you shall not commit adultery

Proverbs 6:32 whoever commits adultery destroys himself.

I can keep going but we all know the jewish law on aduktery is death, so why according to christians was mary not killed, why not, who would believe in the virgin birth, well not the jews as they disnt believe in jesus, therefor se should have been killed as an adultress women, but no she wasnt. Why? Christians have no answer, they will say god made it so. But we muslims have an answer. It is that god did the miracle to make jesus speak from the cradle and refute these false charges on mary mother of jesus.
