GENERAL TOPICS | BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS / Re: I need your opinion please!
« on: September 07, 2013, 11:32:55 AM »

Muhammad 47:38 Behold, [O believers,] it is you who are called upon to spend freely in God’s cause: but [even] among you are such as turn out to be niggardly! And yet, he who acts niggardly [in God’s cause] is but niggardly towards his own self: for God is indeed self-sufficient, whereas you stand in need [of Him]; and if you turn away [from Him], He will cause other people to take your place, and they will not be the likes of you! and Allah has power over all things......

the noble verse is similar to the previous one...  a warning to those who acts niggardly,to be substituted of other folk who will not be likes of them but more generous and zealous for Islam....
It is not a threat of eradication ,neither other creatures substituting them...

it is not reasonable to think that Allah wants to send a message to those turn out to be niggardly, that they are going to be substituted with some other people looks physically diferent !!!

clear??

now with our next noble verse...

we need to visit "to substitude x instead of M " and  "to make x succesor of M"...

The first noble verse we should visit is:

Holy quran 9:38 O you who believe! What (excuse) have you that when it is said to you: Go forth in Allah's way, you should incline heavily to earth; are you contented with this world's life instead of the hereafter? But the provision of this world's life compared with the hereafter is but little. If you do not go forth, He will chastise you with a painful chastisement and bring in your place a people other than you, and you will do Him no harm; and Allah has power over all things.

-Who are the humans whom Allah warned to be punished and substituted? The believers during the prophet's era.
-what is the punishment? not mentioned but could be a curse from Allah to be humilated in the world ,and not necessarily to be eradicated.
what is the substitution? could be any other folk who will be more faithful and ready to do the task of supporting the prophet peace be upon him....
nothing in the verse to suggest that those who might substitute them are their seed or  other creatures succeed...

now to the next verse...

peace Bro Mclinkin

My opinion is that linking the noble verse with" human evolution?" is going far beyond the possible meanings .....

actually the best you can guess from the verses"if you won't accept how they were understood by most tafsir books" ,is that the verses refer to a process of replacement not evolution.....

next post I will highlight ALL the verse related to the issue ,inshallah...

34

peace

this post is not a comment on the verse... just to thank  mclinkin94 for his way with the blog ....

his questions are important, specific ,in brief ,civil ,rarely link anti islamic links.....

I hope all the member follow your steps ...   and wish I have my brain more relaxed nowadays"I feel deprssed due to the military coup and the violence in Egypt " to post more .....

thank you again Mclinkin....

peace for all

Eid Mubarak Bro Farhan

36

peace for all

I have a scientific question before elaborating the answers in the thread.....
the muscles of the embryo wrap a cartilage that as a whole has the same hardness or may be some of the cartilage harder than the others?

37
Assalamualykum. Bro farhan

I understad your situation very well.... as many of muslims who had the same issue ...

I would like to tell you that the questions and suspicions arise again without completely getting rid of them ,is may be cause you didn't get difinite ,crucial convincing answer.....

but don't forget not all the muslims brothers who tried to clear up the misconceptions are the same degree of qualifications ....  not only that also not all qualified muslims have the time to engage in such polemical issues.... lots of thems though highly informed in islam yet makes economically hard living...so they have less or no time...

anyway don't worry, be assured you will find the convincing rebuttal in the right time....inshallah....
the more you read the rubuattal the more chance to be convinced....

you intiated issues ,I hope to have a time to share my thoughts with you and the dear brothers and sisters who visit the board....

take care

The heavens are firmly held in place lest they move from where they are and fall on the earth.

holy quran 22:65   ...He withholds "alsamaa" from failing on the earth except by His leave: for God is Most Kind and Most Me rciful to man.

If we already proved that "alsamaa" could refer to heaven, sky or any part of each .then the meaning could be God protects the Earth from uncontrollable falling of space objects eg;  Meteoroids...

39
This is from a website:

The position of all these celestial bodies within this universe are clearly described in the Qur'an. For example, the heavens are above the earth

if  the Earth is round shaped then ,heaven is above it from every direction and it ,itself is within the heaven.

and the sun and the moon are within the heavens

[ Qur'an 71:15-16 - Have you not seen how Allah created the seven heavens one above the other, setting in them the moon as a light and the sun as a lantern? ]

The moon is a light for the seven heavens ?

holy quran 25:61 Blessed is the One Who has placed constellations in(alsamaa) the sky and set a beacon in it, plus a shining moon!

you see? the word used "alsamaa" is singular , so is the moon a light for one heaven? or the word sky is the right meaning?

holy quran  71:11 He causes(alsamaa) the clouds to send torrents down upon you .

now we have a strong clue that the word "alsamaa" is sometimes used in the quran ,meaning a part of "alsamaa" not the whole......

moreover we have a  clue that the word "alsamaa" is sometimes used to refer to something between the earth and "alsamaa"...

holy quran 2:164 and in the clouds pressed into service between earth and (alsamaa) sky, there are indeed signs for people who use their reason.

Allah  refered to the clouds as "alsamaa" while he already knows that they are between the earth and "alsamaa"....

in sum ..the Quranic usage of the word (alsamaa, aka heaven, sky,or part of any) doesn't necessarily requires its meaning to be the whole "heaven", or even the whole sky...

to be concluded in next post.

peace and Ramadan mubarak

Assalamualykum.

"Mawaqi" means positions

Quran 5:68 :
"Say, "O People of the Scripture, you are [standing] on nothing until you uphold [the law of] the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to you from your Lord." And that which has been revealed to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in transgression and disbelief. So do not grieve over the disbelieving people." Can I get an explanation of what this verse is saying

The verse says:

1- O People of the Scripture "you Jews and christians"

2- you are standing on nothing "your beliefs in vain"

3- until you uphold the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to you from your Lord.

what Torah? "the answer in previous post"

what "injeel"? the answer in previous post.

what has been revealed to you from your Lord? the holy Quran.

Even muslims are required to do so:

Holy Quran: SAY: "We(muslims) believe in God and what has been sent down to us(the holy Quran.), and what was sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and their descendants, and what was given Moses(Torah) and Jesus(Injeel), and what was given the [other] prophets by their Lord.

wishing u all a blessed ramadan ahead.. may Allah show u the path to success in ...

I have been so busy lately ,hope I have more time soon to participate in our discussion ,inshallah.

and my advice for those brothers who try Ramadan for the first time to be gradual in fasting ,don't make it hard for yourself -.....

don't forget :
Holy Quran 2:286 On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear.

May Allah bless all...

44
Then He directed Himself to the heaven while it was smoke and said to it and to the earth, "Come [into being], willingly or by compulsion." They said, "We have come willingly."
Brother in the above ayah Allah is saying that everything was one single mass and this includes stars, planets, time, space, atoms and everything. Later they were separated, thus seven heavens came into being.

ASSALAMUALYKUM. Bro FARHAN_UDDIN ...

I think you mean another verse in  Sura 21:30, which states: "Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?"

Brother Allah says: "Then He directed Himself to the heaven while it was smoke" this means Allah turned to the heavens when it had been a smoke, and here heaven means everything(space, time, dimensions, stars, planets, atoms etc). And no where in the Quran as far as I know, Allah didn't use any other word except 'heaven' to refer to the entire universe. That's why I believe the word "Heaven" includes everything.

The heavens(alsamawat) ,according to the quran are seven heaven ,it means they have a dimension ,a begnning and end ...that doesn't means there exist nothing beyond their dimension.

while (alkawn) is defind in the Arabic dictionary as, the absolute existence of everything ( الوجودُ المطلق العام).... not merely the observable universe.....

that means heaven"alsamawat" are specified part of the absolute existence "alkawn".

May Allah bless you.

Take Care.
[/quote]

45
ASSALAMUALYKUM.

Brother heaven means the entire Universe. The word used for universe is السَّمَاوَاتِ  Brother this word is much appropriate than "alkawn." this is because heaven means the universe, the dimensions of the universe and  everything.

ASSALAMUALYKUM. Bro FARHAN_UDDIN ....

السَّمَاوَاتِ (alsamawaat) means the entire universe, the dimensions of the universe and  everything. ?!
could you please support that from a dictionary or the Quran?

Bro mclinkin94 ,I will get back to your question after we settle the meaning of "samawat" inshallah....

peace
