Apparently it is in bukhari and Tirmidhi. Dont know the numbers though :( I also discovered some veeeery interesting things. According to some people there are 3 versions of the sermon, parts of the sermon are not mentioned in hadith at all and that some people suspect that the most popular version of the sermon is part forged. Huzzah -_-

This article is from Answering Islam. I lolled when i saw this. Its onvious that 'warner' and 'prophet' mean the same thing because a prophet warns people but as usual the fools at AI make a dumb article. Has there been a rebuttal to this crap yet? If so can someone direct me to it please. I wanna bask in the awesomeness of this site.

Yes i know that the caliphs didnt force anyone to convert and that not one drop of innocent blood was shed. I was just asking if offensive war is permissable. Well looking back now to my post i guess its a stupid question because if the caliphs did it it is obviously permissable. Thanks for the reply :)

*slaps forehead* Yes its much clearer now. Thanks :P

Yes i know its about jihad and that dying in the way of allah can forgive sins (such as murder). Im just confused about if the killer was a muslim or not when he killed person A

Im not sure if i have put this in the right section but seeing as its about an empire and this is politics and religion it seems like the proper place. This question has recently been nagging me for a while. After the Prophet (pbuh) died the muslims started a conquest and quickly defeated the byzantines and persians creating the Rashidun Caliphate. I always thought that we were only given permission to fight in self defense but obviously conquest is an offensive type of war. So id like to know is conquest allowed in Islam if it is solely to spread islam or did they somehow go against the teachings of Islam (which i highly doubt but might aswell not rule it out). Dont get me wrong i also know that alot of merchants and traders spread islam as arabs were natural travellers and traders. Thanks

Yeah 80i or should i say 80I. I was looking at a video on youtube and a critic put this hadith up. I looked it up on a online bukhari website. http://www.sahih-bukhari.com/ And theres 2 number 80s. I mean the 'i' as the roman numeral for 1 :P

I have nowhere near the same knowledge as a scholar either. Thats my point. You dont have to be a scholar to refute half of the any islam websites around  ::)

Sure. 'Allah's apostle said:Allah welcomes two people with a smile;one of whom kills the other and they both enter paradise. One man is killed in the way of allah.Later on the 'killer'dies in the way of allah and is forgiven'.What im confused about is who the killer is.The hadith says person A dies in the way of allah. Did person B kill him and if he did was he an enemy or a muslim?'Then later on the 'killer' dies in the way of allah and is forgiven'.So was person B a musim when he killed A or did he convert? If he was a muslim why did he kill A during jihad?Id be very grateful if someone could clear my confusion.Have i misunderstood the hadith?

Pure class. I kept lolling at his attempts to change the subject and you're absolutely true!  He thinks marriage is 100% sex. I could destroy him in an argument if i cared to (but dont as ive argued and won against many people like them and also schoolwork) and im only 13... Anyway great respect to you.

Salam alaykum everyone.
So yeah ive been having a bit of a problem on a hadith my opponent gave me on youtube and asked me to explain the reasons. The Hadith is Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 819 which is the one about the Prophet(pbuh) ordering the killing of two poets in makkah. I tried looking for this hadith on the answering christianity website and also others but couldnt find the reason i have also looked for the chain of narration and stuff to see if its a strong hadith but unfortunately i havent been able to get anywhere. So yeah i would appreciate someone explaning it to me or giving me evidence that its fabricated, strong etc etc. If it IS on the answering christianity website would someone please send the link so i could see it. Thanks guys  ;D
