Assalam alikum I was just wondering when it says god will forgive anything apart from shirk does that mean that if some honestly believes that jesus is god will he be sent to hell anyway because God doesn't forgive shirk

Wa Alaikum As'salam Sharon,

Welcome to this board.  May Allah Almighty continue to open your heart and lead you to Islam.  Ameen.

As to your question, Allah Almighty calls the Christians:

1-  The misguided.
2-  Those who follow nothing but conjecture.

See Noble Verses 1:7, 6:148 (http://www.answering-christianity.com/cgi-bin/quran/quran_search1.cgi?search_text=1%3A7%2C+6%3A148&mohsin_khan=1&B1=Search).

I am not Allah Almighty.  I can not speak on His behalf.  Misguided people might have a chance to be forgiven, especially when they're ignorant, and they have doubts about the conjecture that they "believe in" (notice the double quotes).

Personally, I believe that the overwhelming majority of Trinitarians have doubts about Jesus being GOD Almighty.  This is why you always argue it and debate it amongst yourselves every single day.  Just like atheists.  They have to debate GOD Almighty's existence every single day, because deep inside, they know they are wrong.  Even Bill Oreilly proved that he's a clown in this point:

Trinity Belief or Trinity Club?

So, those who misled you will bear both their sins and yours (the ones they caused you to do).  See Noble Verses 16:25, 29:12-13 (http://www.answering-christianity.com/cgi-bin/quran/quran_search1.cgi?search_text=16%3A25%2C+29%3A12-13&mohsin_khan=1&arabic=1&B1=Search).  However, this is not a guarantee that the misguided one will not be punished.  Not at all.  In fact, there are ample Noble Verses that promise Hell Fire to those who misguide people and to the misguided ones:

This is why I say it is up to Allah Almighty.  It will uniquely depend on your individual case.  After all, Allah Almighty uses the cleanliness of your heart to judge your deeds.  See Noble Verses 26:89, 37:84, 50:33, 2:225, 49:14, 2:204, 3:159, 8:24 (http://www.answering-christianity.com/cgi-bin/quran/quran_search1.cgi?search_text=26%3A89%2C+37%3A84%2C+50%3A33%2C+2%3A225%2C+49%3A14%2C+2%3A204%2C+3%3A159%2C+8%3A24&mohsin_khan=1&arabic=1&B1=Search).  The Perfect Judge, and the Judge of all judges will make all of the Judgments in the End.  All Praise and Glory are due to Him.
