[032:009]  But He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him something of His spirit. And He gave you (the faculties of) hearing and sight and feeling (and understanding): little thanks do ye give!

[032:009]  Then He improved and refined, and breathed His spirit into man. After that, He created your ears, your eyes and your heart. Seldom do you offer thanks!

Transliteration:

[032:009]  Thumma sawwahu wanafakha feehi min roohihi wajaAAala lakumu alssamAAa waal-absara waal-af-idata qaleelan ma tashkuroona

32:9 ثم سواه ونفخ فيه من روحه وجعل لكم السمع والابصار والافئدة قليلا ماتشكرون

Sher Ali:

[032:009]  Then HE endowed him with perfect faculties and breathed into him of HIS spirit. And HE has given you ears, and eyes, and hearts. But little thanks do you give !

Shakir:

[032:009]  Then He made him complete and breathed into him of His spirit, and made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts; little is it that you give thanks.

Pickthall:

[032:009]  Then He fashioned him and breathed into him of His Spirit; and appointed for you hearing and sight and hearts. Small thanks give ye!

Sale:

[032:009]  and then formed him into proper shape, and breathed of his spirit into him; and hath given you the senses of hearing and seeing, and hearts to understand. How small thanks do ye return!

Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan:

[032:009]  Then He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him the soul (created by Allah for that person), and He gave you hearing (ears), sight (eyes) and hearts. Little is the thanks you give!

[032:009]  then He fashioned him and breathed into him of His spirit, and made for you hearing and eyesight and hearts;- little is it that ye give thanks!

Arberry:

[032:009]  then He shaped him, and breathed His spirit in him. And He appointed for you hearing, and sight, and hearts; little thanks you show.

[032:009]  He shaped him and blew into him from His spirit. And He gave you the hearing, the eyesight, and the brains; rarely are you thankful.

[038:072]  "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him."

[038:072]  “You must fall down prostrate before him (in submission), after I have fashioned him and have breathed into him the spirit created by Me.”

Transliteration:

[038:072]  Fa-itha sawwaytuhu wanafakhtu feehi min roohee faqaAAoo lahu sajideena

38:72 فاذا سويته ونفخت فيه من روحى فقعوا له ساجدين

[038:072]  `And so when I fashioned him in perfection, and have breathed into him of My Spirit, fall ye down into submission to him.'

[038:072]  So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, then fall down making obeisance to him.

[038:072]  And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall down before him prostrate,
