1-  How can I convert to Islam?

In order for you to convert to Islam, all you really have to do is to say: "I bear witness that there is no GOD but Allah, and Muhammad is His Servant and Messenger."  This is called taking the Shahadatyn pillar, or the bearing of the two witnesses pillar.  Islam has 5 pillars.  This is the first and most important pillar.   Doing this by itself and truly believing in it will by itself make you a Muslim.  Please visit the following articles:

  • As a Muslim, you have to fulfill the other four pillars:

2-  Praying by prostrating to Allah Almighty in worship.  This is called the Salat pillar.

3-  Pay Charity to the poor, which is 2.5 percent of your net annual income.  This is called the Zakat pillar.

4-  Fast the Month of Ramadan.  This is calling the Soumu Ramadan pillar, or Fasting Ramadan pillar.  If you're traveling or if you're sick, then fasting becomes optional for you, and you must fast some other day to make it up.  Women on their periods are neither obligated to fast, nor to make up the missed day.

5-  Do the pilgrimage in Mecca at least once in your life time, only if you are debt-free and are able physically and financially do it.  This is called the Hajj pillar.

2-  The steps after becoming a Muslim:

Becoming a Believer, or a Mu'min in Arabic, is the higher level than just a Muslim:

"The Arabs said, "We are Mu'mens (believers)." Say, "You have not believed; what you should say is, `We are Muslims (submitters),' until belief is established in your hearts." If you obey GOD and His messenger, He will not put any of your works to waste. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.  (The Noble Quran, 49:14)"

A Muslim Believer is one who believes in the following:

1-  Allah Almighty as the One, True, and Living Sovereign and Undivided GOD Almighty of the entire Universe and Everything.  A Muslim too believes in this, because this is a Must to fulfill the first pillar above.

    2-  The Angels.

3-  The Books of Allah Almighty that were sent to the people before the Glorious Quran was sent to Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.

4-  The Prophets of Allah Almighty, from Adam all the way to Muhammad, peace be upon all of them.

5-  The decreed fate.  You must believe that Allah Almighty is the only One who determines the outcomes, results and destinies.  In other words, after you try your best to accomplished a lawful worldly task, it is only Allah Almighty that is responsible for the success or failure of your work.   If you succeed, then it is from Allah, and if you fail, then it is also from Allah.

6-  The Day of Judgment and the Resurrection.

7-  Being a genuine believer.  Uphold the Moral Code of the Glorious Quran.  Throughout the Glorious Quran, Allah Almighty, in 100s of Noble Verses, made the believers and doing good synonymous, by mentioning them both together.  You could not possibly be both a Genuine Believer and a crooked person at the same time!  Please visit:

3-  Why should I convert to Islam?

In short, Islam came to restore the original Faith.  Islam is the original Faith, and there are many references to Islam and the Muslims throughout even the previous Scriptures in the Bible and outside the Bible:

  • The Bible calls the believers "Muslimeen" (Muslims):
