Quennel Gale wrote:
"Life In Paradise
The Quran teaches that men will be granted access to a paradise that is purely carnal:
As to the righteous, they will be in gardens and in happiness...(to them will be said,)
"Eat and drink ye with profit and health, because of your (good) deeds." They
will recline (with ease) on thrones (of dignity) arranged in ranks; and We shall join them
(in the original: marry them) to companions with beautiful, big and lustrous eyes... And
We shall bestow on them, of fruit and meat, anything they desire. S. 52:17, 19, 20, 22
(see also 4:57; 76:12-22; 55:54-56; 47:15)
Even more astonishing is this description:
"Surely for the godfearing awaits a place of security, gardens and vineyards, and
maidens of swelling breasts (kawa'eb), like of age, and a cup overflowing." S. 78:33
Arberry (see also Dawood, Rodwell)
Ibn Kathir, one of Islam's premiere commentators, notes:
"Kawa'eb" - "swelling and firm, not sagging." (Quoted in Women in
Islam, p. 30)
To imagine that God would reveal such a verse, wherein he would actually say that in
paradise one will find women who literally have firm breasts is incredulous."

yishan-
The fallacy committed by the Quennel Gale here, and it is not strange to this guy, is that
he has taken the word "kawa'eb" by itself to try and compare the words of the
Quran to the words of the bible!!! I know Q would not understand simple statements, so I
have to explain further!!!
What Quennel Gale failed to understand, I cannot blame him for his ignorance of the Arabic
language, is that the verse containing the word "kawa'eb" is one whole verse
dealing with the rewards awaiting the believers in the one true God and abstaining from
chasing after lusts of the flesh during their lives. In reward, God will give them wives
(in paradise) with the best attributes that any man can desire -beauty, young age,
whiteness of the skin, virgin and have reached maturity. It is a known fact even to
teenagers like the Quennel Gale, that a girl will start to have the attributes of
womanhood when she raches puberty. Puberty varies from one person (male or female) to the
other. Some boys/girls reach puberty and become productive at earlier ages that others. In
the middle east and african countries it is not strange to have young marriages and
conception.
The verse is talking of the rewards awaiting the believers, and even the word
"kawa'eb" is a respectable word and is a metonymy of all the above attributes
and is not given in the same vulgar, descriptive manner as the verses found in the bible.
The Quennel Gale cannot be blamed for lacking the knowledge of the Arabic language, but he
can be blamed for his biased opinions and lack of "asking" when it comes to
things that will refute his views! He doesn't seem to spare any efforts to seek the help
of Hebrew "friends" or Arab Christians, why didn't he seek the help of some
Muslim or even un-baised Christians from the Arab world who would explain to him the verse
in context!
But I guess that in trying to refute Osama's posts, he would do anything to defend the
vulgar language in his bible by trying to compare it to the indirect metonymy in the
Quran.
