The expansion of the earth - mentioned in the Noble Quran and confirmed by Science:

With this said, let us now look at what Allah Almighty Said in the Noble Quran:

2-  The Scientific Proofs:

The following scientific proofs demonstrate the Glorious Quran's Divine Miracle, and the Truthfulness of Prophet Muhammad's authentic Sayings (Hadiths):

(a)-  Dahaha (دحاها) means expanded, made spherical, balanced, and caused to move:

Dahaha (دحاها) means expanded, made spherical, balanced, and caused to move.  For ample proofs for this from the encyclopedic Lisan Al-Arab dictionary and many other similar Arabic dictionaries that have meanings and examples of poems, proverbs, Sayings and many other quotations that demonstrate the definitions of a certain word and how it was used by the Arabs of old, that even predate Islam, please visit:

(b)-  The smaller the planet, the lesser the gravity, and the bigger and taller the creatures will be.

Scientists have proved that the smaller the planet that has so much mass in it, the lesser its gravity, and the taller and bigger its creatures will be.  This is why earth, for instance, had gigantic dinosaurs on it.  It's size was smaller, and hence, its gravity was lesser, and hence, the size of the creatures that were living on it were much larger. 

Notice also in the following pictures, and also in the next sub-section below, how earth was much smaller during the age of the Dinosaurs.  Let us compare what its size then to its size now:

Dinosaurs are estimated to have lived during the ages before the age of Cretaceous.  As shown in the earth-models in the next sub-section below, the ages before the Cretaceous age were the Early Jurassic and Late Jurassic ages.

Earth back then was much smaller in size and much lower in gravity than what it is now.  That is why it had gigantic dinosaurs on it.  The following scientists and scientific proofs further prove this:

Therefore, it should be of no conflict with science to claim that Adam's size, or man's initial size on earth in general, was in the neighborhood of 90 feet tall, or that the first human-race ever walked on earth was around 90 feet tall, give or take 10 to 20 feet between the creatures' differences in heights as we today have people as tall as 7 feet and as short as 2 feet tall.  The reason for this is simply because the planet earth was much smaller than what it is now.

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said that Adam, peace be upon him, was around 90 feet tall when he lived on earth.  This goes in perfect harmony with the fact that earth used to be much much smaller, which no one knew this fact at the time of the Prophet, and that it kept growing as demonstrated in the following sub-section.

  
  
(c)-  The earth was much smaller and kept expanding:

This sub-section is further proven by sub-section b above.  The fact that earth had far larger, taller and heavier creatures on it (dinosaurs and others) proves that it was a much smaller planet.  As scientists confirmed in sub-section b above, the smaller the planet, the lesser its gravity and the larger and taller its creatures will be.

3-  Conclusion:

Again, the Noble Quran is filled with scientific statements and notions.  These are statements of Allah Almighty describing how He created things on earth and in the Universe.  What's most amazing is that all of these scientific statements and notions had been proven to be in perfect agreement with science and our modern-day scientific discoveries.  Allah Almighty made the Noble Quran be Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) Everlasting Divine Miracle and proof for Prophethood.  The Holy Book certainly stood the test of time 1,500 years ago with Its Claims, Prophecies and Miraculous language eloquence, and it does again and again in our day today with Its overwhelming agreement with science and discoveries that were not known to man 1,500 years ago.

Allah Almighty Said: "We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and inside their selves, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a witness over all things?  (The Noble Quran, 41:53)"
