The inheritance law in Islam and the Bible:

The sections of this article are:

1-  Inheritance in Islam.
2-  Inheritance in the Bible.
3-  Conclusion.

1-  Inheritance in Islam:

In Islam, the male inherits double the female, because the man is legally responsible for his parents, wife, children, divorcee (for a period of time), sisters (single or widowed), and his aunts.  He can be sued in court by any of these people if he neglects them, and the court would enforce payments upon him to them.  The following Noble Verses provide the evidence for this:

Noble Verse(s) 4:34
Yusuf Ali:

[004:034]  Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because God has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what God would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For God is Most High, great (above you all).

Arabic (from right to left):

4:34 الرجال قوامون على النساء بما فضل الله بعضهم على بعض وبما انفقوا من اموالهم فالصالحات قانتات حافظات للغيب بما حفظ الله واللاتي تخافون نشوزهن فعظوهن واهجروهن في المضاجع واضربوهن فان اطعنكم فلاتبغوا عليهن سبيلا ان الله كان عليا كبيرا

    Noble Verse(s) 4:11-4:12
    Yusuf Ali:

[004:011]  God (thus) directs you as regards your Children's (Inheritance): to the male, a portion equal to that of two females: if only daughters, two or more, their share is two-thirds of the inheritance; if only one, her share is a half. For parents, a sixth share of the inheritance to each, if the deceased left children; if no children, and the parents are the (only) heirs, the mother has a third; if the deceased Left brothers (or sisters) the mother has a sixth. (The distribution in all cases Is) after the payment of legacies and debts. Ye know not whether your parents or your children are nearest to you in benefit. These are settled portions ordained by God; and God is All-knowing, Al- wise.

[004:012]  In what your wives leave, your share is a half, if they leave no child; but if they leave a child, ye get a fourth; after payment of legacies and debts. In what ye leave, their (the widow) share is a fourth, if ye leave no child; but if ye leave a child, they get an eighth; after payment of legacies and debts. If the man or woman whose inheritance is in question, has left neither ascendants nor descendants, but has left a brother or a sister, each one of the two gets a sixth; but if more than two, they share in a third; after payment of legacies and debts; so that no loss is caused (to any one). Thus is it ordained by God; and God is All-knowing, Most Forbearing.

Notice here how the parents of the deceased, his wife and children all inherit.

    2-  Inheritance in the Bible:

The Bible is clear about if sons exist, then the daughters inherit nothing:

    Numbers 27
8 "Say to the Israelites, 'If a man dies and leaves no son, turn his inheritance over to his daughter.
9 If he has no daughter, give his inheritance to his brothers.
10 If he has no brothers, give his inheritance to his father's brothers.
11 If his father had no brothers, give his inheritance to the nearest relative in his clan, that he may possess it. This is to be a legal requirement for the Israelites, as the LORD commanded Moses.' "

Notice how the wife (widow) inherits nothing.  And notice how the daughter only inherits when no sons exist.  Also, the oldest son inherits double the younger son:

    Deuteronomy 21
15 If a man has two wives, and he loves one but not the other, and both bear him sons but the firstborn is the son of the wife he does not love,
16 when he wills his property to his sons, he must not give the rights of the firstborn to the son of the wife he loves in preference to his actual firstborn, the son of the wife he does not love.
17 He must acknowledge the son of his unloved wife as the firstborn by giving him
a double share of all he has. That son is the first sign of his father's strength. The right of the firstborn belongs to him.

    From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inheritance#Jewish_laws_of_inheritance

    Jewish Laws of Inheritance

The inheritance is patrilineal. The father —that is, the owner of the land— bequeaths only to his male descendants, so the Promised Land passes from one Jewish father to his sons.

If there were no living sons and no descendants of any previously living sons, daughters could inherit. In Numbers 27:1-4, the daughters of Zelophehad (Mahlah, Noa, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah) of the tribe of Manasseh come to Moses and ask for their father's inheritance, as they have no brothers. The order of inheritance is set out in Numbers 27:7-11: a man's sons inherit first, daughters if no sons, brothers if he has no children, and so on.

Later, in Numbers 36, some of the heads of the families of the tribe of Manasseh come to Moses and point out that, if a daughter inherits and then marries a man not from her paternal tribe, her land will pass from her birth-tribe's inheritance into her marriage-tribe's. So a further rule is laid down: if a daughter inherits land, she must marry someone within her father's tribe. (The daughters of Zelophehad marry the sons' of their father's brothers. There is no indication that this was not their choice.)

The tractate Baba Bathra, written during late Antiquity in Babylon, deals extensively with issues of property ownership and inheritance according to Jewish Law. Other works of Rabbinical Law, such as the Hilkhot naḥalot : mi-sefer Mishneh Torah leha-Rambam,[3] and the Sefer ha-yerushot: ʻim yeter ha-mikhtavim be-divre ha-halakhah be-ʻAravit uve-ʻIvrit uve-Aramit[4] also deal with inheritance issues. The first, often abbreviated to Mishneh Torah, was written by Maimonides and was very important in Jewish tradition.

All these sources agree that the firstborn son is entitled to a double portion of his father's estate: Deuteronomy 21:17. This means that, for example, if a father left five sons, the firstborn receives a third of the estate and each of the other four receives a sixth. If he left nine sons, the firstborn receives a fifth and each of the other eight receive a tenth.[3][5] If the eldest surviving son is not the firstborn son, he is not entitled to the double portion.

Philo of Alexandria[6] and Josephus[7] also comment on the Jewish laws of inheritance, praising them above other law codes of their time. They also agreed that the firstborn son must receive a double portion of his father's estate.

Who was the sacrificed son?  [1] [2]

1-  Who was the sacrificed son?

Ishmael's Covenant was made for the latter generations according to both Islam and the Bible.  Let us look at Ishmael in great details:

  • Noble Verses 37:100-111 speak about Ishmael being the sacrifice.  Ishmael in these Noble Verses promised his father to be obedient to Allah Almighty’s Command for him to get slaughtered.

  • Noble Verse 19:54 confirms this Promise:

    19:54

[019:054]  Also mention in the Book (the story of) Isma'il: He was (strictly) true to what he promised صادق الوعد, and he was an apostle (and) a prophet.

    Here is Ishmael's Promise:

37:102 فلما بلغ معه السعي قال يابني اني ارى في المنام اني اذبحك فانظر ماذا ترى قال ياابت افعل ماتؤمر ستجدني ان شاء الله من الصابرين

[037:102]  Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if God so wills one practising Patience and Constancy! ستجدني ان شاء الله من الصابرين"

  • Noble Verse 37:112 talks about Allah Almighty gave Abraham the glad tidings of the coming of Isaac, who will be a Prophet.  But in the earlier Noble Verse 37:101, a glad tiding was already given for the other son, Ishmael.

  • Ishmael was put on PAUSE until the covenant of the Israelites comes to an end:

Like In Jeremiah and Isaiah verses, below, about Arabia's Promise to come later, Ishmael's name and Honor were reserved for Praise for the later generations.  Let us look at Noble Verse 37:108:

    37:108  وتركنا عليه في الاخرين
[037:108] and left for him among the later folk

    Jeremiah 51:33
33 For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; The daughter of Babylon (Arabia) is like a threshing floor, it is time to thresh her: yet a little while, and the time of her harvest shall come.

The Bible defines "Daughter of Babylon" to be Arabia.  There are three Babylons mentioned in the Bible.  Arabia was defined as the virgin daughter of Babylon.  This is because it never had a Divine Religion with Divine Revelations sent to it yet.  Jeremiah 51:33 says that the time of sending the Divine Religion of Islam to Arabia shall come.  And Noble Verse 37:108 says that Ishmael's Covenant to Mankind was put for the latter generations.

Here are several of the English translations Noble Verse 37:108:

[037:108] And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations.
[037:108] And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation).
[037:108] And We left the following salutation to be bestowed on him by the latest posterity,
[037:108] And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times.
[037:108] and left for him among the later folk

A PAUSE WAS PUT ON ISHMAEL until later generations (after the Jewish Covenant comes to an end).  Also visit this PPT file: Ishmael was put on pause until the Israelites' Covenant passes.  See slides 32-38.  Both the Bible and Glorious Quran agree on this.

  • Now let’s see what the Bible says about Arabia and Ishmael…
  •

2-  The Bible’s Support for Ishmael:

Even in the altered Bible, there is strong evidence that support that Ishmael was the son to be sacrificed.  Ishmael's name means "GOD Heard", which implies:

  • GOD finally heard my Prayers, or
  • GOD finally answered my Prayers.

The Jews from birth are liars?

  • Bible says that Jews' from their essence were liars.  From their "birth" they were liars the Old Testament declares them.  This is another proof that the Bible is full of man-made corruption and fabrications, especially in the Jews' ancient history and stories.  Jeremiah 8:8 is thoroughly covered here.

  •

Ishmael was 13 years older than Isaac, and Noble Verse 37:102 supports that Ishmael was a teenage boy:

  • 37:102 فلما بلغ معه السعي قال يابني اني ارى في المنام اني اذبحك فانظر ماذا ترى قال ياابت افعل ماتؤمر ستجدني ان شاء الله من الصابرين

[037:102]  Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if God so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!"
  •
Ishmael was put on PAUSE until the Covenant of the Israelites comes to an end:

  • Once again, we read in Noble Verse 37:108:

    [037:108]
And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations.

  • The Bible says:

Jeremiah 51:33  Arabia has not yet met its threshold, and the time of her harvest shall come. [2]
Jeremiah 31:31 “The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah.

Isaiah 41:8-13 GOD Almighty assures the House of Jacob that they are still loved and chosen by GOD Almighty.  Do not be afraid (of this Servant).”  Never was this said to an Israelite Prophet.  THE ENTIRE HOUSE OF JACOB were commanded to not be afraid of him, because he will be a NON-ISRAELITE Prophet.

The Pilgrimage to the House of GOD in Arabia Prophecy in the Bible:

  • The House of GOD Almighty in Arabia, and pilgrimage to It, was thoroughly prophesied in the Bible.

  • I also added the Zamzam and Climate Change Prophesies to the article [1].

3-  Abraham had no child for almost 100 years. He was completely barren:

Abraham was very desperate for a son.  Ishmael was the greatest gift from GOD Almighty to Abraham.  This is why Abraham named him GOD finally Answered my Prayer.  GOD Almighty put Abraham to the ultimate test by Commanding him to slaughter this precious son.  Abraham obeyed GOD Almighty by attempting to slaughter his son, Ishmael.  Ishmael too was true to his promise.  He never resisted, nor disobeyed.  He was willing to get slaughtered for the Will of Allah Almighty.  GOD Almighty saved Ishmael at the last minute, and Commanded Abraham to slaughter a ram instead.

4-  The corrupt Jewish books say it was Isaac:

But the name "ISHMAEL" really exposes their lies and gives it all away!  The name clearly suggests that Abraham was MOST DESPERATE with Ishmael, and hence, Ishmael's test would‘ve been FAR GREATER than Isaac's.  Isaac was the second son, and 13 years younger.  The Jewish Law gives double the inheritance to the OLDEST SON when the father dies (Deuteronomy 21:17).

This is not a war between Ishmael and Isaac.  In Islam, we honor all of the people of Israel's Prophets and Messengers of GOD Almighty.  Peace be upon Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac. And peace be upon Hagar and Sara.  Again, please visit:

"El" in names as in Ishmael was common among the Jews.  Is the GOD of Islam different?  Allah Almighty allowed for His Holy Name to be shortened as "El" in Ishmael, and Lillah for Li-Allah in the Quran, as in Alhamdulillah in both Islam and Judaism.

    5-  Is Elohim Allah? [1, *] [2] [3]

The "im" in Hebrew is a majestic plural for GOD Almighty.  The root Word is "Eloh".  And the more original Jews such as Yemenites and others say Alohim or Alah-im.  And when you yourself pronounce it, you do naturally pronounce it with a double "l": Allah.  Jews do call Him: Allah-im.  Aramaic-speaking people also call GOD Almighty Allah.  See the following videos for Biblical references and proofs.  Also, pre-Islamic Biblical archeological findings have GOD Almighty as "Allah".  So the Original Holy Name for GOD Almighty is not Eloh.  It is Allah!  Eloh is a Hebrew dialect, which not all Hebrew speakers use anyway.  Allah had always been the Original and Universal GOD Almighty even before birth of Judaism, and the existence Hebrew.  And Hebrew is a developed language from Phoenician.  See the following links:

    6-  What about “EL”?

"El" was a shortened name for Allah (ALIF, LAMED, LAMED, HEY) In Hebrew.  Watch above vidoes.  Allah is also spelled out with ALIF, LAMED, LAMED, HEY in Hebrew to be GOD.  Allah Almighty allowed for shortening of His Holy Name and Titles for the Jews.  This is where you get Ishmael, Garbriel, Ezekiel (short for Allah).  This is also where you get Hallelujah, Netanyahu (short for Yahuwah, or Yahweh) Islam also has shortened Name for Allah Almighty.  Alhamdulillah is short for Alhamdu li Allah Visit:
  • What is the Wisdom of Islam?  Allah Almighty allowed for customized Laws and Creeds for different groups of people.
There is only one Religion with GOD, and that is Islam.  But Islam was allowed to be customized for different groups of people, and in different times, languages, dialects, ages:

    Noble Verse(s) 5:48
    Yusuf Ali:

    [005:048]  To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety: so judge between them by what God hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the Truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have we prescribed a law and an open way. If God had so willed, He would have made you a single people, but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to God; it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute;

    3-  Conclusion:

It is quite clear that in Islam, the the man is responsible for the women of his immediate family.  Also, the parents of the deceased, his wife and children all inherit.

In the Bible, on the other hand, the widow and the deceased parents inherit nothing as long as children exist.  And if sons exist, then daughters inherit nothing.  And the oldest son gets double the younger son.

    *  Science: GENETICALLY, women are less interested in math, problem solving and engineering than men.

    (Click to play video)

Although physiologically speaking, men are not smarter than women, but genetically speaking, it's been scientifically proven that women have LESSER INTEREST than men in mathematics, problem solving and engineering.

Also, women in primitive societies were much more involved in raising children, cooking, milking, harvesting, and taking care of the family. Men were primarily more involved in trading, commerce, financial transactions, defense and all of the other physical jobs, such as metal smith, harvesting, carpentry, and other jobs.

Allah Almighty Said in the Glorious Quran:

"O ye who believe! When ye deal with each other, in transactions involving future obligations in a fixed period of time, reduce them to writing; let a scribe write down faithfully as between the parties: let not the scribe refuse to write: as God Has taught him, so let him write. Let him who incurs the liability dictate, but let him fear His Lord God, and not diminish aught of what he owes. If they party liable is mentally deficient, or weak, or unable Himself to dictate, let his guardian dictate faithfully, and get two witnesses, out of your own men, and if there are not two men, then a man and two women, such as ye choose, for witnesses, so that if one of them errs, the other can remind her...."  (The Noble Quran, 2:282)
