Jalal Abualrub: The fake Scholar of Islam

Originally I had not intended to write this articles on Jalal Abualrub, but I felt that I was obliged to, the reason being is simply because Jalal and his TEAM will be carrying out their articles and supposed rebuttals on Osama, so therefore as I am a member of the writing staff on this team, it is incumbent upon me to defend Osama and expose Jalal.

 

Now I know many Muslims dislike seeing a Muslim argue another Muslim, but in this case it is necessary, as we all know, in this day and age the Muslim community is not only attacked by missionaries such answering-Islam and other sites, but that within the Muslim community we have several fake scholars and several big headed Muslims who feel they have the right go around calling every Muslim a kaffir simply because they have a minor difference in the way they view things. I know most Muslims will know exactly what I am talking about, so therefore it is vital that we expose such people who are a MINORITY within the Muslim community, and you could say a cancer, and the main cause of division amongst Muslims.

 

Jalal is in this category of big headed people who think they can go around calling Muslims kaffirs, and acting like scholars when they themselves do not live up to their own expectations and so on.

 

So please to all Muslims, do not feel down or bad about this article because it is addressing another Muslim. Muslims such as Jalal must be put in their place with their extreme views towards their very own Muslim brothers, once again I feel that you the reader know exactly from where I am coming from, which is to simply expose these extreme Muslims who feel that they have the right to call any Muslim a kaffir because of some disagreements on certain issues.

 

With that said, we now proceed to expose Jalal’s  shallow behavior, lies, and un-Islamic ways which prove that this man is a fake, just because you are called a scholar does not mean you are sincere or means you can do whatever you feel like. In fact one of the worst hypocrites and the worst people are those who become scholars simply for the fame and so on, and do not act upon what they teach and what they have learned, which is what we find with Jalal.

 

In fact what makes this exposure of Jalal all the more fascinating is that it is thanks to his site and his own team member that I was able to get this crucial vital information on Jalal which completely exposes him, such an incident is not a coincidence and I thank Allah for this.

 

A couple of days ago, I visited Jalal’s forum, the exact forum page can be found here:

The forum page is slightly different than the original thread which first appeared, why? The reason the thread is slightly different is because Jalal removed an email posted on the forum by his own team member, his team member Omar had posted an email sent by Jalal back in march which showed Jalal simply telling his writers to leave Osama alone and to remove their articles on Osama since Osama was doing the same, the conflict was ended.

 

However so, the email of Jalal was even more revealing, in that very same email Jalal was also seen backbiting OTHER writers of this site who were not even involved with the articles between Osama and Jalal!

 

In fact this email of Jalal is so bad for him that he removed it from the thread, here is what Jalal says on this forum board when he found out that his email had been placed on the forum by his own team member:

i am truly busy with my projects and do not have time for osama at all... i removed the personal email that br al-habashee posted up; the brother should have consulted with me before doing that, may allah forgive him ( i am not angry)... as you all know, i had no idea that this osama reposted the garbage he had before, and i had no idea about the posts on this forum about him either; and i certainly have no clue as to the petition that osama is talking about nor know shaheed waheed fareed or whatever his name is: all this was news to me and frankly i care less to be involved in it at this time... so, i will give osama a few days -until jumuah- to remove his attacks on the sunnah which he reposted, and i will remove this entire post too, or else let the people read the kind of religion this man propagates... and in advance, those who will cry at the unity of muslims and all that stuff, let them cry if they read my more than a hundred pages of rebuttal ... so please brothers, leave this post as it is for now and do not add anything on it until we see what this man wants to do...

So as you can see, Jalal was so embarrassed by this email which was posted by his own member that he removed it!

 

However so, since I am a step ahead of Jalal, I saved the email since I knew Jalal would eventually remove it, here is the email which was originally posted on the forum by Jalal’s own team member, this email was sent by Jalal back in March, as you will shortly see, Jalal backbites and insults ALL the authors of this website, authors who had nothing to do with Jalal! :

So this is the email that Jalal removed from his own forum, he was very embarrassed by it as he should be.

 

Notice the evil backbiting he does on me and other writers on this site, he attacks me, Umar, Bassam, Karrim, Abdullah Smith, and Munir by calling us big Quranis!

 

This indeed is very sad and shallow, the reason being is because at the same time Jalal claimed he had no problems with me Bassam or Karim, or any other writer on this site, he said his problems were with Osama, as we see, he was simply lying to our face, to our faces he said he had no problems with us, behind our backs he called us BIG Quranis!

 

Not only that, Jalal goes as far as to claim that he and his men are BETTER than us, now I could really care less about such comments, but what actually makes him think that they are better men than us? Is he God to be able to judge who is a better man? Also how can he claim that they are better men when one of our writers on this site Dr. Munir Munshey has made his own translation of the mighty Noble Quran!

How can he claim they are better men when two of our writers are former Christians, and have converted to Islam! Brother Karim and Abdullah both converted to Islam and should be commended and praised for such a great deed.

 

So as you the reader can see, Jalal is nothing more than a snake, going behind our backs and making lies about us, yet when he is face to face with us he says he has no problems for us and so on. Such behaviour is very sad and just goes to show that Jalal is a fake, he practices what he does not preach.

 

But now this liar must prove his claim, the fake scholar claims that the authors of this site are BIG Quranis, note the word BIG. He does not simply say we are Quranis, no he says we are BIG Quranis. So therefore I challenge Jalal to bring this evidence forth that me and other writers on this site are BIG Quranis. If anything most of our articles prove we are not even small Quranis!

Brother Karim’s articles and booklet quotes many many Hadiths! His booklet on women in Islam can be found here where he quotes so many Hadiths:

Not only that, Karim wrote a whole article regarding Hadith mis-conceptions, if Karim was a BIG Qurani don’t you think he could have simply said all these hadiths are fake? No, instead he wrote a great major article point by point on several mis-understood and mis-translated hadiths, his article can be found here:

There are many many more hadiths which are often used against Muslims, which brother Karim specifically addresses, don’t you think if he was a BIG Qurani that he would have simply said the hadiths are fake instead of going through great detail explaining them?

Now note, a BIG Qurani is someone who rejects the hadiths as a whole, and believes the hadiths are generally corrupt with very little true information, you will find non of that on this site. In fact this site has started a hadith project!

 

So I challenge Jalal to show all the readers how the authors of this site are BIG Quranis, he must show us where the authors of this site reject the majority of hadiths if not all. As Allah says bring your proof if you are truthful. Jalal will not be able to do so, but since he made the claim, I shall now hold it against him, and since he will never be able to prove it then we all bear witness that this man is a liar, and a deceiver, who goes around backbiting his own Muslims spreading rumors and lies against them which he cannot back. Now tell me, is this the behavior of a scholar?

 

However so, the problems for Jalal do not stop there, no, they do not stop at all. Because you see folks, Jalal quite a while ago called Osama a KAFFIR, an APOSTATE. As I said in today’s Muslim community we have people who think they have a right to call Muslims kaffirs for any reason they feel, in fact Muslims like Jalal spend more time attacking Muslims than they do Christian missionary propaganda!

 

But anyway, I wrote an article on this issue, of why it is wrong for Jalal to call Osama an apostate, because the fact is unless you make this claim and you are 100% correct, then you should be very worried for the hell-fire, because calling a real Muslim a kaffir is a MAJOR SIN in Islam, this sin is so major that the claim you make against the real Muslim will fall back on you. So since Osama is NOT a Kaffir, nor apostate, and Jalal claimed he was, then Jalal is in danger of becoming a kaffir and apostate himself, that is unless he repents of such lies, which until now he did not do so, but persists in calling Osama a kaffir. I quote the relevant HADITH from the prophet Muhammad, so much for me being a BIG Qurani, strange I am a big Qurani and I am about to quote a HADITH! AS Osama would say, HILLARIOUS!

 

Volume 8, Book 73, Number 71:

    Narrated Abu Dhar:

    That he heard the Prophet saying, "If somebody accuses another of Fusuq (by calling him 'Fasiq' i.e. a wicked person) or accuses him of Kufr, such an accusation will revert to him (i.e. the accuser) if his companion (the accused) is innocent."  ( Sahih Bukhari)

So if Jalal continues as he is calling Osama a kaffir, something he is not, then the accusation will fall on Jalal making him a kaffir, which means on the Day of Judgment he will be looked upon as a NON-MUSLIM, which most likely means he is going to go to hell as a result. So therefore Jalal and his team must stop calling Osama a kaffir, this would be much better for them as it would save them from the hell-fire.

Let us also show what REAL scholars have to say on treating a Muslim who does major sins, whether to call him a kaffir, or give him good advice and so on:

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.

Dear brother in Islam, we would like to thank you for showing keenness on learning the teachings of Islam, and we appreciate the great confidence you have in us. We hope our efforts meet your expectations, yet we apologize for the late reply.

As regard your question, Sheikh Hamed Al-`Ali, instructor of Islamic Heritage at the Faculty of Education, Kuwait and Imam of Dahiat As-Sabahiyya Mosque, answers:

“Whoever commits a major sin is to be treated as a Muslim because a Muslim is not regarded as Kafir (disbeliever) for committing major sins. However, we should advise this person, guide him to the straight path, and warn him against the consequences of committing sins.

However, if you see that staying away from him will benefit in making him give up the sins he is committing, when he gets to know that one of his dear friends has left him because of the sins he is committing and cannot tolerate you staying away from him, then you may stay away from him for a period of time. But if staying away from him will not benefit him, then you should advise him and try as much as you can to put him back on the right track.”

Sheikh Muhammad Iqbal Nadvi, Imam of Calgary Mosque, Canada, and Former Professor at King Saud Univ., Saudi Arabia, adds:

“Basically, what is to be understood here is that Kufr is a matter of faith. The sins cited here are related to the practice of faith. Thus, anyone who commits these sins is still called a Muslim. Only when he denies faith in Allah the Almighty, he can be branded disbeliever.

The duty of other Muslims towards such a person who commits all these sins is to spare no pains in trying to correct and advise him to avoid committing such major and heinous sins. Another thing is that the advice should be offered in private, not in public. Thus, you should commit yourself to bringing this person back to the right track by kind advice.”

This should teach Jalal the ‘scholar’ on how to behave with Muslims in the future, instead of calling them kaffirs, maybe he will now call me a kaffir!

The problems do not end there folks, no, not at all. You see when I confronted Jalal with the email, Jalal DENIED IT! He claimed he did not write it! When I told him the email was posted on his own forum, by his own team member, which showed it was sent by JALAL and had his email as the sender, Jalal then admitted he did send the email by claiming backbiting is okay in certain circumstances! So wait a minute! He first denied the email, when I attacked him for lying and backbiting, when he found out he had no way out he then admits it and says backbiting is okay! WOW! Is this man really a scholar?! And also as you can see, Jalal again admits the email is his when he told his own team member that they should not have posted the email without his permission. Sadly for Jalal he cannot turn the clock back, the email was posted on his forum by his own team member, and Allah almighty lead me to read it and save it, and I am thankful to Allah for letting Jalal the fake scholar into my hands to expose him for ALL to see, thank you Allah!

However so, we are starting to get a pattern here, that Jalal is a man of very low character, and a man of lies, backbiting and so on. To further prove this, here are some comments made by Jalal against the answering-Islam team back in November:

Jalal Abualrub first contacted us on 29 November 2004 with a debate challenge. After a couple of months of correspondence, he finally wrote on 29 January 2005:

I am not going away ... until the day when I see your website either shut down its evil doors for its confused and fanatical customers, or else I will expose you lying statement by lying statement, and one writer at a time. And I will have great fun dismantling your articles and then your entire religion. Indeed, Allah is the Lord even if the criminal polytheists and disbelievers hate Him.

... i am going to target your website, your authors, your articles, and then you with rebuttal after rebuttal and challenge your lies and distortions one after another, and encourage muslims to do the same, and will also target your religion with criticism, articles that contain much evidence revealing the contradictions in your book, the creed that you invented on your own, etc...the only way you can avert this is by you shutting down your hateful website and disbanding the liars you have for writers...islam is winning this in a big way and christianity is lossing in a big way... This was an email sent by Jalal to the missionary site of answering-Islam, note the tough talk by Jalal, he said he would dismantle answering-Islam, refuting their articles one by one until the site has closed down, indeed that is nice. But sadly, Jalal has failed to do anything against Answering-Islam! He has produced a total of around 7 articles against them! I will put it at 10 to be kind. So what has happened Jalal? Why do you spend more time dealing with your own Muslim brothers than you do with the people who really attack Islam, why don’t you keep your word and do as you said, why have you failed your own Muslims? Many Muslims out there expect to see what you said you would do, article after article refuting Answering-Islam, sadly you could not provide this, however so, not to worry, the Muslims get that from us, because this website has been refuting and addressing answering-Islam’s articles one after another.

It seems Jalal is more busy spending time calling his own Muslim people kaffirs than he is to try and refute answering-Islam to strengthen the faiths of Muslims, and this my fellow Muslims is the problem we have in our community today, people like Jalal who claim to know all yet hardly deal with issues against Islam and polemic.

So I think it is clear now, Jalal is a liar, a backbiter on his own Muslims spreading lies with no proof, he cannot live up to his own word, and he shall become a kaffir not because I said so, but because the prophet Muhammad himself said this, if you make a false claim on a Muslim, that false claim will come back on you.

Muslims everywhere should stand up to Jalal and his likes, because it is people like him who are the reason why Muslims divide, small elements like him must be exposed, and once this is done Islam can unite as one, and these thugs can then go argue with each other which will happen, these extreme guys like Jalal do not even get along with their own same minded people!

May Allah protect us from these extreme people as Jalal, and may Allah strengthen us against such people who call us kaffirs and try to shake our faith, may he keep us stead-fast and turn the claims they make on us back to themselves! AMEEN!
