It doesn't matter if there were 1 or 10 other Najds in far distant lands, my dear brother.  The fact that the Sahaba (Companions) asked the Prophet "O Messenger of Allaah, and our Najd", proves that they were referring to the Najd in Saudi Arabia.  Keep in mind that for the 23 years of Prophethood, the Prophet NEVER left the area that is between Mecca and Medina and their near by towns, which all exist in the Najd province.  So "O Messenger of Allaah, and our Najd" clearly refers to that place, and not Iraq.

Najd at that time also reffered to an area west of the Euphrates river, which some of the sahaba came from. the prophet has left the are between makkah and medina, like tabuk and najran and khaibar. i could also be refering to the najd province of saudi arabia.
anyway, only god knows for sure
