Title: JESUS is GOD – Prophecies
Post by: ahmed007 on September 27, 2015, 07:06:51 AM
Divine Messiah predicted in the Old Testament
Isaiah 7:14 “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.”1

“Immanuel” literally means: “God with us.” See also Matthew 1:23; Jesus was “God with us.”

This Messiah would be born a human son, but have a higher nature
Isaiah 9:6 “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

This was a radical statement coming from a monotheistic Jewish prophet -- especially calling a human being “Mighty God”; but one that God fulfilled centuries later in Christ.

A couple hundred years later, but still more than half a millennium before Jesus walked the earth, more was predicted about the Messiah’s divine nature
Daniel 7:13-14 “There before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven . . . He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.”

“Son of Man” was the primary title Jesus used for Himself -- and this passage shows that this was a clear and strong claim of deity. And in Mark, the earliest of the four Gospels, He also included the unmistakable phrase, “coming on the clouds of heaven” and applied it to Himself (Mark 14:62). His listeners got the point, refused to believe it, and added it to their reasons to try to kill Him.

Hellenistic culture are fond to worship human looking god and son of god. If you notice the so called prophecies cannot be found in one passage.
What they did is quote one verse 7:14 but did not quote the whole story. Before the kid reaches the age of moral discrimination, 12 years old at the latest, the kingdoms of Israel and Damascus will be deserted.

And then they look for other traits that can be linked with their human god in other books.

then suddenly they found verse 9:6 that seem adaptable to Pauline doctrine of human god, but then 9:6 only says about titles given to the ruler.

King Melchizedek too has titles that are equal to God himself. But that doesnt make King Melchizedek = God.
And the same applies for the messiah, in fact all the miracles carried out by the messiah were due to the permission given by Yhwh after commanding Holy Spirit to strengthen the messiah by residing in his body.

If one reads Daniel 7:13-14 its just a normal statement about "son of man". Not son of god.
And Yhwh use the phrase "son of man" in Numbers 23:19 to show that divinity cant be relate to phrase "son of man"

Assalamu alaikum dear brother Ahmed,

At first a little advice brothert. Before posting this kind of things, please add- "Christians claim, Missionaries say...etc" at the beginning or people might get confused.

Now, it's a really an old technique of those polytheists to use the OT to validate their foul Trinity.

Talking about Isaiah 7:14, the Hebrew is not even 'Virgin' it's 'Young woman'. This has been explained here.

About Isaiah 9:6, the fact that the New Testament does not quote this passage shows that even the New Testament authors didn’t take this verse to be in reference to Jesus!

This has been explained here http://www.islamreligion.com/articles/267/trinitarian-verses-part-1/

Daniel 7:13-14 is a verse where christians translators have proven how fraud they are. Firstly, it is not 'worshipped' but 'served' and secondly, it does not talk about Jesus.

http://forums.understanding-islam.com/showthread.php?10722-Daniel-7-13-14-human-receives-worship

And from a Jewish forum:
http://hermeneutics.stackexchange.com/questions/1756/jewish-interpretation-of-daniel-713-14

Yes these three verses are indeed mostly quoted by Christians trying to validate their hoax. But all have been refuted Alhamdulillah!

And here is a technique of debunking their 'prophesies'. Keep in mind that Jews understand the Scripture more than Christians, as they are actually the ones who follow OT and they actually know Hebrew- also their Rabbis are much more wise than fraud Christian translators. So whenever you see a trinitarian quoting these so called prophesies from the OT, go to google, type "Jewish explanation of Isaiah 7:14/ 9:6/ Daniel 7:13-14 and etc........" I saw myself it helps! I found the last link in this way  ;)

May Allah give us victory over these infidels.

As'salamu Alaikum dear brothers,

Please visit: www.answering-christianity.com/godtitle.htm to see the many who were given Godly titles in the Bible.  We're talking titles such as "Strong God", "God", etc...

Jesus over and over and over denied being GOD Almighty, and rejected being praised, and even said that if he were to bear witness on himself then he'd be a liar.  For more info, please visit:
