A confusing question
« on: December 15, 2017, 03:42:09 PM »
As some of you know I have been talking to an atheist recently and they have hit me with another question that I can't really answer:
"If you took away all of creation what is Allah then. Nothing because without us Allah has no purpose. So did Allah create stuff to give himself purpose?"
This is a good argument any rebuttals.

No Allah SWT did not create stuff to give himself A Purpose,Allah SWT is eternal, therefore he needs no Purpose. And everything in nature is confined in nature, therefore Nature gives purpose,And Allah SWT is not in the scope of nature.

We define purpose as the main point of oir life. Every perspn has a different purpose from the other. On the other hand, the purpose of living organisms is to survive. The real question is, does everything need a propose? Look at the rain as it has no purpose. It"s just a natural phenomenon. Allah SWT isn't there for a reason. He is just there for no reason because he is eternal, uncreated, uncaused. Why would the creator beg to the laws of his creation? So, yes Allah has no purpose, he may not create anytging after.us at all. It's better to not think how Allah looks like, or what he is. Such questions are pointless becuase none knows the nature of God.

Each and everything is purposeful which He created.

See the Principle of sufficient reason:

The principle of sufficient reason states that everything must have a reason or a cause.

The principle has a variety of expressions, all of which are perhaps best summarized by the following:

For every entity X, if X exists, then there is a sufficient explanation for why X exists.
For every event E, if E occurs, then there is a sufficient explanation for why E occurs.
For every proposition P, if P is true, then there is a sufficient explanation for why P is true.
