Kabah accused of being satanic
« on: December 16, 2017, 09:21:05 AM »
Many Christians call Islam satanic for one big reason the Kabah. In satanism they do something called black cube worship the fact Muslims circle around a giant black cube and pray towards it makes me feel confused. Please can someone debunk this. The black cube worship is definitely a satanic practice.

Assalaamu alaiykum,

To begin, the Kaabah isn't a "black cube". It is a prism stone building that is currently built with granite with its current interior floor being composed of marble and limestone, none of which are colored black. Its current "black cube" appearance is due to its black and gold colored kiswah (pall) cloth covering that is replaced annually.

Here is the Kaabah without its kiswah cloth covering:

Historically, the current color scheme of the kiswah was not established with any permenance until the rule of the Abbasid Caliph Nasir in the 12 century CE. It has since become tradition. However, there is nothing religiously essential about any particular color scheme.

Finally, as has already been pointed out, Muslims do not worship the Kaabah. Rather, Muslims worship while facing the Kaabah. There is significant difference between the two.
