A lot of ice cream uses a little bit of vanilla extract which has 35% alcohol in it.

Does "khamar" mean alcohol or does it mean a substance that intoxicates you? If you drink regular drinking water for example, there will be trace amounts of alcohol in the water (there may even be a molecule or two of Lead for example--not significant, but it's there)--so how are you supposed to avoid alcohol?

Maybe the issue isn't "alcohol" but substances that intoxicate? So drinking water, while it has alcohol is not significant enough to intoxicate and so is okay to eat. Likewise, Ice cream which uses vanilla extract is not enough to intoxicate and so is okay to eat?

Let's start with:

[Quran 36:36] Exalted is He who created (in) pairs all things.

This is an example of the inferiority of the English translation compared to the original Arabic. This verse does not say "in" pairs all things. Rather, if you look at a word for word translation, it says "the pairs", not "in pairs". That is, Allah created "all the pairs" of the Earth.

[Quran 51:49] And of all things We created two pairs...

In Arabic, (مِنْْ) “min“ could mean "some of"

Definitions:  from, some, some of .

Some of, of. Indicating a segment of; a portion of. In other words, "Some of all things we created pairs" in essence: "a part of all things are made into pairs".

[Quran 13:3] and from all of the fruits He made therein two mates

Same thing as above. A part of all the fruits have in them pairs. In other words: of all the fruits, there are pairs within them (fi-ha). This could be referring to some of the fruits with seeds which are diploid (have two sets/pairs of chromosomes, from the male and female components of the plant)

Believe it or not, this verse is a significant MIRACLE. It is something, the prophet Muhammad could not have known! Let me explain. This verse uses the terminology "zawjayni ith'nayni"--which is weird terminology. Zawjayni means "two"/"pair" and Ith'nayin also means "two". That means 4 in total! (2 pairs)! What???! That doesn't make any sense?!! Actually it does:

Double fertilization: "The launch of seed development in flowering plants (angiosperms) is initiated by the process of double fertilization: two male gametes (sperm cells) fuse with two female gametes (egg and central cell) to form the precursor cells of the two major seed components, the embryo and endosperm, respectively." From: https://doi.org/10.3389/fpls.2014.00452

This is a peer reviewed scientific article, so cut the BS from those atheist websites that claim this Quranic verse is a contradiction because plants only have 1 sperm and 1 egg and that no plants have 2 pairs of sperm and eggs. WRONG THEY ARE!! Double fertilization happens in some fruits (not single fertilization, DOUBLE fertilization). I cannot believe the stupidity and ignorance of anti-muslim apologists and the BS they spew on their websites and forums!

Now, did 7th century Arabs have a concept of double fertilization? How did Muhammad (pbuh) know??
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It seems to be that Allah is appealing to 7th century Arabs' astonishment with duality/dualism of the world and is saying "you see that thing that you are astonished by?--Allah created it". Allah said this in such a way to appeal to 7th century Arabs' dispositions while not making it a contradiction for future generations. If Allah said "and everything that exists in the heaven and the Earth are made in pairs", that would be a clear scientific error, but notice how the Quran was careful to avoid this. It is only human interpretation that messes things up; It is only the English translators that mess things up.

Quran 78:7 And the mountains as pegs

I remember answering Islam and Wikiislam once had articles making fun of the Quran for saying this. Oh, how the tables have turned!  ;D

This is known as "Mountain Roots"

This is a .edu site:

http://geoscience.wisc.edu/~chuck/Classes/Mtn_and_Plates/mtn_roots.html#:~:text=The%20most%20important%20point%20is,of%20average%20crust%20and%20mantle.

"The most important point is that mountains have buoyant roots that extend downward into the mantle beneath a mountain range, and that the roots are, in general, about 5.6 times deeper than the height of the range.  This result reflects the difference between the densities of average crust and mantle."

5.6 times deeper! Doesn't that sound like a peg? A peg/stake has a small head and a long tail. The height of the mountain is the head of the peg, and the root of the mountain (which is 5.6x deeper!) is the tail of the peg!

Now how does an unlettered desert dwelling Arab see that the mountain is a peg? Did he have a SONAR ultrasound machine to measure the mountain root? Isn't it clear to him mountains go up and not down? So how did he know that mountains go down like a peg when to him it looks like it only goes up?

http://www.ocerints.org/socioint19_e-publication/abstracts/papers/277.pdf

This is a scientific article written by Muslims in Turkey (not the same as the .edu site above): "The mountain functions as a nail holding the earth together and this process is known as isostasy. This process of stabilizing the earth used the gravitational stress from the mountain to yield flow of rock material thus creating equilibrium"

Salamu-Alykum everyone here. I wanted to share with you this amazing discovery that Dr. Tarek Mustafa (I will link the video his team had created below).

[Quran 86:1] By the sky and the Tarriq
[Quran 86:2] And what can make you know what is the Tarriq
[Quran 86:3] It is the piercing star -
[Quran 86:4] There is no soul but that it has over it a protector.
[Quran 86:5] So ("fa") let man observe from what he was created.
[Quran 86:6] He was created from a fluid, ejected,
[Quran 86:7] Emerging from between the "backbone" and the "ribs".

Keep these verses above in mind. They are saying something extremely significant and to truly understand, you must understand the science and we will come back to these verses and the Arabic they use! Let's start with the video transcript:

Do you remember in school when we learned about the water cycle? How water evaporates then falls again as rain! But, there was always a lingering question in my mind. How did water first form on our planet in the first place? As the years passed, physicists have been able to answer this question. One in particular, Carl Sagan Asserted that water first arrived on our planet when stars first appears. Stars aren’t simply shiny things that twinkle in the night. Inside stars, a series of nuclear burning stages that transforms the star into an onion-like shell structure that produces heavier and heavier elements in various stages. Elements like silicone, neon, calcium, copper, chromium, carbon, oxygen. The list goes on and on, and this causes the star to expand more and more. The last element to be produced by the star, the one that sits in the very core of the star is iron, which makes the star resist any further compression and lose its ability to expand. The star then becomes a bloated ball of gas with a dense iron core slightly smaller than the size of planet Earth resting at the very center. No more energy can be produced by the iron core because iron doesn’t burn. This causes the star’s store of energy to become depleted. And it is this process that spells the end for the star. The end of a supermassive star results in an explosion: a supernova. After the star explodes in a supernova, it leaves behind its core as a remnant. The core of this remnant is more rigid than steel. This remnant is the densest star known to exist in the Universe. It’s called a neutron star or a pulsar. This pulsar is characterized by unique characteristics. Secondly, it punches holes in stellar disks ["piercing star"].

In NASA’s Chandra X-ray observatory, scientists have observed a pulsar punching a hole in a disk of gas or stellar disk around its companion star. They published this information along with an image of the pulsar on their website. In the form of stardust, supernova scatter the elements that surround the core of the star and that are made through nuclear fusion by the star out into the cosmos. And these are the same elements that make up other stars, planets and everything on Earth, including our bodies.

In her research work published in 2014, In astrophysics journal, Goranka Bilalbegović and her research team described exploding stars as cosmic cement mixers in order to explain the presence of building material in space. They recorded that when very massive stars die, they explode and litter space with a variety of elements. All the ingredients of cement have been found in such stellar remnants. Meaning that stardust is not just dust, it is cement like dust, which solidifies after being mixed with water. The oxygen synthesized in stars via nuclear reactions is dispersed with the stardust through the cosmos and combines for the first time with hydrogen to form water. And here lies the answer to the question I posed at the beginning. Where does water really come from? Water was formed and emerged for the first time from between the cement like dust and the remnant star core, which is more rigid than steel: the pulsar. Meaning that the dust grains that float through the solar system contain tiny pockets of water and water has been found trapped inside real stardust (ie. clay). Scientists believe that this stardust rained down continuously on young planet earth and brought with it the organic material needed for the eventual origins of life. The discovery of water in stardust suggests that the continuous stardust falls have acted as a continuous rainfall which brought water to our molten planet.

Now let's come back to the Quran:

[Quran 86:1] By the sky and the Tarriq
[Quran 86:2] And what can make you know what is the Tarriq
[Quran 86:3] It is the piercing star
[Quran 86:4] There is no soul but that it has over it a protector.
[Quran 86:5] So ("fa") let man observe from what he was created.
[Quran 86:6] He was created from a fluid, ejected,
[Quran 86:7] Emerging from between the "hard rigid substance" and the "dust".

The arabic is extremely important!

Quran 86:7 doesn't say "Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs.". The word translated as 'backbone' is "sulbi" which means a hard substance and the word translated as 'ribs' is "torab" which means dust (torab = dust--arabic speakers know this). The issue is the uneducated Arabs throughout history didn't have a concept of stardust and pulsars, so they used a translation that made sense to them. Now, we know they have been hasty with that translation/understanding. Check the lexicons for yourself and you'll see the truth in this.

But let's dig deeper into the verse: in 86:4 the piercing star (pulsar) is described as being our protector/savior/guarding. Indeed without it, we would not exist and without it we wouldn't have water to drink. But the Quran gets even more interesting! The very next verse uses the word "fa"--in Arabic, the word "fa" is a conjunction, it is referencing the verses before which were talking about the pulsar. So the Quran is saying that our origin (creation) has to do with the pulsar. And then the next verse adds to this-it says we were created from a fluid ejected from between the hard/rigid substance and dust. The hard rigid substance is the core of the pulsar (a teaspoon of this material weighs as much as mount everest), and the dust is the dust and other materials ejected from the star. We literally formed from those materials. All complex chemistry comes from star-dust and material--we are literally star dust!

It is important to recognize the word "fa" in Quran 86:5 which tells us that there is a connection with the verses after it and the verses before it talking about the piercing star! We originated from it!

The unwavering brilliance of Allah and the continued discoveries in the Quran never cease to amaze me.

Quran 3:7 says that some 'verses' ('Ayats') are ambiguous. But we have verses that have both ambiguous and unambiguous elements, for example:

[Quran 56:75] I swear by the setting of the stars

The "I swear" is clear, decisive and unambiguous. But "setting of the stars" is ambiguous, and we are not sure what exactly it is referring to. So this verse has both ambiguous and unambiguous elements, and the full message of the verse is saying that Allah is swearing by something very significant.

But, since this verse has both ambiguous and unambiguous elements (and this is only one example, many verses have the same thing going on), then why does Quran 3:7 says only 'Ayats' can be ambiguous and not parts of 'Ayats'?

Maybe Ayats doesn't mean "verses", maybe it means "signs" or something. And even a part of an Ayat is a sign. Any part of the Quran is an Ayat. The Quran is a miracle/sign for 7th century Arabs and the Quran even challenges them to try to write any part of the Quran--so maybe any part of the Quran (even part of a verse) is an "ayat" or a sign?

6
[Quran 53:45] And that He creates the two mates - the male and female -
[Quran 53:46] From a sperm-drop when it is emitted

Notice how the number of the verse is 46, which is the number of chromosomes humans have.

7
The Quran asserts that the universe in its current form has been created in 6 periods (note that the Arabic word for "days" (yom) also means "periods" or "eons").

[Quran 7:54] Indeed, your Lord is Allah , who created the heavens and earth in six days...

The Quran also asserts that the Earth in its current form has been in existence for 2 periods:

[Quran 41:9] Say, "Do you indeed disbelieve in He who created the earth in two days...

The Quran makes it clear elsewhere that the periods discussed refer to the periods of existence:

[Quran 50:38] And indeed we created the heavens and the earth and all between them in six days

When the Quran says that Allah created the Universe and the Earth and Everything in between them (including humans and all other things presently on Earth) in six days this means that the Quran is referring to the period of existence. That means that in the distant future, the Quran would say that Allah created the universe and the earth and all that is between them (what will become between them) in 7, or 8, or 9 periods and so on. In other words, this is similar to Carl Sagan's 12 month cosmic calendar.

At the time of the Quranic revelation (everything in between of the universe and earth), the universe has existed for 6 periods. And the Earth (which is contained in the universe) has existed for 2 periods out of the 6.  This makes the Earth to be 2/6th (1/3rd ) the age of the universe.

Modern cosmology estimates that the universe is 13.7 billion years old and that the Earth is 4.54 billion years old. 4.54/13.7 is roughly 1/3rd. So according to modern cosmology, the Earth should be roughly 1/3rd the age of the universe. This cosmological finding interestingly complements the Quran! Why did the Quran accurately say Earth was created in 2 periods? Why did it give the correct ratio? How did an unlettered prophet know such a thing?
--------------------------------------------------------------
Now, let's turn our attention into another set of verses:

[Quran 41:10] And He placed on the earth firmly set mountains over its surface, and He blessed it and determined therein its sustenance in four days without distinction - for [the information] of those who ask.

Notice how the Quran used the word "and" rather than "then". This means these two statements are not successive events, but just a description of what Allah did. The verse states that Allah determined Earth's sustenance in 4 days. This may refer to the determination of the length of time set to establish Earth's provision (materials that contribute to the formation of the Earth to be in the right location at the right time as Allah determined--this took 4 days). See picture below:

[Quran 41:11] Then He directed Himself to the heaven while it was smoke and said to it and to the earth, "Come, willingly or by compulsion." They said, "We have come willingly."

Now, the Quran uses the word "then" to indicate a successive event. That is: after Allah determined the provision of the Earth in 4 days, he made the Earth and the Heaven come together. This is also very interesting in its cosmological accuracy. The Earth formed through an accretion process whereby star dust (smoke) collapsed in itself due to the force of gravity which led to the birth of our planet.

Here is a video describing the process. Note the smoke/dust and the primitive Earth coming together just as the Quran described with stunning accuracy:

Let's say there is a website that has not been updated since 2013 and you are afraid it will come down and lose all of its post.

I want to save its posts and reupload them in case that happens--how do I download an entire website? Is there an app or program that can allow me to do so?

I've heard that Quran 2:79 is not really referring to the Jews, but the "ummi", the gentiles who write books, because the verse right before 2:78 is talking about people who don't know the book, writing the book.

Also the others say that the Quranic mensions of "distort the scripture" is "by their tongue". So they are not describing the written text being distorted, but the way they speak, they distort it.

If someone can show me that the context of this verse is referring to the Jews corrupting the scripture, that would be very helpful!  :)

If there is any new thing you could add, it would be helpful to me for native Arabic speakers like Osama to help prove that the Quran conclusively says the older scriptures were corrupted.

10
[Quran 54:1]: The Hour has come near, and the moon has split

Sura (Chapter) 54 of the Quran is THE ONLY chapter in the Quran titled “Al-Qamar” which means “The Moon”.

The form of the word "splitting" in arabic language when the Quran is describing this event can also be used as a form of ploughing the lands because there ARE other verses in the Quran using this "splitting" word, for example when the Quran describes rain waters "splitting" the ground )

And now If we are to count all the remaining verses right after this specific verse right all the way to the end of the Quran, we will count exactly 1389 too! The year 1389 Hijri in the Muslim calendar corresponds exactly to the year 1969 AD in the Gregorian calendar, the year in which man landed on the moon for the very first time and ploughed the moon's surface of about 22 kg of moon soil. On July 20, 1969 ( 6th day of the 5th month of 1389 Hijri ), as part of Apollo 11 mission, astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the Moon, and bring back to earth about 22 kg of moon soil.

It is very telling that the number of verses after the moon verse is exactly the year of the moon landing. This is quite interesting. July 1969 corresponds to the year 1389 (not 1390, don't make that mistake, the Hijri calendar is different, so the years are not 1:1, look it up for your own reference).

We should note that it is true that the Quran was NOT numbered at the time of the prophet. But the Quran is from God and God said that he would compile it. So the numbering of the Quran later than the prophet Muhammad was influenced by Allah who promised he would do it and preserve the Quran. So if the Quran is true, and Allah exists, wrote it and promised he would compile it, then he would compile the verses and their numbering in the Quran--which this evidence would indicate that indeed Allah did and that the numbering of the Quran after the prophet was indeed influenced if not caused by Allah by virtue of these miracles.

What are the odds there would be exactly 1389 verses after that moon verse? That verse could have been any number, but what are the odds it was exactly 1389, the year humans landed on the moon? It could've been 1390, 1391, 1400, 1500, 3000, any other number, but it was 1389--the year of the moon landing.

Lets read the following verses after (54:1) –
“The moon has split and the hour has drawn closer. Then they saw a great miracle; but they turned away and said, “Old magic.” They disbelieved, followed their opinions, and adhered to their old traditions.” (The Quran, from 54:1 to 54:3)
Here, the author of The Quran specifically states – “the moon has split”, then people will see “a great miracle”, yet they still “disbelieved”. Could the “great miracle” be the fulfillment of prophecy? The quran makes it clear that the moon has split when the hour has drawn closer--which is already hinting that this is a future event when the hour has come nearer.

(One of the signs of the Day of Judgement. The Arabic uses the past tense, as if that Day were already here, to help the reader/listener imagine how it will be. Some traditional commentators hold the view that this describes an actual event at the time of the Prophet, but it clearly refers to the end of the world: cf. the same expression with reference to the sky, 55: 37; 84: 1.)

But non-withstanding what that verse actually means, let's ignore what the verse means--what are the odds that the number of verses after the first verse of the only chapter titled the moon would be 1389--the exact year humans land on the moon. The chances of this are very low. It seems like 99.9999999+% chance that it could have been literally any other number, but why was it this significant number?? It could've been any number, but it was this one, the one number that has direct significance to the first Apollo mission...Why did the quran have the number of verses it does and not more/less, why was that chapter conveniently placed in a spot such that there was exactly 1389 verses after it? What are the odds, it could have been any number, any number of verses could have existed etc etc!

What are the odds that the number of verses after the first verse of the only chapter titled the moon would be 1389--the exact year humans land on the moon. It could've been any non-significant number, but the number it happened to be was the most significant number to humans that would ever reference the moon.

It has been stated in Answering Islam that "Although, as we shall discover later, the presence of the number 19 in the Quran as presented by Dr. Khalifa, is impressive". Obviously the Answering Islam article had non-numerical objections to it, but nevertheless, they assert there is a vast presence of the number 19 in the Quran.

I think the only solution is for me (and you) to study this and see whether such a code exists in the Quran.

It just seems rather odd that an anti-Islamic site that is meant to refute Islam testified to the truth of the Code 19 in the Quran...there must be something serious to it and requires serious study.

In this life, we judge others negatively (even by not speaking to them). We think about them, we call them names--we judge negatively.

I've know someone who was an atheist before he became a Muslim who found more comfort in atheism. This person had a mental illness known as social anxiety. Social anxiety is when you fear everyone's judgement of you and you are nervous in social situations. It is not something rational nor normal. The only cure for it is to go through cognitive behavioral therapy. The atheist was afraid of people judging him as pathetic because he gets too nervous and shaky in social situations. He is unable to find a girlfriend or mate because of his nervousness and he was unable to find a job.

The Atheist found it more comfortable to be an atheist than a Muslim and that is why it took him so long to become a submitter to Allah. As an atheist, he didn't care about anyone's judgement because he was able to tell himself: "The universe will cease to exist and all will be forgotten". This means that there is no reason to care about anyone's negative judgement of you in this life as everything will be forgotten. It was actually his psychologist who asked him of his faith and told him that on his belief system, negative judgement won't matter as everyone will turn to dust and bones and they will forget about you completely! The universe itself will die out.

The Atheist found that quote extremely comforting as he didn't care about anything in the world. He was simple, he lived his life. He realized that everyone's judgement doesn't matter and fear is irrational as everything will cease to exist one day.

But there was a dark thing going on in his heart. He was uncertain whether there is an afterlife. If there was an afterlife, then all WON'T be forgotten as everyone never really dies. He was on the verge of accepting Islam but he couldn't because it would bring his social anxiety back.

His logic is that since everyone will be resurrected, then people won't forget about his negative judgement and he will be remembered forever. People will remember how pathetic he was in this life forever. So he can't find Islam comfortable and it pushes him away from Islam.

This is a really big problem that I think we should address in this research center. We should prove that in the Quran, paradise will be a place where everyone will forget about your life in the temporary world and won't care except for your religious deeds.

We all know that NOTHING in this world matters besides your relationship with Allah and your deeds. We all know that your wealth, your relationships, your life besides your religious deeds will be forgotten.

I think it would be beneficial to write something explaining to him that all will be forgotten in Islam just like atheism, but except your deeds towards Allah. And also it would be beneficial to describe paradise to him and how there will not be any negative judgement therein.

we had an existence at some location (or in some state) prior to our 'physical' birth. (Our physiological state is different from our spiritual state (nafs)). We took a primordial covenant with God at some point before our physical birth (7:172, see also 33:72). This is where our 'innate' belief of some kind of Creator comes from (our 'fitrah'). We also find a reminder of this in verse 57:8. Then we were put to sleep (1st death). We were then given life in our physical state (1st life). We will then be tested in our lives where God will show us His signs in multifaceted forms. We will not be left without purpose (75:36). We will then pass away, 29:57 (2nd death). On the day of resurrection (on the second 'calling' 39:68, 79:6-7) we will be brought back to life (2nd life).

As you can see there are two 'deaths' and two 'lifes'. This understanding also finds some support from the following verse:

040:011
"They say: Our Lord! Twice have You made us die, and twice have You made us live. Now we confess our sins. Is there any way to go out?"

Here is an inspirational video about this subject matter:

One of the biggest arguments for Quran only Islam is the fact that it has been made plain in the Quran that it's verses are the only verses to be believed in:

[Quran 45:6] These are the verses of Allah which We recite to you in truth. Then in what statement after Allah and His verses will they believe?

If I write a book and say "These are my sentences which I write to you, do not believe in anything besides my sentences", then I would be CLEAR that the sentences in MY book are the only things to be followed. The above verse uses the word "these" meaning these Quranic verses are the only statement pertaining to Islam that we could believe!

Now sunni and shia muslims say, "oh, when Allah says that these Quranic verses are all that we can believe in, he does not really mean that these are the only verses we can believe in". Well then, let me ask you this. If you were Allah and you wanted to make it clearer that the Quran;s verses are all that we could follow, how would you write this verse differently? How would you better say that these verses are all that we could believe in?

Now that (above) is the strongest argument for Quran-Only Islam! It has been made plain, you cannot hide behind the fact that the Quran makes it clear that you will only follow the verses that are in the Quran.

Now the second strongest argument for Quran-only Islam is that Allah has not mentioned in the Quran the sunnah when he could have. Here is the perfect verse to talk about the sunnah:

Say (O Muhammad), "What is the greatest testimony?" Say, "God is witness between me and you that this Quran has been inspired to me to warn you with it and whomever it reaches." 6:19

This testimony which God describes as "Akbar Shahada" (the Greatest Testimony) commands Muhammad to testify that He received the Quran from God. This testimony speaks of only one revelation received by Muhammad from God which is the Quran. If Muhammad truly received other revelations from God (other than the Quran), would we not find any mention of it in the Quran? Would God hide the fact that He gave Muhammad a revelation independent of the Quran and then command us to obey it?

Wouldn't this verse be the perfect place to mention the other alleged revelation that Muhammad received for mankind?

In the next post, I will post MANY verses that are great places for Allah to even mention the sunnah or at least hint at it.
