Title: SELAH!
Post by: Qualities of Allah on March 21, 2021, 03:47:25 PM
Salamun Alaykum Brother Osama,
I looked at your update today and you have written that Selah in the Book of Habakkuk means the city of Saleh. But Selah does not mean that. Selah is mentioned all over the Psalms and Book of Habakkuk. It is commonly thought to mean a musical direction.

Dictionary entry: " (in the Bible) occurring frequently at the end of a verse in Psalms and Habakkuk, probably as a musical direction."

An example of selah that is not used in Habakkuk 3:3 is Psalms 46:4, "Though the waters thereof roar and foam, though the mountains shake at the swelling thereof. Selah"

This shows that selah is not referring to the city of Saleh but is most likely just a musical direction.

Also you said that Sela in Isaiah 42 refers to the city of Saleh.
Instead of it meaning the city of Saleh, I think it is referring to Mount Sela in Madina. Maybe you should investigate a little bit more.

Akhi, you updated tHe articles by adding Mount Sela. But, you did not remove the thing you said about Selah in the Book of Habakkuk meaning the city of Saleh. Selah in the Book of Habakkuk is merely a musical direction and is not referring to anything. The place that is actually referring to Mount Sela or city of Saleh is in Isaiah 42.

You have to remove the words in bold in your article: "3 God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah (Arabian desert of  Selah in Isaiah 42:11 and MOUNT SELA in Medina thoroughly discussed below)."

This is because as I said, Selah in Habakkuk 3:3 is not referring to the city of Saleh but is only a musical direction.

Wait, dont misundertand me. I believe that Paran and Teman is the region of Arabia in the Book of Habakkuk and that Habakkuk 3:3 is referring to Prophet Muhammad. Im just saying that only the "Selah" part in the Book of Habakkuk is not referring to anything; it is just a musical direction. The place that is actually referring to Mount Sela or city of Salah is Isaiah 42.

Nope.  The Christians lie when they say that it is referring to musical blah blah blah.  It is a geographical site and it is the same as the one in Isaiah 42:11.  The inhabitants of Selah the verse says.  Their interpretation is wrong about it being musical in other verses.

Anyway, in any rate, Sela was proven to be in Arabia.

Then how about Psalms 46:4?
Quote
"Though the waters thereof roar and foam, though the mountains shake at the swelling thereof. Selah"

What is Selah referring to here? It cant be referring to Mount Sela or city of Saleh, right?

Isaiah 42:11 speaks about the inhabitants of Selah.  And it's thoroughly proven to be in Arabia.  The verse you quoted is talking to Selah.  It's like the comma and then the person's name in English.  Or the "O" and the name.  So imagine this:

Though the waters thereof roar and foam, though the mountains shake at the swelling thereof, O Osama.

Though the waters thereof roar and foam, though the mountains shake at the swelling thereof, Osama

Though the waters thereof roar and foam, though the mountains shake at the swelling thereof, O Canada.

Though the waters thereof roar and foam, though the mountains shake at the swelling thereof, USA.

Though the waters thereof roar and foam, though the mountains shake at the swelling thereof, Russia.

Though the waters thereof roar and foam, though the mountains shake at the swelling thereof, China.

Yeah i get its a place in the Book of Habakkuk. So you mean that Selah is referring to the people residing in Saleh?

I used my name and some countries to show you that SELAH is a name of a geographic place in Arabia.  The English translation is garbage.  They put period (.) before Selah and after it.  Confusing the reader.

Both.  Isaiah 42:11 is directly speaking about the people of Selah.  The other verses are speaking about the place of Selah.  All verses are speaking about the geography and the people.

Ok interesting. That would basically mean that Psalms talks to the Arabs in Saleh a lot.

Surprise surprise, Job who was the perfect and upright Servant of GOD Almighty (as the OT calls him) was a millionaire Arab who lived in Arabia.

Surprise surprise, the Palestinian woman that asked Jesus to heal her daughter, she was called a woman of "great faith" by Jesus.  Not a single Jew was ever said to have "great faith" during Jesus' days.  And their OT calls them liars in their essence:

I will update the website about these new points, insha'Allah.  Jazaka Allah Khayr, brother.

Ok. Also this just opened a lot of investigation. The Psalms are probably talking about the Arabs a lot. Maybe you should read them and see if David talked about the Arabs.

Also, their Bible is inspired by the "Lying spirits" that GOD Almighty sends to false people in the OT.  Many of the JEws' storeis are lies.  LIke Rebecca and the goat skin story and how she lied to Isaac who was blind to have him touch Jacob:

These stories, if true, were inspired by the lying spirits.  The Jews and their stories are marred and soaked with lies.
