The Prophet's Letter to Oman and Abu Bakr
« on: March 22, 2021, 12:02:04 PM »
Assalamu Alaykum,
Brother, why did Abu Bakr conquer Iran? Didnt he force his religion on them? Also why is the Prophet's letter to Oman threatening?

"“In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. From Mohammed, the messenger of Allah, to Jaifar and Abd, sons of Al Julanda. Peace is upon him who follows the guidance. I am calling both of you, in the name of Islam. You will be safe if you submit to Islam.

I am the Messenger of Allah to all people warn all living that Islam will prevail. I hope you will accept Islam, but if you do not, then you will lose your country, and my horsemen will invade your territory and my prophecy will dominate your country”."

I don't think the letter is genuine.  What is the Islamic source for this quotation?

Also, the Persians were invading Arab lands and enslaving its people.  Plus, Allah Almighty commanded the Muslims to spread Islam.  So Islam was spread.  What is your objection here?  It's not like the pagans were all about peace.  Bringing GOD Almighty's Divine Truth and Mercy and Justice to mankind sometimes has to come through war.

Take care,
Osama

Once again, where is the Islamic URL for the letter above?  And who cares really?  If Allah Almighty Commanded the Prophet and the Muslims to bring Islam to Persia, then who are the infidels to object?

None of this disproves Islam.  Only noise and nonsense to divert the people from seeing Islam for what it is:  GOD Almighty's Divine Truth, Mercy and Justice sent to mankind.

The Abu Bakr and Persian thing is cleared up. But, for the letter, what do you mean by Islamic Url? You mean an Islamic website that talks about the letter? If thats what you mean, here is a website that talks about the letter:

....Now I was searching for the prophet's letter to Oman and I found another article that says the letter of Oman is fake and even if it was real it doesn't say that they will have to convert by force but is just a prophecy. Here is the link that says the letter is fake (by the way, its a rebuttal to an anti-islamic article): https://controversialislam.wordpress.com/omanis-conve rted-by-force/

Anyways, here is the website that says the letter is real even though I don't need an answer any more because my questions are cleared up:https://www.google.com/amp/s/foroneislam.wordpress.com/2009/03/29/prophet-mohammeds-letter-to-the-people-of-oman/amp/

One problem. Just thought of something. If the prophet was illiterate, how could he write letters? Did he have scribes write it for him?

The Prophet, peace be upon him, had several scribes.
