The only reason they are still here is because they are like puppies. Theyll do what (some) atheists tell them sych as forcing gay marriage and trying to get women priests. People started smashing the church over the latter. People blame and ridicule religion because its 'intolerant' and 'forces its beliefs down peoples throats' but isnt forcing a religion to change its scripture because you dont like it coersion aswell?

Richard Dawkins sucks. He thinks India is Muslim majority (it's Hindu btw, and by a large amount), he doesn't know about surface tension (separation of the seas), and thinks mountains have no purpose. When all points had been thoroughly refuted, he stopped picking on the Qur'an and starting mocking the bible instead.

There's nothing wrong in loving the Prophet of Allah (may Almighty Allah bless him and his family and grant them peace). On the contrary, he (SAW) said that your faith will be complete when you love him (SAW) more than all other people. The innovation is to make these occasions, even if thry were religious gatherings. Prophet Muhammad's (may Almighty Allah bless him and his family and grant them peace) family and friends loved him more than any of us and all of us do, but they did such absurd things to prove their love to him. Of course, nobody's saying it's wrong to send your prayers on him in abundance that day, but the thing is many people make occasions like gatherings to read the Glorious Qur'an and what not. Yes, it might be a good thing to do, but it is a Bid`a (innovation) and we must keep away from them as much as possible.
You see brother, when people switch the perfect teachings of Islam that were ordained by Almighty Allah and His Noble Messengers (may Almighty Allah bless them and grant them peace) by their own ideas, you cannot legitimately call them Muslims. Islam (nowadays regarded as Sunni Islam) is the perfect, unchanged form of Islam.

Correction: True Islam is the Qur'an and cherry-picked hadith. I know it sounds rude but it's true.

As-Salamu `Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,
It is an innovation in religion and every innovation, as the Holy Prophet of Allah (may Almigthy Allah bless him and his family and grant them peace) said, is rejected by Muslims and is in Hell. That's why Sunni's detest sects like Shiism, Sufiism, etc.

I don't see anything wrong about showing love for the prophet. As for detesting sects, that's another problem: dividing of Muslims.

GENERAL TOPICS | BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS / Why Christianity is popular
« on: January 16, 2013, 07:24:10 AM »
Christianity is only popular because it was decreed by Theodosius in the 4th century to be the only legal cult of the empire - under penalty of death.

HOWEVER:

Today we all have freedom to practice our religions. Islam is growing faster than ever. After 9/11, people grew curious about Islam, and gained a 2.6% conversion boost! Now, Islam is the fastest growing religion, and will overtake Christianity by 2025! Sunni Islam is currently the largest single religious denomination, while Islam is the third largest religious group! What a miracle for a religion that spread by peace!

What is even more bad news for Christians is, several Christians are leaving Christianity due to the bible's absurdities daily, and becoming irreligious or Atheists! Yet Atheists are converting to Islam daily!

    "Osiris, the Egyptian Saviour, was crucified in the heavens. To the Egyptian the cross was the symbol of immortality, an emblem of the Sun, and the god himself was crucified to the tree, which denoted his fructifying power.

    "Horus was also crucified in the heavens. He was represented, like...Christ Jesus, with outstretched arms in the vault of heaven."

    Thomas W. Doane, Bible Myths and Their Parallels in Other Religions (484)

The name Jesus comes from a combination of Isa and Zeus, Zeus was the Greek supreme God. Zeus had a son, he sent his son and got him sacrificed: Heracles.
This was not the first time, or the only time, this myth of a demigod (son of God) or crucifixion was reproduced:
Krishna
Buddha
Horus
Zoroaster
Mithras
Attis
Dionysus-Bacchus
Some sources say Odin also sacrificed himself on the Tree of life, though this is disputed
...and many more!
Son of God - Baal, Dionysos, Hermes, Horus, Krishna (not a son, but an incarnation of God), Osiris
Talking snake - Harry Potter (JUST KIDDING!)
Ascended/Descended - Adonis (before death), Baal, Dionysos, Hermes, Krishna, Mithras, Orpheus, Osiris, Tammuz
A savior - Dionysos, Mithras
Performed miracles? - Dionysos (the wine trick of Jesus), Hermes, Horus (healing), Krishna
Meal of Bread/Wine - Dionysos, Mithras
Crucifixion - Dionysos (impregnated by God), Odin (tree), Horus, Mithras, Osiris
Resurrection - Baal (disputed), Dionysos, Krishna, Osiris (Scholars disagree), Tammuz (debated)

See for yourself!

Parallels between Christian Jesus and pagan myths:

    Born on December 25;
    Stars appeared at their births;
    visited by Magi from the east;
    turned water into wine;
    healed the sick;
    cast out demons;
    performed miracles;
    transfigured before followers;
    rode donkeys into the city;
    betrayed for 30 pieces of silver;
    celebrated communal meal with bread and wine;
    which represented the savior's flesh and blood;
    killed on a cross or tree;
    descended into hell;
    resurrected on third day;
    ascended into heaven;
    to forever sit beside Father God and become Divine Judge.

Who here celebrates Mawlid?
It is completely wrong to celebrate it. I will update this later, maybe tomorrow, anyway who celebrates it?

How do we know what's right and what's wrong?

187
As'salamu Alaikum Everyone,

She didn't even get to have a lawyer to defend her:  http://www.cnn.com/2013/01/13/world/meast/saudi-arabia-beheading/index.html?hpt=wo_c2

And even if she was guilty (which we don't know that, and we'll never know that), the way her trial went was completely unjust and proposterous!

What toilet do they live in over there??  And who the hell do they think they are??  I heard so much about the Gulf and the Middle Eastern countries in general, but never to that low level.  Their days are coming.  They'll pay for all of their evil and their injustices.  And most importantly, they'll suffer severely for letting the beautiful and Divine Religion of Islam down.  Isn't the Glorious Quran filled with Noble Verses such as the following:

"O ye who believe! stand out firmly for God, as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just: that is next to piety: and fear God. For God is well-acquainted with all that ye do. (The Noble Quran, 5:8 )"

"God does not forbid you from showing kindness and dealing justly with those who have not fought you about religion and have not driven you out of your homes. God loves just dealers. (The Noble Quran, 60:8 )"

".....Help ye one another in righteousness and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancour: fear God: for God is strict in punishment. (The Noble Quran, 5:2)"

"God doth command you to render back your Trusts to those to whom they are due; And when ye judge between man and man, that ye judge with justice: Verily how excellent is the teaching which He giveth you! For God is He Who heareth and seeth all things. (The Noble Quran, 4:58)"

"O ye who believe! stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to God, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for God can best protect both..... (The Noble Quran, 4:135)"

Woe to them!!  Their days are coming!  Their doom is coming!

Osama Abdallah

Reminds me of how the Catholic church would behead anyone who suggested the Earth wasn't flat. Now it's the opposite. Moslems are doing the beheading, and the Catholics are the tolerant ones.

Did you Know? (Scientific Facts) / Comparison of Muslims to the West
« on: January 15, 2013, 10:46:25 AM »
The Qur'an and hadith very accurately stated, that we must wash our hands and maintain personal hygiene. However, in the West, prior to Germ theory, people believed you only got sick due to bad air. For toilets, they would go and poop in a bucket and have a slave throw it out the window, sometimes it would fall on someone's head: someone who was walking outside. The river Thames, today the cleanest river, used to be brown because of all the poo in it! They did not start washing hands until the 19th century! They did not start brushing their teeth until the end of the 17th century, whereas Muslims started Sewak.
An idea of a spherical Earth was introduced in the 6th century (BC). However, the Christians burned any books that said the Earth was flat, or that the Sun was at the center of the universe, because it was blasphemy to them. However, at the same time, Muslims were prospering in a Golden age of science and medicine.

Are you "former atheist" ?

Deism means belief in a God without a religion

In islam, this is the development of the embryo.
Narrated `Abdullah bin Mus'ud:
Allah's Messenger (), the true and truly inspired said, "(The matter of the Creation of) a human being is put together in the womb of the mother in forty days, and then he becomes a clot of thick blood for a similar period, and then a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then Allah sends an angel who is ordered to write four things. He is ordered to write down his (i.e. the new creature's) deeds, his livelihood, his (date of) death, and whether he will be blessed or wretched (in religion). Then the soul is breathed into him. So, a man amongst you may do (good deeds till there is only a cubit between him and Paradise and then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing (evil) deeds characteristic of the people of the (Hell) Fire. And similarly a man amongst you may do (evil) deeds till there is only a cubit between him and the (Hell) Fire, and then what has been written for him decides his behavior, and he starts doing deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise."

In-book reference    : Book 59, Hadith 19

is this true, is there any proof of it?
links?

Also i heard that according to islam, sperm generates at the spine, but this is not is this true fact, is their any proof?
From a debate, Osama Abdullah said this is because if the spine is damaged, you cannot have kids, so there is a connection. however, we should also note that there IS a connection because the spine is part of the nervous system so by that logic, serm scould generate at the neck or brain.
Someone please explain

It says backbone, not spine. It's just a misinterpretation. The word has got different meanings.

"Allah" is NOT a name, God doesn't have a personal name, his 99 names describe him.
Allah is a contraction between "al" (the) and "ilah" (God)
al-ilah doesnt cut it since it means "the god", your are refereeing to one of many gods.
Allah mean "the God", the capital G infers the oneness of the creator, so it is a way of saying "the one and only God".
Allah is the Arabic way of refering to a monotheistic God. Arab Christians and Jews refer to God as Allah when they speak Arabic because they are monotheistic. If we talk in another language, we (arabs) say God, not Allah because we are talking in a different language.
Allah is the arabic way to say God (in a monotheistic religion)
No. Allah is arabic for God, it sort of means Supreme God.
Allah is not a contraction between al and ilah, it doesn't work like that lol.
The capital G? The capital G doesn't mean anything lmao. Capitals don't exist in the arabic language.
Arab Christians are monothiestic? Lol okay then.

It'd be weird going "Alilah"
