Who was the sacrificed son? Isaac or Ishmael? What Islam says about EL for GOD?

As'salamu Alaikum dear brothers and sisters in Islam,

Who was the sacrificed son?  Isaac or Ishmael?  And in Islam there is no "El" in names as in Ishmael?  Is the GOD of Islam different?
