Title: Quran 21:30 as big bang says the earth was created with heaven?
Post by: ahmed91 on July 14, 2014, 05:09:31 PM
salam alikum brothers and sister
Quran 21:30:
Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?

as you can see the verse says the earth and heavens was created together and not that the earth was created 9 billion years later as science says can some one response to this?

thank you

Wa 'likom salaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh
In the big bang, as the noble verse say, all was together, therefore the heavens and the earth were together. The verse does not establish temporal order.

the creation of the earth itself came before the creation of the heavens, and then came the spreading of the earth with its mountains, trees and so on, after the creation of the heavens. https://islamqa.info/en/70217
but heavenly bodies was created before earth.
Then He Istawa (rose over) towards the heaven when it was smoke, and said to it and to the earth: ‘Come both of you willingly or unwillingly.’ They both said: ‘We come, willingly’”

[Fussilat 41:9-11].

The earth (plural without the S) and the Heaven were once one piece and were then cleft asunder.  These salafies speak from their behinds, as always.  There is no mentioning in the Glorious Quran that the earth was created first.  They're spewing conjecture at best.  But of course, Muslims are expected to hear and obey the braying donkeys.

I've proven from the Glorious Quran that earth is both singular and plural.  Please visit:
