Can all people be Muslim?
« on: May 23, 2018, 08:14:50 PM »
Hello there, I wonder if it's possible for all people to be Muslims,  or does the contradict the fact that the majority of people are infidels according to the holy Quran?

As'salamu Alaikum dear brother,

Great question.  In principle and in theory, everyone should be and could be a Muslim:

www.answering-christianity.com/islam.htm

However, Allah Almighty also promised that He will fill Hell with the infidels:

[007:018]  He said: Get out of this (state), despised, driven away; whoever of them will follow you, I will certainly fill hell with you all.

[011:119]  Except those on whom your Lord has mercy; and for this did He create them; and the word of your Lord is fulfilled: Certainly I will fill hell with the jinn and the men, all together.

[032:013]  And if We had pleased We would certainly have given to every soul its guidance, but the word (which had gone forth) from Me was just: I will certainly fill hell with the jinn and men together.

[038:085]  That I will most certainly fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all.

This brings the question are we pre-destined to either Hell or Heaven?  Or do we surely have full control over our Wills?  This reminds me of the Bible's story of king David, and how GOD Almighty promised him that He will turn his wives into prostitutes as a punishment for him (David):

www.answering-christianity.com/was_muta_immoral.htm

I mean did these women have control over being turned by GOD Almighty into prostitutes?  Did they have any power to reverse it?

While Islam declares that our destiny is not pre-determined, but Allah Almighty also, at the same time, Has full control over everything, so does Islam also declare.  This is one of the topics that are pretty much impossible to get to the bottom of:

www.answering-christianity.com/hell_destiny.htm
www.answering-christianity.com/ac2.htm#links

Allah Almighty is the GOD and Controller of everything, akhi.  I personally limit my thoughts to this.  I do not go beyond this.  I do not dwell into questions like how can GOD Almighty not have a beginning, for example.  Or do we have control over our destinies?  I leave it to Allah Almighty.

Zero Knowledge:

I have zero knowledge of where and how I existed before my mother got pregnant with me.  So the earthly and finite logic of the atheists doesn't work with GOD Almighty.  Indeed, as Allah Almighty told us:

"They ask thee concerning the Spirit (of inspiration). Say: "The Spirit (cometh) by command of my Lord: of knowledge it is only a little that is communicated to you, (O men!)"  (The Noble Quran, 17:85)"

I hope this helps, Insha'Allah.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

But the Quran says that و ما اكثر الناس و لو حرصت بمؤمنين so this means that all people can't be Muslims,  or what?

مؤمنين means Believers, not Muslims.  A Believer is higher than a Muslim:

[049:014]  The Arabs said, "We are Mu'mens (believers)." Say, "You have not believed; what you should say is, `We are Muslims (submitters),' until belief is established in your hearts." If you obey GOD and His messenger, He will not put any of your works to waste. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

Like I said brother, in theory and principle, everyone is expected and can be a Muslim.  But again, this is a topic that is well beyond our earthly logic as I explained above.

I hope this helps, Insha'Allah.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

It is possible if the prolonged existence of Satan was not granted.

Quote
Satan appealed, “My Lord! Then delay my end until the Day of their resurrection. (15:36)
