Assalamu alaykum dear bros and sisters. Hope you're having an amazing day.
I had a question regarding the ascension of the prophet into the heavens. Ive read or heard somewhere that the Prophet spoke to Allah Almighty but in between them was a veil of light. So Im not asking if he saw Allah but did he speak to Him? Is there evidence in the hadith that suggests this and what is the opinion of the scholars regarding the topic?

There are 2 interpretation of Mi'raj of the prophet.
First only his soul ascends above.
Second being both soul and physical body ascend above. Most would go for the second opinion of Mi'raj.
