Title: Who built the Ka'aba?
Post by: MuslimMan123 on January 09, 2017, 05:39:06 AM
Assalamu Alaykum everyone. Peace be with you.
So we all know the story of Ishmael PBUH and his Mother, and how she went 7 times around the place we now today call Ka'aba, and how water sprung below Ishmael's PBUH feet etc. But now I have a question. Who built Ka'aba, was it Adam or Abraham (Along with his son), peace be upon them all. I've heard people say Abraham REBUILT it, so the thesis that Adam built it is most believeable. But now, if the Ka'aba was built by Adam, why then were Ishmael PBUH and his mother wandering around in a deserted place where they couldn't even find water? How do you bros explain this? Or is there a mistake with how I've understood the entire story.

Once again, Assalamu alaykum!

there are those who view it first built by prophet Adam a.s and some by prophet Ibrahim a.s. The first place of prostration on earth is to imitate the Baitul Makmur of the angels.
Some view even suggest the angels were the ones that built the structure first.
