Title: Did Muhammad disobey the quram

A certain hadoth has confused me "When ever Allah's Apostle wanted to fondle any of his wives during the periods (menses), he used to ask her to wear an Izar." Bukhari volume 1:300
But the Quran prohibits sex when a woman is on her peroid

If a hadith contradicts,it just means the certain hadith is unauthentic it does not mean the whole of hadith is false.
