Title: Evolution
Post by: Monys on November 18, 2016, 05:23:50 PM
Assalyum alekum
I hate it when something shakes my faith in Islam
Indeed Islam is not compatible with evolution
But evolution is being teached in the Biggest Universities
Many scientists believe in Evolution
Creationist scientists are rare
there is too Many biology books That stand on Evolution
Evolution is a part of science
Denying Evolution is an Impossible thing
If Evolution is true will that have an Impact on Islam?

Wa Alaikum As'salam dear brother,

Evolution is for the ignorant.  We did not come from fish and monkeys, nor did mankind explode in numbers by having Adam and Eve's (peace be upon them) children marry each others, and their children marry each others and so on.

There is strong evidence from the Glorious Quran that suggests that we were cloned from Adam's back, peace be upon him.  Please visit:

We were never animals.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

I was in your place. People often get mixed up between Darwinism and Evolution.

To say that humans evolve over time is no problem at all.

However, the notion of a fish turning into an amphibian to a monkey-ape then human is not what evolution is about. That's Darwinism. It is VERY easy to get lost in translation.

In terms of Islam, there's no problem saying that humans evolved over time unless it is with the exception of Adam.

(as for the science books, at one point they all stated that the sun doesn't orbit).

So to make the claim that Islam rejects Evolution is not really accurate, it rejects Darwinism. Certain sheikh's who say otherwise clearly cannot distinguish between the two. According to Gould, evolution is not a straight chain but like a branch of common ancestors.

Hope this helps. :)

In addition, a creationist according to Western Context are like those of the N.E.C who believe the Earth is 10,000 years old... hence obviously why no one would stand by them and only ridicule them. They reject all the records in regards to the age of the earth and such.

We obviously differ from that greatly.

Cheer up ;)

The scientific evolution isn't Neo-Darwinism  ('Evolution theory').
The scientific evolution: is defined as 'change over time', or 'the change of allele frequencies of a population over time'. Islam has no problem with the "change" concept.

As'salamu Alaikum dear brothers,

Yes indeed, we used to be bigger and kept getting smaller and smaller:

Mankind's body kept on changing.  To the Muslims reading, I would be careful though to use the word "Evolve" or "evolution", because it would imply that he came from animals.  I would qualify it, and brothers Ramihs97 and Sama did that.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah
