I had a quick question with regards to cousin niece marriages. I find it to be quite weird to marry members of your own family and your cousins and nieces, also this has been scientifically proven to be harmful, why would islam then allow this if it js a weird marriage between families and can cause harmful babies.

Assalamu alaikum,

I was wondering if you guys could help me with a doubt/question i had.

I saw this video of david wood and i didnt really know an answer. I obviously wont post the link as it isnt allowed but basically what he does is show a video of a pshychologist saying with the research done it shows men and women are of the same intellect and that the men arent smarter. However we have multiple ahadith claiming that women hsve a deficiency in the mind and intellect, however this would then be incorrect with the evidence we have.

Also could you help me answer his series which he made in december called paul vs muhammad. They are 25 short videos in which he tries to disprove the prophethood of muhammad saws and affirm the apostlehood of paul.

If you guys could help me with those 2 points that would be great

Jazakallah khair.

how do we respond to people that the black stone was set into there by the jahiliyyah and did not come from the heaven at all as there is no proof of it coming from heaven but they do have proof that they used to worship stones and do tawaf around them

bukhari 4376: We used to worship stones, and when we found a better stone than the first one, we would throw the first one and take the latter, but if we could not get a stone then we would collect some earth (i.e. soil) and then bring a sheep and milk that sheep over it, and perform the Tawaf around it. When the month of Rajab came, we used (to stop the military actions), calling this month the iron remover, for we used to remove and throw away the iron parts of every spear and arrow in the month of Rajab. Abu Raja' added: When the Prophet (ﷺ) sent with (Allah's) Message, I was a boy working as a shepherd of my family camels. When we heard the news about the appearance of the Prophet, we ran to the fire, i.e. to Musailima al-Kadhdhab.

so how do we respond to people that say muhammad stole their stone and rituals of tawaf made them his own and made a legend about it by proof of this hadith they used to take rocks and to tawaf with them

1. Bacteria are living things are they made from wate r
2. Angels were made from light so how were they made by water
3. Jinn were made by smokeless fire so what does water mean in this case.

a christian made the following claim i will copy and paste how do we answer:

quran 6:101 says: [He is] Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a son when He does not have a companion (wife) and He created all things? And He is, of all things, Knowing.

why is allah here saying that he needs a wife to have a son, allah is almighty why does he need a wife to have a son, doesnt this go against his almightyness? also cant allah say be and it is to have a son . why then does he need a wife to have a son.

also christians believe god has a son but he does not have a wife, how then does the quran say that god cant have a son without a wife

also allah says in this verse: HOW CAN HE or HOW COULD HE. if someone says HOW CAN HE. it seems to say that god cannot do something and if god cannot do something this seems to say god cannot do anything, when in the quran allah says allah can do everything.

if allah is almighthy why then does he say: how can he have a son, holw can he applies to non divine people who cant do all, but someone who can do all is supposed to be able to have a son without a wifew by saying be and it is.

it seems as if allah is making himself into a human in this verse because he is sayig he needs a wife to have a son, this is what humans do, humans need a wife or a consort to have a on, but an almigthy god doesnt need that. but allah is here saying he needs a wife to have a son, like a human being. why is allah making himself to the level of a human here and why is allah not able to have a son by saying be and it is nor through his almigthyness

please help me answer him jazakallah khair

Bukhari 2: O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! How is the Divine Inspiration revealed to you?" Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) replied, "Sometimes it is (revealed) like the ringing of a bell,

Muslim 2114: The bell is the musical instrument of the Satan.

Both of these ahadith are sahih found in the sahihayn and mentioned multiple times.

So one hadith says the bell is from the fevil the next says muhammad saws received revelation in the form of a bell  how do we reconcile these

GENERAL TOPICS | BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS / Refuting quran 4:3 error help
« on: September 26, 2017, 11:43:27 AM »
A christian claims this is an error in the quran i found out he copied it from wikiislam but s till how do we answer

Transliteration: "fainkihoo ma taba lakum mina alnnisa-i mathna wathulatha warubaAAa"
Yusuf Ali: .. marry women of your choice, Two or three or four;..
Pickthal: .. marry of the women, who seem good to you, two or three or four;
Shakir: .. marry such women as seem good to you, two and three and four;
Transliteration and Translation of Quran 4:3
Yusuf Ali and Pikthal are both using "or". Shakir is using "and".
The Arabic version is using "and" (the transliteration of 4:3 is using the conjuntive symbol wa (and)).
Thus this verse is telling men that they can marry two and three and four women. The total happens to be nine women, whereas Islamic law allows maximum four.
A grammatically correct verse should be using the disjunctive symbol aw (or); "Marry two or three or four."
If one were to re-write 4:3 and correct the logic mistake, then the Qur'anic challenge to write a 'better verse' would be met.

assalamu alaikum,

i  have a question on the things christian pose on mary being a part of the trinity. i always brushed it aside but lately i looked into it and had some issues with it. (i have checked links of answering christianity but havent found an answer to my questions)

1. firstly why does the quran never say the christians worship the holy spirit, it always says they worship jesus and mary, but never the holy spirit who is one of the persons in their trinity.

2. why have big scholars of islam said that the quran says the trinity consists of father jesus and mary

examples: Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

With regard to what the Qur’an says about what the Christians said, “Allah is the third of the three (in a Trinity)”, the commentators said that it refers to Allah, the Messiah and his mother, as Allah, may He be exalted, tells us that He will say (interpretation of the meaning): “‘O 'Eesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: “Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allah?”’” [al-Maa’idah 5:116]. Hence in the context of this passage He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“The Messiah ['Eesa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary), was no more than a Messenger; many were the Messengers that passed away before him. His mother [Maryam (Mary)] was a Siddeeqah [i.e. she believed in the words of Allah and His Books]”

[al-Maa’idah 5:75].

The most that the Messiah can be is a Messenger, and the most that his mother can be is a siddeeqah; they could never reach the level of divinity. The one proves the other (that is, the fact that they are no more than that is proof that the Messiah is not God), and this is quite clear. End quote.

Majmoo‘ al-Fataawa (2/444).

ibn kathir states they believed jesus and mary were gods, Ibn Katheer (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

The words “They both used to eat food” mean: they both needed to be nourished by food, and to expel the resulting waste products. So they were two slaves of Allah, like all other people, and they were not gods as the ignorant Christians claim. End quote. Tafseer Ibn Katheer (3/159).

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said, in the context of discussing the verses that refute the blasphemy of the Christians:

The words of Allah (interpretation of the meaning): “The Messiah ['Eesa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary), was no more than a Messenger; many were the Messengers that passed away before him” [al-Maa’idah 5:75] come after the words “Surely, disbelievers are those who said: ‘Allah is the third of the three (in a Trinity)’” [al-Maa’idah 5:73], which indicates that the trinity that Allah says they believe in involves regarding the Messiah son of Maryam and his mother as two gods.

This is clear, on the basis that what is narrated from the Christians is that they believe that the divine descended upon Mary and was incarnated in the Messiah. This is in accordance with their beliefs.

Based on that, every verse in which Allah mentions their views refers to all of their groups and refers to their belief in the Trinity and the notions of the divine descending upon Mary and being incarnated in the Messiah. Thus it includes all types of Christians and all types of their blasphemy. It is not the case that every verse that speaks of them is speaking of one type, as some have suggested, and there is not one verse that speaks about the Trinity and another that speaks about the descent of the divine and incarnation. Rather Allah, may He be glorified, mentions, in every single verse referred to, the blasphemy this is common to all of them, but He describes their blasphemy is being threefold, each aspect of which implies the other two: they say that the Messiah is God, and they say that he is the son of God, and they say that God is the third of three, as they took their Messiah and his mother as gods besides the true God, one on the basis of the divine descending upon her and the other on the basis of the divine being incarnated in him. Thus it becomes clear that they believe in three gods in one. This covers all the blasphemous concepts of the Christians. End quote.

Al-Fataawa al-Kubra (6/589-590).

why would such big scholars interpret these ayat to mean that mary was part of trinity if we claim that the quran doesnt say this

3. my questions on sura 5 and the trinity and mary

it starts at chapter 5:72, Surely, they have disbelieved who say: "Allah is the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary)." But the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)] said: "O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers) there are no helpers.

so anyone who believes jesus is god goes to hell

5:73, They have certainly disbelieved who say, " Allah is the third of three." And there is no god except one God. And if they do not desist from what they are saying, there will surely afflict the disbelievers among them a painful punishment. (here it speaks of trinity and says that anyone who says god is a trinity, or third of three have disbelieved)

5:74, Will they not then repent to Allah and ask His forgiveness? And Allah is Ever Forgiving, Ever-Merciful.

5:75 here my problem comes, The Messiah, son of Mary, was not but a messenger; [other] messengers have passed on before him. And his mother was a supporter of truth. They both used to eat food. Look how We make clear to them the signs; then look how they are deluded.

after just mentioning the trinity the quran then mentions the messiah and mary, and with the statement they both used to eat food allah is trying to disprove both the divinity of mary and jesus. if mary was not part of the trinity according to the quran, why was not the holy spirit ever mentioned, why do these big alims like ibn taymiyyah and ibn kathir deduct it from the quran, and why does the quran after mentioning the trinity in verse 73 go on and disprove the divinity of both mary and jesus in 5:75. it seems as if 5:73 is speaking of three beings allah and two others, and then in 5:75 it disproves the divinity of both jesus and mary which would only be logical if they were the two in the trinity in the first place.

Christ the son of Mary was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!

So some Christians may assert from verse 75, where Mary is mentioned, that the Quran does believe that Mary was part of the Trinity. They will assert that since the Quran makes the point that both Mary and Jesus ate food, the Quran here is trying to disprove divinity from both Jesus and Mary, and with the Trinity being mentioned in verse 73, this must mean the author thought that Mary was in the Trinity.

6. next quran 5:116, And ˹on Judgment Day˺ Allah will say, “O Jesus, son of Mary! Did you ever ask the people to worship you and your mother as gods besides Allah?” He will answer, “Glory be to You! How could I ever say what I had no right to say? If I had said such a thing, you would have certainly known it. You know what is ˹hidden˺ within me, but I do not know what is within You. Indeed, You ˹alone˺ are the Knower of all unseen.

i know this verse alone does not prove trinity, because the verse says nothing about trinitty, it just says taking mary as a god which catholics and collyrdians and marimites did. and quran 9:31 says the same message and this also doesnt mean trinity

Sahih International: They have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides Allah , and [also] the Messiah, the son of Mary. And they were not commanded except to worship one God; there is no deity except Him. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him.

but if we put it in the context of surah 5, 5:73-75 seems already to prove mary in the trinity, as it mentions the trinity in surah 5 , and then proceeds to disprove the divinity of mary which would only make sense if she was in the trinity oreviously mentioned also big alims like ibn taymiyyah and ibn kathir say this, then quran 5:116 goes on on speaking aboutt he divinity of mary.

i am having big trouble with tthis and i would love it if you could help me out

jzk khair.

How do we reapond to people who say muhammad suffered fdom illnesses like epilepsy, acromegaly, narcisistic personality disorder etc.

And give this as evidence:
disease caused by excessive production of a growth hormone, resulting in large bones, cold and fleshy hands and feet and coarse facial features such as enlarged lips, nose and tongue. Acromegaly occurs after the age of 40 and usually kills the patient in his early 60s.  It causes impotence, while it increases libido.  This explains Muhammad's sexual vagaries in his old age and why in the later years of his life he had such an insatiable craving for sex.  He would visit all his 9 wives in one night to touch and fondle them, without being satisfied.  His impotence explains his insecurity, paranoia, and intense jealousy of his young wives.  He ordered them to cover themselves, lest other men would cast a lusting eye on them.  Today, half a billion Muslim women veil themselves, because Muhammad was impotent.  Muhammad's illnesses explain a lot of mysteries of Islam.

Narrated by Anas:
The Prophet said "None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind." (Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 2, Number 14)

Muhammad was an orphan.  Spurned by his mother in his infancy and left in the care of a Bedouin couple, he had a loveless childhood.  He then passed to the care of his grandfather and uncle who took pity on him and spoiled him.  Not receiving love at a time he needed unconditional love and not receiving discipline when he needed to learn about boundaries, he developed narcissistic personality disorder, a trait that made him a megalomaniac bereft of conscience.  He fantasized about unlimited power, expected praise and admiration, believed he was special, and expected others to believe him and go along with his ideas and plans.  He took advantage of others, was jealous, yet believed others were jealous of him, and was extremely hurt when rejected, even killing those who deserted him.  He lied and deceived, feeling entitled and justified in doing so. All these are traits of narcissistic personality disorder.

Thanks to another mental illness, temporal lobe epilepsy, the prophet of Islam had vivid hallucinations he interpreted as mystical and divine intimations.   When he claimed he heard voices, saw angels and other ghostly entities, he was not lying.  His problem was that he could not distinguish reality from fantasy.

He also suffered from obsessive compulsive disorder, causing his fixations on numbers, rituals and stringent rules.  This explains why he lived such an austere life and why his religion is filled with so many absurd rules.

How do we respond

Assalamu alaikum,

We as muslims obviously say that there is only 1 quran, but we also say that these were revealed in 7 ahruf which now can be seen across 10 qiraat like hafs and warsh.

So my question is how can we say that there is 1 quran but say there are different ahruf, because in the ahruf there are differences like quran says owner of the day of judgement ( quran 1:4 malik yawm ad deen ) this is hafs. But in warsh it says king of the day of judgement ( melik yawm ad deen ) this is a differenxe. So how can we claim there  is only 1 quran but also say that there are some differences in the ahruf, doesnt 1 difference already make it 2 qurans as 1 quran (hafs) says one thing and warsh says the other

Jazakallah khair
