Question regarding Prophet Muhammad's PBUH ascension (Miraj)
« on: December 17, 2016, 05:10:49 PM »
Assalamu alaykum dear bros and sisters. Hope you're having an amazing day.
I had a question regarding the ascension of the prophet into the heavens. Ive read or heard somewhere that the Prophet spoke to Allah Almighty but in between them was a veil of light. So Im not asking if he saw Allah but did he speak to Him? Is there evidence in the hadith that suggests this and what is the opinion of the scholars regarding the topic?

Thank you in advance and as always, Assalamu Alaykum.

Asèsalamo alaik akhi Osama,

I read your article and was surprised that you deny ascendant of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) into the sky (heaven). According to Quran, it’s crystal clear that he did.

(53:13-15) And he certainly saw him in another descent; Near the Lote-tree beyond which none may pass; Near it is the Paradise of Abode.

Wa Alaikum As'salam dear brother Fadi,

Jazaka Allah Khayr for the correction.  I will add your piece to the article today, insha'Allah.  I missed linking the Noble Verses when I studied the Glorious Quran.  Thank you for clarifying it.

May Allah Almighty forgive me for making an error.  Ameen.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

As-Salam aleikum wa rahmatullahi wa baraketuh,

I was also surprised when I’ve read this article denying the Miraj of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh). I confirm of what brother fadi quotes from the Quran, and even in authentic sunna you can find hadiths relating the moment of ascension of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) who - by passing through all seven heavens - saw in his way prophets like Adam (pbuh), Jesus and John the Baptist (pb upon them), Noe (pbuh), Idris (pbuh), Moses (pbuh) and Abraham (pbuh). So, the ascension of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) indeed took place, there is no doubt of that.

Also, remember my post about the White Horse from the Book of Revelation ? This description clearly shows that the rider was in heaven, and to be honest, we don’t recognize anyone who could fits this person from Revelation besides Prophet Mohammed (pbuh). Allah knows best!

It would be better brother Osama to correct your statement on that particular issue. As a Muslims, we should correct each other  :)

Take care, and salam
Ahmed (Poland, Warsaw)

There are 2 interpretation of Mi'raj of the prophet.
First only his soul ascends above.
Second being both soul and physical body ascend above. Most would go for the second opinion of Mi'raj.
