Question on interest

We all know that interest is haram, but i wanted to ask a question about it.

Imagine i want to buy a house and i dont have the money so i go to a bank they lend me 100000 so i buy the house and pay them back. If i didnt pay any interest it would go like this: they lend me 100000 which will help me big time so now i will be able to buy the house, then i pay the bank back in a 48 month period. And now the bank has their money back. So the bank lended me 100k and thus doing me a big favor and allowing me to buy the house i want, and it took me a total of 2 years to return them their money, is this just? Didnt they do me a favor by allowing me to lend money by allowing me to buy the house and by allowing a payment pln of 48 months?

I know interest is haram because people get in debt and it can destroy whole societies. So what would fix this kind of situation above without interest, because now the bank makes no profit, when it did you lik 3 favors and allowed you to buy the house you want, so how would we fix this with no interest based system and make it completely just

One should only take loan when he is in dire need of money and if we help somebody who is in need
Making profit from it is haram will you want to make profit out of helping someone ?
as a human would you ?
Now if he return the whole amount in two years or three years or what ever years that depends upon
The deal agreed between the man and the bank of the bank has agreed upon the return of the amount in two years , fair enough

The bank can take some thing as security from the man so he can recover hi amount...
