Anyway, I would like to know your current definition of 'salafi' because salafi are actually defined as those who follow the teachings of the Quran, and the sunnah with the understanding of the past people.

If one does good from memorizing the Holy Quran and teaching Islam, then he's doing it for his own good.  It doesn't mean that the cult that he associates himself with is good.  All Islamic cults are corrupt and evil.
