Meteors In The Quran

Quran precisely talks about meteors. Please read the following article.

But I don't understand one thing, Does cloud really form before one single meteor hit the earth's surface? The verse of the Quran is talking about one single meteor I guess. Please someone explain me this. Please refer to the portion of the above article given below which says that and explain me the matter. I am confused. Please help.



[Scientific facts state that the fall of huge meteors on the earth is preceded by the formation of dense clouds that precede the collusion of meteors with the earth. As it appears in the above picture, a cloud was formed before a meteor fell in Russia (282013 15/). Scientists say that such a view which we witnessed today about which no one knew before was revealed in the holy Qur’an; Allah. the exalted says:

Were they to see a piece of the sky (kesaf) falling (on them), they would (only) say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!"  Tur: 52:44

The word kesaf in Arabic means pieces of stones and such stones can’t be seen when meteors fall, but we can see the clouds that result from the friction of the stones with the atmospheric and the burning of parts of them thus smoky clouds appear first and this is exactly what the holy Qur'an describes precisely.]

PLEASE BROTHERS HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND THE FACT. And brother my friends and relatives have seen many shooting stars but they didn't see any cloud with them. Neither do they look like clouds. I am totally confused  about that article. Please help me.

Many of my relatives have seen meteors but they didn't see any cloud with them. So the article by brother Kaheel is confusing me. Please help me. Explain the fact in detail. Please.

The verse in the Quran 52:44 is talking about the absurdity of people denying Allah's signs. They see a meteor with their eyes and the first thing they do is say "it is not a punishment from Allah, its just Clouds piled up". In this verse, Allah is revealing the absurdity of people who deny his signs and the absurdity of their excuses to deny his signs.

But, I have seen meteor showers myself, and the meteor usually has a tail and astronomer call it a dust CLOUD. There is a reason why they chose to call it a 'cloud'. When  meteor shower hits earth, it leaves dubris that is pretty much a dust cloud. Sometimes it may resemble a real cloud.

But even if they resemble a real cloud, we know it is not a normal cloud that verse in the Quran is talking about the absurdity of those people who deny God's punishment.

 The above Ayah is referring to one single meteor I think. So, my friends and relatives have seen meteor shooting at night. But they didn't see any cloud at the time of shooting. They only saw light. But the above verse says clouds are visible when a meteor shoots. So please someone crystallize the matter for me. Please make me understand the above Ayah. An another thing, how can meteor be a piece of the sky? PLEASE HELP.

A meteor is a piece of the heavens (sama). Sama may refer tot he sky or universe. So a piece of the universe came down.

Have you seen a meteor strike in the morning? I have, sometimes it resembles clouds. But that is not the point of the verse. The point of the verse was Allah exposing the absurdity of denying Allah's signs, saying that its not a meteor it is just Clouds. Its absurd to say that.
