Moses or Jesus?

Is Moses greater than Jesus or Jesus greater than Moses? Somewhere in the Bible it says that Jesus is better than Moses but I think that Moses is better because he was the one who freed the Israelites from tyrant Pharaoh, crossed the Red Sea, and got the Law while Jesus was just a follower of the Law of Moses and was a teacher. Am I wrong for believing Moses is better than Jesus? Please let me know

I would say your question does not make any sense.

Moses and Jesus both had different situations and existed in different times with different issues, and the Jews responded to each of them differently. We cannot judge who is "better" because we cannot account for the confounding factors and the differential environmental factors they lived in.

In fact, Quran 3:84 tells us not to do this:

[Quran 3:84] Say, "We have believed in Allah and in what was revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Descendants, and in what was given to Moses and Jesus and to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [submitting] to Him."

A problem is that in Quran 2:253 it said "Those messengers - some of them We caused to exceed others. Among them were those to whom Allah spoke, and He raised some of them in degree. And We gave Jesus, the Son of Mary, clear proofs, and We supported him with the Pure Spirit. If Allah had willed, those [generations] succeeding them would not have fought each other after the clear proofs had come to them. But they differed, and some of them believed and some of them disbelieved. And if Allah had willed, they would not have fought each other, but Allah does what He intends."  In the first sentence it says, "Those Messengers, some of them we caused to exceed others." Why does this ayat say that some prophets exceeded others? Doesn't that mean some prophets can be better than other prophets?

"Exceed" means more successful or more capable. You asked who was "better".

But even then Quran 2:253 did not specify who exceeded others, so such a topic should not be sought after.
