AsalamuAlaikum,

As of late I havnt been busy on this site. My apologies.

As I discussed before - http://www.answering-christianity.com/blog/index.php/topic,1479.msg5690.html#msg5690 - Answerin-Christianity gets a massive amount of traffic and is one the most popular Islamic Sites on the Internet - Alhamdulillah.

This is a massive platform for the Dawah and refuting lies against Islam.

But one thing I have noticed is that there are so many amazing articles on smaller sites such as:

http://callingchristians.com/
http://www.islamic-awareness.org/
http://www.call-to-monotheism.com/
http://quran-errors.blogspot.co.uk/
http://www.letmeturnthetables.com/

Etc etc

These sites contain so many amazing refutations and articles that have cleared up so many issues for me personally. However sadly looking up there traffic flows and doing Google searched I hardly see them appear - Whereas Answering-Christianity does.

From this I realised the need for these articles to get a bigger platform.

And this is why I'm humbly asking if brother Osama could add there articles onto the site. Not all of them but maybe the big ones. However I think this would require the owners permission.

But links such as these:

http://www.letmeturnthetables.com/p/complete-list-of-articles.html
http://www.islamic-awareness.org/Quran/Contrad/

Contain just golden information.

Aswell what I also noticed is that we could expand Answering-Christianity on just simple brief articles on basic topics, Not long complex ones, which may pick up google hits - What is Islam?, Who Is Prophet Muhammad, What Is the Quran etc etc

In my time on street Dawah aswell I have come accross many amazing booklets and Phamphlets. For example I own many of these booklets:

http://idci.co.uk/Dawah-316
http://www.onereason.org/order-materials/downloads/

I would happily sit and type these booklets out - adding them to the site - they contain general Dawah information and some golden things.

By doing this I feel it would increase flow on Google and getting people sharing Answering-Christianity more as they would be general Dawah topics we discuss.

Another good idea would be to create a Islamic Libary section.

And add PDF's of books such as books from this site:
http://www.kalamullah.com/

Etc

This would also increase traffic flow and provide excellent books on Islam for those interested.

For all these projects im happy to give my time. Whether it be typing out booklets, copy and pasting articles etc etc

I say this as It is something close to my heart - The Dawah.

I pray you get back to me with what you think.

In our view the man who rapes a woman, regardless of whether she is a virgin or not, if she is a free woman he must pay a "dowry" like that of her peers, and if she is a slave he must pay whatever has been detracted from her value. The punishment is to be carried out on the rapist and there is no punishment for the woman who has been raped, whatever the case.  (Imam Maalik, Al-Muwatta', Volume 2, page 734)

Hello i still don't know how she agreed to accept Islam and married the Prophet after her family was killed please ANSWER ME so i can tell others :(

AsalamuAlaikum,

This is what my next upcoming article will be about.

There are many reasons:

She fell in love with the Prophet SAW before meeting him:

When Allah’s Messenger (pbuh) reached Khyber while Safiya was a bride at her place. She saw in her dream that a sun came into her lap. She mentioned it before her husband. He said; ‘By Allah you do not wish for anyone except the King who has come upon us.’ Allah’s Messenger conquered Khyber and her husband was killed. From that time (of dream) she loved that the Prophet (pbuh) may marry her.

[Tabarani Kabeer, Hadith 19667]

Also, the symbolic fall of the sun onto Safiyah's chest had its own indications. For she had a yearning, from the depth of her heart full of faith, for the person of the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad.

[Muhammad 'Ali Qutb, (2008) Women Around The Messenger, International Islamic Publishing House, p101]

During her childhood her parents and uncles were worried about the Prophet Muhammad SAW because they knew he was a prophet:

"When the Prophet emigrated to Medeenah, he stopped on his way in a place called Quba'. When the Jews heard of his arrival they hurried to see him to make sure that he was the epected prophet and they started comparing him to what was written in their books about the last prophet expected to rise... Safiyah said: ... Then I heard my uncle, Abu Yasir saying to my father: "Is he the one?" My father said: "Yes, he is." My uncle said: "Are you sure of that? Are you sure that he is the Seal of the Prophets?" My father said: "Yes, he is the last Prophet."...

[Faridah Mas'ood Debas, The Wives of the Prophet Muhammad, International Islamic Publishing House, pp.123-4]

So as a young child she knew he was a Prophet.

Aswell her husband use to hit her:

When the Prophet entered Safiyyah's presence, he notice a bruise on her face; he asked her about it and she said: " I saw in a dream that a moon had fallen into my room and I informed my husband, Kinanah about it and he said: "This means naught except that you desire Al-Hijaz and Muhammad!" Then he struck me a blow to my face and this is the mark left by it."

[Darussalam, (2004) The Honorable Wives of the Prophet, Darussalam, p.115]

And as we know the Prophet SAW never hit his wives and taught good treatment of women:

The Messenger of Allah () said: "The best of you is the best to his wives, and I am the best of you to my wives.

[At-Tirmidhi Book 49, Hadith 4269 Grade: Sahih (Darussalam)]

The Prophet said: "The best of you is the one who is best to his wife, and I am the best of you to my wives."

[Sunan Ibn Majah Book 9, Hadith 2053 Grade: Hasan]

The Messenger of Allaah said: ‘Be kind to women.’”

[Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3153; Muslim, 1468]

“Aisha reported that Allah's Messenger, may Allah bless him, never beat anyone with his hand, neither a woman nor a servant, but only, in the case when he had been fighting in the cause of Allah …” (Sahih Muslim, Hadith 4296)

It was narrated that 'Aishah said:
"The Messenger of Allah never beat any of his servants, or wives, and his hand never hit anything."

[Sunan Ibn Majah Book 9, Hadith 2060 Muslim. Grade: Sahih (Darussalam)]

There are so many reasons and in shaa Allah in my article I will detail them.

You should watch the following debate:

These sect driven Muslims believe in the 5 pillars of Islam. This is the biggest lie. There should be like 200+ pillars of Islam. You break one pillar, commit one sin, you become a disbeliever until your repent.

You believe that if you commit one sin your a Kafir?

AsalamuAlaikum,

Surah Al-Ghashiyah is a common Surah we recite.

But today I was just reflecting over the ayat:

And at the mountains, how they have been set up,

Nusibat comes from Noon Saad Baa. Which according to Hans Wehr Arabic-English Dictionary means:

According to Lanes Lexicon :

As many of us know Mountains are formed by tectonic plates colliding and one being raised or elevated to form mountains.

I though Brother Osama could take a look. Could be a new Miracle? As Allah says he raised or elevated the mountains.

Allah Knows Best.

AsalamuAlaikum,

From my knowledge the Prophet SAW and the Companions would make wudu from buckets and containers etc as they didnt have taps.

So In shaa Allah it should be fine to make Wudu from a bucket.

What about the Hadith in Sahih Muslim?

There is a Hadith in Sahih Muslim Book 39, Hadith 6707 that reads as the following:

Abu Haraira reported that Allah's Messenger () took hold of my hands and said:
Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, created the clay on Saturday and He created the mountains on Sunday and He created the trees on Monday and He created the things entailing labour on Tuesday and created light on Wednesday and lie caused the animals to spread on Thursday and created Adam (peace be upon him) after 'Asr on Friday;the last creation at the last hour of the hours of Friday, i. e. between afternoon and night.

There are numerous criticisms against it.

Al-Bukhârî writes in al-Târâkh al-Kabîr:

"Some of them have said that it is from Abû Hurayrah who took it from Ka`b al-Ahbâr. This is the most correct view."

Ibn Kathîr, in his commentary of the Qur'ân writes:

This hadîth is one of the unusual hadîth found in Sahîh Muslim. `Alî al-Madînî, al-Bukhârî, and a number of other leading scholars of hadîth have criticized it, saying that it is the statement of Ka`b and that Abû Hurayrah merely heard it from Ka`b al-Ahbar and some narrators merely got confused and attributed it to the Prophet (peace be upon him). This has been thoroughly researched by al-Bayhaqî.

Ibn Taymiyah comments:

"It is a defective hadîth. It has been declared defective by more than a few scholars." [Majmû` al-Fatâwâ (17/236)]

Moreover, regarding the text itself, al-Qurtubî points out in his commentary on Sahîh Muslim that the text does not convey its meaning with sufficient coherence. He writes in al-Mufhim:

This hadîth has been related in other sources besides Sahîh Muslim with various conflicting narrations. In some of them the Earth is created on Sunday and Monday while the mountains are created on Tuesday and the trees, rivers, and inhabitants are created on Wednesday, and the Sun, Moon, stars, and angels created on Thursday, and Adam on Friday. These are single-narrator hadîth that conflict with one another and do not provide any practical instruction. We must not rely upon them in determining the order of appearance of created things during those days.

What he is saying is that even if we regard the hadîth as authentic - as a number of scholars do - there remains the problem that there is too much incoherence in its many conflicting narrations to provide evidence for the order of events.

In relation to this Hadith Mufti Shafi Usmani writes in Ma'ariful Quran:

Hafiz Ibn Kathir has also quoted the following as explanation of this verse given by Sayyidna Ibn Abbas with reference to Ibn Jarir:

"The Jews of Madinah came to see the Holy Prophet, and asked him about the creation of the earth and of the skies. The Holy Prophet told them that Allah Almighty created the earth on Sunday and Monday, the mountains and the minerals therein on Tuesday, and the trees, water springs, cities, buildings and desolate plains on Wednesday - all this in four days as stated in the verse.

Then He created the sky on Thursday. And on Friday, He created the stars, the sun, the moon and the angels. All this was completed on Friday when three hours were still left. All the disasters and troubles that everything is going to face were created in the second hour, and in the third period Sayyidna 'Adam (A.S) was created and lodged in Paradise, Iblis was commanded to prostrate before Sayyidna 'Adam (A.S) and turned out of Paradise when he refused to prostrate. All this was completed till the end of the third hour....(Ibn Kathir). At the end, Ibn Kathir says: "This hadith has an element of gharabah" (that is, the contents of this Hadith are not corroborated by other sources)

The commencement of creation took place on Saturday according to a Hadith narrated by Sayyidna Abu Hurairah, reported in Sahih of Muslim. As per this Hadith, it took seven days for the creation of the earth and skies. But generally the explicit verses of the Qur'an mention the duration of creation to be six days.

"And We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six days, and no weariness even touched Us."(50:38)
Because of this, and also because of its (weak) chain of narrators, this Hadith has been held as 'ma'lul' (defective) by the leading muhaddithin. Ibn Kathir Rahmatullahi 'Alayh: Allah have mercy upon him has stated that this Hadith is one of the strange ones of Sahih of Muslim, and then stated that Imam Bukhari, in his book Tarikh Kabir, has considered this narration to be ma'lul (defective). And some scholars have quoted this statement as a saying of Sayyidna Abu Hurairah, narrated by Ka'b Ahbar, and not as a statement of the Holy Prophet, and have said that this is the most correct. (Ibn Kathir p. 94, vol. 4)

Similarly, other masters of Hadith like Ibn-ul-Madini, Baihaqi, etc. have also considered it to be a statement of Ka'b Ahbar. (Foot note of Zad-ul-Masir by Ibn-ul-Jauzi, p. 273, vol. 7)

The narration of Sayyidna Ibn 'Abbas quoted above from Ibn Jarir has also an element of gharabah, (being against other sources) according to Ibn Kathir. One reason for its gharabah is that in this narration creation of Sayyidna 'Adam (A.S) took place along with the creation of skies in the last hour of Friday, and the divine order for prostration and the exit of Iblis from the Paradise is also mentioned to have taken place in the same hour. But it is patently clear from the text of many verses of the Qur'an that creation of Sayyidna 'Adam (A.S) took place a long time after the creation of the earth and skies, when the earth was provided with all the necessities, and it was inhabited by the Jinns and satans (devils). It was after all this that Allah Ta'ala told the angels that He was going to make a vicegerent on the earth. (Mazhari)

Briefly, of all the ahadith wherein the duration, days and sequence of creation of the earth and skies is narrated, no narration is such which can be said to be as absolutely certain as the Qur'an. Rather, it is very likely that these may be Israelite traditions, not noble ahadith, as clarified by Ibn Kathir about the Hadith quoted in Sahih of Muslim and Nasa'i. Therefore conclusions should be drawn from the verses of the Qur'an only.

Summary

So what we find is that this hadith is gharabah (being against other sources) and is 'ma'lul' (defective). Furthermore it is believed not to be a statement of the Prophet SAW but of Abu Hurairah and also it is said to be an Israelite tradition. So this hadith cannot be attributed to the Prophet SAW and conclusions regarding the process of creation should only be drawn from the Quran. Therefore it has no impact on the Quranic statement of:

{إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ}

Indeed, your Lord is Allah , who created the heavens and earth in six periods [Quran 7:54]

AsalamuAlaikum,

A powerful sign.

Nations summoning one another to attack Muslims - Minor Sign 51

The people will soon summon others to attack Muslims, as people when eating invite others to share their dish. This is a prediction of the Prophet (ﷺ) about Muslims. They will be weak towards the end of this world, and other nations will make an onslaught on them. They will be like a dish in which the people put in their hands from all sides to eat. This is exactly the present situation of the Muslims.

Narrated Thawban: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The people will soon summon one another to attack you as people when eating invite others to share their dish. Someone asked: Will that be because of our small numbers at that time? He replied: No, you will be numerous at that time: but you will be scum and rubbish like that carried down by a torrent, and Allah will take fear of you from the breasts of your enemy and last enervation into your hearts. Someone asked: What is wahn (enervation, weakness). Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): He replied: Love of the world and dislike of death. [1]
