HOW MANY SUNS AND MOONS DID ALLAH CREATE?

http://aloloomenglish.net/vb/showthread.php?693-How-many-Suns-and-Moons-did-Allah-create

The above article claims that Allah said in the Quran that there is only one moon and one sun. But how can it be true? According to modern cosmology there are probably millions of Suns and Moons in our Universe!!!!!

I know, I asked the same question on the forum some days ago and I also got some answers. But still I'm not convinced. Please help me.

GENERAL TOPICS | BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS / Some Confusions!!!

Assalamualykum.

Sister, Are the present copies of the Quran written in Uthmanic orthography or according to newly developed normal orthography?

http://www.islamic-awareness.org/Quran/Text/Scribal/haleem.html

I read the above article but couldn't understand many things due to my lack of knowledge in Arabic grammar. I couldn't read the whole article because the more I was reading the more confused I was getting.  :'( :'(For example, it says there are 6 rules in Quranic rasm:

1. The rule of deletion, hadhf
2. The rule of addition, ziyādah
3. The rule of substitution, badal
4. The rule of the hamza,
5. The rule of joining and separating, al-wasl wa-l-fasl
6. The rule of cases where there are two canonical readings but the text is written according to one of them, ma fīhi qirā'ātan fa-kutiba `alā ihdāhumā.

the first rule involves deletion of alif, ya,lam, nun and waw. Why should we delete them? If they are there in the Uthmanic manuscript, there must be some reasons for adding them!! Why the early Muslims would add things unnecessarily ?Why should we delete them??? I having problems with the first 4 rules. It is said that, this is done for the convenience of the readers. So that they don't face any problem. If it's true, then didn't the early Muslims also had problems in the recitation?

GENERAL TOPICS | BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS / Explanation of 72:9 needed!!!

Assalamualykum.

''And we used to sit in some of its seats to listen. But whoso listens now finds a shooting star in ambush for him,'' (72:9)

Okay this verse says, ''....we used to sit in....''. That means jinns used to enter the lowest Heavens. But how is it possible? Because our universe from its inception is guarded with stars. I mean to say that stars were there from the inception of the universe serving as missiles by emitting different types of rays, so how jinns used enter here???? Didn't they face any obstacle?????  It can't happen that they started serving as missile just some 2000 or 3000 years ago. Can it?  They have been there for billions of years. Please help.

GENERAL TOPICS | BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS / Contradicting Hadith!!!!!
« on: January 06, 2014, 06:31:11 AM »
Assalamualykum.

Some people claim that Quran doesn't really talk about cosmic rays through verse 67:5 and other similar verses. Rather it talks about meteors. They quote the following hadith in support of their claim:

Ibn Abbas narrated from one of the companions of the Prophet (saw) from among the Ansar, who said that they were with the Prophet (saw) one night and they witnessed a shooting star. The Prophet (saw) asked them,

"What did you say during the days of ignorance concerning a shooting star like that?" They said, "Allah and His Messenger know best. We used to say that on that night an important person was born or an important person had died."

The Prophet (saw) said, "It does not do so because of the death or birth of anyone. But when Allah (swt) decides an affair, the inhabitants who carry the Throne sing His praise, and so do the ones of the next heaven and so forth until the lowest heaven. Then those are close to those who carry the Throne say to those who carry the Throne, "What did your Lord say?" And they are then informed about what Allah has decreed. And they pass this news to the next heaven and so forth until it reaches the lowest heaven. Then the jinn listen in and pass on the word to their servants. When the angels notice them they attack them with meteors. If all that they [the jinn] would relate is only that which they actually had heard, they would be truthful; but, instead, they mix it with lies and make additions to it."

They say from the above Hadith it's clear that Quran is talking about something seen directly from Earth. But we know that cosmic rays aren't seen from the Earth.

Okay, logically the above Hadith can't be true at all. Because stars have no relation with meteors. And it also says that Jiinns used to travel to the lowest heaven stealing the secret information  to convey them to the fortune tellers. So Allah made the stars a guard against them so that they can't enter the lowest heaven. But, how it's possible????? Because stars have been there from the inception of the Universe serving as guards against the devils. Can anyone please help me with this? Muhammad (PBUH) can't say such a thing. Becuase it doesn't really make any sense. Allah Himself declares:

Nor doth he speak of (his own) desire.(53:3)

 وَلَقَدْ زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيحَ وَجَعَلْنَاهَا رُجُومًا لِلشَّيَاطِينِ

 Translation:

'' And We have certainly beautified the nearest heaven with stars and have made [from] them what is thrown at the devils and have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze.''

''And verily We have beautified the world's heaven with lamps, and We have made them missiles for the devils, and for them We have prepared the doom of flame.''

Okay my question is, the word وَجَعَلْنَاهَا should be translated as ''We made it" not ''We made them''. وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ means ''We made them''. Well, can anyone clarify this? Why the word رُجُومًا is translated as ''Missiles''? It actually means ''stones'' or ''throwing''.  And how can stars be thrown at the devils? Please explain this with proofs from dictionaries :'( :'( :'(

And we have, (from of old), adorned the lowest heaven with Lamps, and We have made such (Lamps) (as) missiles to drive away the Evil Ones, and have prepared for them the Penalty of the Blazing Fire.

I'm confused about the above verse. How can stars or lamps be missiles? ???  Yes, Stars can be the sources of missiles or in other words missile launchers. Not missiles. Because they are firm in their places.  Please help. :'( :'( :'(

Please refute the following article:

it might create confusions for those who don't have much knowledge in Arabic.

Assalamualykum.

Okay, we know not a single word of the Quran has changed till now. But if we compare the HAFS and Warsh Qira'ats of the Quran we find plenty of word differences. Please visit the following page which contains the differences:

                     http://submission.org/verify_are_all_Arabic_versions_of_Quran_the_same.html

Please explain me this. How many Qira'ats are there in total? How do we know they are authentic ? Which is the original Qira'at in which Quran was revealed? Are Qira'ats different versions of the Quran because we see word variances in them?

GENERAL TOPICS | BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS / WHO ARE ARABS?
« on: December 08, 2013, 04:17:06 AM »
Assalamualykum.

I just wanted to know if the black people from Africa and some Chinese looking people from Indonesia living in the Middle-East are also called Arab?  ??? ??? ??? Another question:

Are every Arabic speaking person considered Arab? And if a person is considered Arab by ancestry then it can be said that, now the Arab has become a mixed race. I have seen many Indians, Pakistanis, Afghans, Bangladeshis who exactly resemble the Arabs. And its obvious because many Arab merchants came to this region for business and settled down here permanently. They married the local women. I myself is an example of that. But I'm not sure whether my ancestors were Arabs, Persians or Turks. Maybe Persian or Turk or mixed!!!! ;D ;D ;D. Because the region from where I am from was under Persian and Turkish rule for almost 1000 years. Arabs mainly Iraqis were there in the southern region of the country. I'm from north.

I also read an article which says that the Jordanians, Syrians, Lebanese and Palestinians are not complete Arab by ancestry. But yes complete Arab by language.
