Don't you think that Answering Christianity's articles (even the whole website if possible) should be translated into languages, perhaps Arabic, Persian, Mandarin. Since only 15% of the world could understand English at this level. What do you think? If yes, what languages do you think it should be translated into, the priority ones first.

let me begin, they claim that the Tabari version is the true version, and that the current more used, no violent version has no primary source, expecially when it come to the lines "an arab is not superior than a non arab... except in piety".
the primary source is that of Ahmed bin Hanbal in his Musnad.

Hadiths & Sunna, and Prophet Muhammad's Person / Re: The beard in Islam
« on: November 20, 2012, 01:21:23 PM »
Almighty Allah knows best. See the video of Sheikh Yusuf Estes and Sheikh Bilal Philips. He said that it's not obligatory to grow your bear, but it's obligatory to let your beard grow. They said that was the Hukm because the Blessed Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم gave no exceptions when he ordered his followers to do so.

Where is thwe hadith or verse he did that

The first website is written by a well known indian muslim scholar.

Actually there are 3 opinions on the beard
1) Growing the beard is an obligation and shaving it is forbidden. This opinion is championed by Ibn Hazm and Ibn Taimiya among others.
2) Growing the beard in mandub (desirable) and shaving it is makruh (undesirable). This opinion is championed by Ibn Hanbal, Ibn Qudamah, Imam Shirazi, Imam Shawkhani, Imam Nawawi and Qadi (judge) Iyad among others.
3) Growing and shaving the beard is mubah (permitted), which is the opinion of Qadi Abu Bakr Ibn al-Arabi and Imam Qurtabi.
The second opinion is believed by most scholars, especially modern scholars, after the t and its the one i believe, God knows best though.
The prophet said , “In our deen, we trim the moustache and we let the beard grow,”  this does not imply the obligation because in our deen, there is wajib, mandub, makruh, haram and mubah. I also researched it and come up with this conclusion. The article i posted gives islamic insight on why shaving is allowed but not desired, but growing it gives you a great reward.

I thnk you should have a section that refutes wikiislam exclusively, just as you have an entire sections on answering islam and ali sina.

Ahmed bin Hanbal has given us the longest and perhaps the most complete version of this sermon in his Masnud, Hadith no. 19774
There is also a different version in Al-Tabari, Vol. 9, pp. 112-113
THe one in Tabari is very cruel though.

Hadiths & Sunna, and Prophet Muhammad's Person / Contradictions Pictures
« on: November 18, 2012, 01:08:23 PM »
Peace
I read two articles, each one is concerned with picture making (whether, drawing, photography, painting, etc.), one said all types of picture-making is wrong (except in legal documents and wanted posters), the other said that it is OK depending on the purpose, they are both backed up with Quranic verses and hadith. Can you guys read both and tell which one is true
the articles are:
http://www.correctislamicfaith.com/picturesinislam.htm                                   this one said it is permissible
http://islamqa.info/en/ref/365                                                                           This one said it is forbidden
http://islamqa.info/en/ref/10668

I am asking this because i like to gatherings and take pictures for memory.

If he/she knows that islam treated men and women equally, and read the islamic POV, then he/she wont even think of leaving it.
Antiapartheid, islam is a feminist's religion as i have proven in my previous comment, so hopefully, you would return to the fold of islam, it is one of the least sexist religions in the world, it treats women how they should be treated, with respect, dignity, and love.

SO why is it written in tafsir ibn kathir, and ibn ishaq is not in the isnad, is anyone in the isnad weak, that ibn kathir stated.

313
If he/she claims to be a feminist then she should DEFINITLY support islam, if he/she believes that a women is superior to men, then we must attempt to change him/her, not encourage or tell them to apostise.
We must ask ourselves, what would the Prophet do (Hint: the prophet was VERY forgiving http://www.islamreligion.com/articles/205/viewall

Dear brother Osama
Peace
I read your article on your views on music, and although you bring up some good points, i think your allowing music for the wrong reasons.
Of you want the REAL pooff that islam allows music , please read this excellent article

http://islamicsystem.blogspot.com/2012/04/q-shari-rule-on-songs-music-singing.html
you should post it, maybe rearrange it

I dont agree with you that Islam being Anti feminist.
definition of feminism: a collection of movements and ideologies aimed at defining, establishing, and defending equal political, economic, financial, and social rights for women
Islam does give equal rights to women:
Financial: the husband get more money (from inheritance) however he HAS to spend money on his wife (dowry) and family . (So, in the end, the wife has at least equal money to the husbands)
Economically: Women are allowed to get jobs, as long as it doesn't go against Islam,
Political: How many female Muslim prime ministers have there been?
Social: Women are given the same punishments men do. The can be witnesses i court, and they have the same value as a man, except in loans, because since the man are more knowledgeable in finance, since they pay fore everything, so they should get to have the right. ANd the reason for 4 MALE witnesses for adultery is to make the conviction of adulterers impossible, (how can people say that they saw the penetration, and have proof, and bring forth 4 virtuous, good male, muslim, witnesses who also saw the penetration, who also have proof. Impossible) Answering Christianity, Loonwatch, and muhaddith.org have proven this.
Women are given the right for divorce, same as men.
men and women have spiritual equality, a sin for a man in equally a sin for a women, and vice versa.
In verse 4:34 it say that IF the husband is caring and providing for the wife, THEN the wife must be nice (Obedient) to her husband
also it says that men CANNOT beat there wife ( http://www.answering-christianity.com/beating_no.htm ) or men beats there wife AFTER they warn them, THEN tell them (That they have ill-welled them) , and finally beat them (lightly, ibn abbas said with a TOOTHPICK, not on the face, that does not cause bruises, break bones, can't be with a rod, wire, etc. so virtually a mere push
source http://www.answering-christianity.com/beating.htm) and women have the right to divorce the husband if he beat her.
Zaik Nakir (i disagree with him in some things but most things i think he is VERY trustworthy) compared men and women to 2 students with equal test scores, maybe in one criteria one got better than then the other but overall the are equal
Islam is completely feminist religion, it recognizes that men and women are different but gives them equality
