Salam bros and Sisters.

We have had evidence that people fabricated hadiths in the past (What is why Bukhari consider some as nonauthentic).

But, what if when someone who wanted to fabricate a hadith, also fabricated the chain of narration with it so that it appears authentic??

I'm pretty sure this has happened..

Your opinion?

Assalamualykum.

It might have happened with some Hadiths. Because you see, there are some so called Sahih Hadiths which demonized our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and also his companions. So yes there are some inauthentic fabricated Hadiths which have taken their places in the Sahih Hadiths volumes. But remember, the Sunnah is still preserved. Because if Allah wouldn't have preserved it then it would have been impossible for us to worship Allah in a proper way and Allah The Most Merciful won't let any such thing to happen.

AsalamuAlaikum,

This is why we have the science of Hadeeth to detect this.

On a side note a hadeeth may have a Sahih Isnaad but it doesnt mean the hadeeth is Sahih.

If you wish to learn more about Usool Al-Hadeeth. Read this really simple book which explained it pretty good to me:

Peace
If that happens then they will be considered the flaw in the chain, and then the hadith is rejected.
Peace
