To finish off, i'll sum up what I want to say, just because Osama Abdallah used insulting remarks in his threads does not make him a bad Muslim

Didn't claim otherwise.

I was just the reminder. The one who reminds the Brother "I know your angry, but calm down, your better than this"

and I did my job, no need to add anything more.

Fe Eman Allah.

You are such a clown, I SAID, and I will say it once more WE HAVE TO FOLLOW WHAT IS FARDH AND WHAT WE HAVE TO ABSTAIN FROM.

Riding camels, wearing a thobe etc is not Fardh.
Stop with the stupid jokes please.

As'salamu Alaikum dear brother Adnaan,

According to the Hadiths, the Prophet, peace be upon him, commanded the Muslims to grow beards and shave the moustaches for the purpose of the Muslims being different from disbelievers.  And during those days, Islam was still partial, and Muslims still had most of their families with the disbelievers.  So, it was a way to further help the Muslims to:

1-  Remove themselves, and disassosiate themselves from the pagans, and their ways.

2-  To grow an independent Islamic community.

3-  To look different from the pagans, especially during the times of battle.

But you see akhi, this is where the FARD (COMPULSORY) laws are disagreed upon.  All Muslims agree that all of the Glorious Quran's Laws are mandatory for all times and all places.  But when it comes to the Hadiths Laws, it varries.  Some are for limited times, and some are for all times and all places.  When the Prophet, peace be upon him, says:

Narrated Nafi':  "Ibn Umar said, The Prophet said, 'Do the opposite of what the pagans do. Keep the beards and cut the moustaches short.' Whenever Ibn 'Umar performed the Hajj or 'Umra, he used to hold his beard with his hand and cut whatever moustaches. Ibn Umar used to cut his moustache so short that the whiteness of his skin (above the upper lip) was visible, and he used to cut (the hair) between his moustaches and his beard.  (Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Dress, Volume 7, Book 72, Number 780)"

This Hadith looks like to me to be for a specific situation, and for a specific solution.  I mean don't get me wrong, the Hadith is still FARD.  But what kind of FARD?  Should it be compulsory upon every Muslim man to grow a beard in the Islamic State?  Most Muslims disagree with this.  I've written an article regarding this subject years ago at: http://www.answering-christianity.com/growing_beards.htm.  Feel free to respond to it in details.

I hope this helps, insha'Allah.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

I see these kids from Arabs and others all the time when I decide to go smoke Hookah at an Arabic Cafe.

Smoking ?!

I don't smoke ciggarettes akhi :).  But I do smoke sheesha (hooka) sometimes on weekends.  Orange Mint flavor on an actual grapefruit fruit is my favorite :).  I don't inhale it, neither do any of my friends.  But it still tastes great.  Inhaling it is harmful, and is worse than cigarettes, because it has a lot more smoke.   But huffing and puffing and just tasting it is harmless, and it's common among Arabs.  It also doesn't have the cigarettes addictive substances in it.

As to the picture, let me see to it insha'Allah dear brother.  I'll re-evaluate the whole article's contents this weekend, insha'Allah.  And other articles as well, insha'Allah.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

Peace
Perhaps i already told you this before Osama, but the evidence which shows the beard is not compulsory is in this article:
http://islamicsystem.blogspot.com/2007/06/fiqh-of-growing-and-shaving-beard.html
I also recommend reading:
Examining the dalils for the beard
written by Kevin Abdullah Karim
It is available for you on google however i downloaded the article and could EMAIL it to you if you cant obtain it.
Sorry for saying this Mr. Abdullah but you NEED to put more info on that beard article, because your info cant get across if you JUST put those evidence. You need extra info. You could read those articles and paraphrase the information in that article. God knows best

Almighty Allah knows best, but it won't harm you to leave your beard to grow both ways. Honestly, I believe it is a Wajib. Most scholars and Imams, if not all, agree it is Wajib too.

Dear the one and only God
Although i believe that grawing the beard is NOT mandatory, we should note that MANY, although not all, scholars say that growing the beard is mandatory.
But, to me, the evidence for me suggest that it is Sunnah Mustahab
i recommend your read the article link i posted
http://islamicsystem.blogspot.com/2007/06/fiqh-of-growing-and-shaving-beard.html
he document i recommended (It is available for you on google however i downloaded the article and could EMAIL it to you if you cant obtain it, just ask)
also you should see al azhar's position.
They all say it is recommended not Mandatory
I would like to say 2 things, most great scholars had different opinions on this topic, and scholars could be wrong, this goes to both sides of the argument. God knows best
Peace

As'salamu Alaikum my beloved Muslims,

I just updated the website and reduced the pictures to an-almost invisible state.  One would have to click on them to see them.  If this is not good enough, then please let me know.  The article is located at: www.answering-christianity.com/biblical_christians_and_open_sexuality.htm.

I am very sorry for not doing it earlier.  I honestly forgot about it :(.  I meant to do it much earlier but it slipped out of my mind.  I do have the to-do list and projects documented, but I forgot to add this one.

My sincere apologies.

May Allah Almighty bless you!  Ameen.

Take care,
Osama Abdallah

Then you're not doing anything wrong . Actually , if you don't shave you would be harming yourself which is forbidden in Islam . It can differ by the condition of every person .
