« on: October 08, 2016, 06:36:57 PM »
Assalyum alekum Osama Abdullah
I'm new in this blog
I'm an Egyptian Muslim
I really would appreciate your help in this verse
The verse in Surah Al talaaq
verse 4
الائى لن يحضن
Does that mean the Quran allows Child Marriage?
Many Islamic Websites like Islam web and Islamic Scholars like Ibn taymiyah say that
Is this True?
This verse had me confused for a long time and I really would appreciate your help

First of all, "child marriages" as in mere marriage contracts without consummation of marriage, which in practical terms makes it no more than an engagement - although discouraged - are nevertheless allowed in Islam, if they serve some benefit to the child. According to at-least some scholars, at the time of maturity, these "children" have the right to go along with the marriage or to part ways which would require a simple verbal rejection.

Regarding, Qur'an 65:4, although it is true that some Muslim scholars do use this as allowance for marrying children, this is not the only interpretation. For details see: quransmessage.com/articles/verse 65-4.htm

Wa Alaikum As'salam dear brother,

Welcome to the board.  May Allah Almighty continue to strengthen you faith in Islam.  Ameen.

In regards to your question, the Glorious Quran commands the Muslims to not marry their male and female children until they are fully ready for marriage both physically and emotionally.  The following links thoroughly prove this from the Glorious Quran:

Noble Verse 65:4 that you mentioned is also thoroughly addressed in the first article.

Take care,

why waiting for 3 months ? to know if there are a baby or not , and to give yourself a period of time to think of what you have done and try to get back for each other and maybe some other wisdom and teachings.

"who have it not" ( Allah didn't say who didn't reach menstruation or marriageable age yet, he said who menstruated not, didn't say not those who didn't menstruated yet.)

these are some possible cases for who didn't have menstruation for (NISA')WOMEN AFTER DIVORCE
( he said women(nisa') , in verse 2-222 he said not to intercourse women when they menstruate, who is the women(nisa') ? you can notice that she is a women who menstruating during marriage life not a girl)

I.E.( 2 sisters the bigger with no breast , the younger with breast , they will call the breasted girl a women , as our mothers saying it when they see her daughter private parts are glowing , ( oooh you became a bride dear) ).

24-31 "....or children who have not yet attained knowledge of women's private parts...."
what is the private part(awarat) of a women ?

so who is the women in the Qur'an and Islam? 1-the one that reach menstruation, and 2-the one that have a private parts 3- have reached marriageable age  4- have a sound of judgement

so women late period possible cases after divorce will be:-
1- she is a pregnant, and they still doesn't know that she is carrying a child so she have to wait 3 months not to marry another until they make sure.
2- she have it not because of breastfeeding.
3- she have it not because she is ill.
4- some girls doesn't have menstruation until 18y/o and sometimes 20 y/o but every other things(private parts) are fully grown and glowing. (like these matters have parents and girl herself to decide weather to get married or not, but have to get married fast if it's the only solution)
5- some women her period starts then suddenly stops for years.

all of these must wait 3 months.

what if Allah have set a particular age for marriage ?

1- he stopped the job of the parents judgement and free well to know when is the best age to let their daughter get married, and when she can be ready to tell them i'm ready to marry that man, but in that age of deception and TV and complications girls become hard to understand their feelings naturally. I.E (someone who have 2 daughters the bigger one sometimes late in maturity then the younger sometimes reach maturity in earlier age than her bigger sister)

2- if Allah have specified an age it means he created all humans beings alike and contradicted verse (11:118).( so believe me in that time our opposites can make another media deception to let girls marry in different ages just to discredit Qur'an , like they make gay marriage possible in less than a year to contain their cross fruits and big failure, and they will say that Allah is not just as we are)

3- if Allah gave an age while he created man kind in differences and different circumstances That he made, then Allah have abused who reached marriage age earlier of who can't wait to marry than others who grow slower, and that will compel these people to go and do fornication which he prohibited.  then our opposites will say that Allah doesn't know how his products functions and doesn't know their life matters and circumstances he made.

4- and they will say that Allah didn't put in consideration human evolution, he doesn't know that there will be different life styles from civilization to civlization and empire to empire and Age to Age , climate to climate , different circumstances, so they will say that Allah doesn't know the future.

(so either way our opposites who worship their devil/pharaoh and wanna make him the king of earth are just doing all this to be your god, and to keep you away from the only God , and to turn you to a machine and do whatever they wants you to do)

simply they doesn't want another Muhammad ALI.

As'salamu Alaikum dear brothers,

Very good answers dear brothers Khdrb and AhmadFarooq.  Jazakum Allah Khayr.

Just in case some brainless robots from our hardcore Muslims try to answer by saying that our Mother in Islam, Aisha, was 9 when the Prophet consummated the marriage with her, then I too can marry my daughter when she is 6 and have her be consummated when she's 9, then answer him by saying:

1-  Aisha's age is not an Islamic Law.

2-  Aisha was married to the Prophet when the Glorious Quran was incomplete.

3-  The Glorious Quran clearly commands the Muslims to marry their children when they are physically and emotionally ready for marriage.  Today a 9-year old most likely wouldn't be ready.  I am not saying it would be totally forbidden, but after thoroughly examining the Glorious Quran, I can tell you that most likely Allah Almighty would not be pleased with it.  People today are much more softer and less physical than people during the primitive ages, where everything about their lives was very tough and very physical, and their lifestyle was always in a survival mode; not cozy and comfy like ours, especially to our vulnerable children.

4-  There is no indisputable proof that Aisha was actually 9 when the Prophet consummated his marriage with her.  Some studies suggest that she was as old as 18.  But even if she was 9, this is not a set-in-stone Law.

5-  Not all Sunnah is applicable.  For example,

(a)-  The Prophet used to use rocks to clean himself after finishing the call of nature.  Not toilet paper.
(b)-  The Prophet used to clean his mouth, teeth and breath using a wooden Siwak.  Not a tooth brush and tooth paste.
(c)-  The Prophet used to ride on his camel.  His camel even determined the location of the Mosque in Medina to be built.
(d)-  The Prophet used to wear black makeup around his eyes.
(e)-  The Prophet used to wear an iron ring.
(f)-  The Prophet used to grow his hair to should level.

None of these are carved in stone today.  The overwhelming majority of Muslims do not follow them.  So the argument that Aisha was 9 is weak.  It is not an Islamic Law that must be followed, and her age is doubtful anyway.  Again, please visit:

I hope this helps, insha'Allah.

Osama Abdallah
