GENERAL TOPICS | BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS / Feminism ≠ Equality
« on: September 21, 2015, 04:40:12 PM »
Salam Alykum Warahmatullah,

I would like to start by sharing a joke with you which I found on a brother’s facebook page.

Feminist 1: If men are allowed to grow beards! THEN WE CAN TOO!
Feminist 2: YEAH!!... Wait what?

Apart from mere amusement, this joke underlines the psyche of the modern feminist movement. What started out as a movement for the rights of women in the western world, has now transformed into a godless, man-hating, self-privileged phenomenon treading across the world. This transformation of feminism started early on from the second wave feminism and gradually became worse during the third wave feminism movement.

Feminism is defined as the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men.

But the important question is, who will define and decide this equality?

For the average agnostic, atheist or secular person this notion of equality comes from the human faculties. Their sense of what’s right and what’s wrong based on their experience or observations.

And so as a result these decision makers concluded women can dress any way they like (and most of the time they leave nothing to the imagination), they can have abortions if they don’t “feel" like having a child, they are encouraged to embrace their sexuality i.e. be promiscuous, They are told whatever men can do they can do as well, so now the children are growing up without the nurturing care of a mother because mommy has to work.

But as with all godless movements modern feminism has also started crumbling beneath its own weight and it’s not due to religious people but due to people who describe themselves as secular, atheist, agnostic & even people who hate religion; people like Christopher Hitchens or Richard Dawkins.

The problem these people see with modern feminism is that it supports female privilege rather than equal rights for females, which is in fact true. If you look at the modern western feminist she complains about a pay gap or violence against women & at the same time they say that men aren’t supposed to hit women even if the woman is the aggressor and the man only hits back in self-defense.

These people say to the feminist that this is not a movement for equality if it advocates such sort of ideas because it is a fact that pay gap is not because of gender but rather because on average men take more dangerous jobs than women such as in construction, mining or in the army and men are willing to work longer hours than women because women prefer to spend more time with their families.

Furthermore gender egalitarians say that it is in the essence of true equality that men treat aggressive or violent women like they would treat other men when it comes to self-defense. So if a women provokes or assaults you then you have the right to defend yourself with physical force if necessary. If you go easy on a woman just because she is a woman then you are a sexist because your behavior implies that a woman is not equal to you in strength or in the ability to defend herself.

There is even a video of this particular theme which went viral, which shows what happens when men treat women with absolute equality. The most remarkable sentence I heard from the video was from a person who hits a women back after she hits him & a bystander yells that's a female & he replies“I don’t care if she wanna be a man I will treat her like a man.” (I didn’t share the video because of its obscene nature.)

In essence these people who are against feminism argue that you cannot have it both ways either you go for absolute equality or act as a woman which are more suited to a nurturing role rather than competing with men and keep your privileges.

Alhamdulillah for Islam;

Unlike the modern secular civilization, which is undergoing this clash of the social order due to man-made ideologies, the laws of Islam are not from the perception of the limited human mind but from the infinite wisdom of Allah swt.

Islam gave rights to women and men associated with their roles in society and these rights became a part of the Islamic law. Although these laws are mostly ignored in today's “Muslim countries” but that is not the fault of the deen but rather the failure of the people to implement it.

But this failure has led to this corrupt feminist movement to rear its ugly head in the Muslim ummah & as result the feminist blames Islam for oppression of Muslim women.

Islam recognizes that men & women are not the same but are complementary to each other.  They are equal in the sight of Allah but not similar.

 وَلَيْسَ الذَّكَرُ كَالْأُنْثَىٰ
...And the male is not like the female [Al Imran:36]

هُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ لِبَاسٌ لَهُنّ
They are clothing for you and you are clothing for them [Al Baqarah:187]

Women don’t have to compete with men to show that they are capable as men because we as muslims now that they are honored in Islam as mothers, daughters & wives. Ofcourse there were examples of women like Khadija R.A who was a business woman and Umm Imarah R.A who fought bravely to protect the Prophet ﷺ during the battle of Badr. But their priorities were always towards their roles as caregivers first.

Islam gave women many rights which the modern feminists only acquired recently. Such as the right of inheritance, the right to be recognized as an individual of the state, the right to choose your spouse the right to divorce your spouse, along with many others.

Because Islam is the complete religion it does not only grant rights to females it also grants rights to males i.e. rights according to their roles. The laws of Islam were perfected by Allah and do not need any man-made laws to complement them but the modern feminist believes that it is a woman who knows what’s best for her not Allah. Feminists believe that a woman has the right to do anything she wants with her body & Allah has no right to tell her what she should and should not do.

Not surprisingly the most influential figures of the 3rd wave feminist movement were Jewish women, who advocated same sex marriage.

Now this western feminist movement has taken roots in the Islamic world with something it calls Islamic feminism, which supports mixed gatherings & says the hijab is a symbol of subjugation of women and is not Islamic, & of-course they bring up ayahs from the Quran, with their personal interpretations, which helps them to get their point across & they even use Ahadith, regardless of if they are Sahih, Hasan, Daif, Mawdu or anything else, as long as it serves their purpose.

It is quite ironic that these feminist say that they are against objectification of women yet they support wearing clothes which accentuates every part of their bodies, transforming them into eye-candy for men. They become mere objects of sexual fantasies by this so called liberation.

And now anything the western feminist movement throws at these women they embrace it in the name of feminism whether it be about forsaking the hijab or shaming men who have or want multiple wives, all of which have been ordained by Allah.

In reality modern feminism is nothing more than a sham to pit women against men, which only benefits those who stand to gain from exploiting both genders and creating social chaos.

Unfortunately this movement has already infected a lot of the muslim youth because of its popularity & the secular indoctrination they receive in their "muslim countries".

If modern feminism isn’t the very reflection of the conditions that the ummah will face during the coming of dajjal then it is at least one of the most potent tools of Satan which is taking us in that direction, where a man will have to coercively restrain his mother, daughter, sister, aunt so that they may be safe from the fitna dajjal brings.

Dajjal will come to this pond in Marriqanaat - a valley in Madinah - and most of those who go out to him will be women, until a man will come to his mother-in-law, his mother, his daughter, his sister, and his aunt, and he will tie them up strongly for fear that they will go out to him [Narrated by Ahmed]

And Allah knows best.

Assalamu alaikum brother Khan and JazakaAllahu khair for the poem.

As for medieval Muslim apologetics, I am eager to read or to know about some books I recently found out about. from here http://islamqa.info/en/209007

Quote
Hence many scholars read these books for the purpose of debating with the Jews and Christians. Among the most famous of those who refuted the Jews and Christians by quoting their own books to them were: Ibn Taymiyah, in his book al-Jawaab as-Saheeh liman baddala Deen al-Maseeh (The Correct Response to those who altered the Religion of the Messiah); Ibn al-Qayyim in his book  Hidaayat al-Hayaara fi Ajwibat al-Yahood wa’n-Nasaara (Guiding to the Confused in Refuting the Jews and Christians); Ibn Hazm in his book al-Fasl fi’l-Milal wa’l-Ahwa’ wa’n-Nahl (Discussion of the Views of Different Religions, Groups and Sects); al-Qurtubi in his book al-I‘laam bima fi Deen an-Nasaara min al-Fasaad wa’l-Awhaam (Highlighting what the Religion of the Christians contains of Corruption and Myths); and many others.

It also states Ibn Qayyim, but I am specially interested in Ibn Taimiyyah's book "Al-Jawaab as-Saheeh liman baddala Deen al-Maseeh (The Correct Response to those who altered the Religion of the Messiah)". Because you know, he was a brilliant scholar and I want to know what he said in the book! Have you read it?

Also, the link I gave above is very important for those who are studying the bible and debating infidels.

Allah Hafiz

Wa Alykum Salam wa Rahmatullah,

No brother Tamheed i did not yet read it but i will as soon as i get the opportunity InshaAllah.

Salamat

Bless you bro. I was looking for the Hadiths and proof that they are Dhaef.  ;D

You are very much welcome brother.

I came across something else quite interesting & mysteriously suspicious: On the very same day of Laylatul Bara the Ithna ‘ashariyyah shias celebrate the birthday of Imam Mahdi...

Salam wa Rahmatullah

Salam Alykum wa Rahmatullah

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to praise Allah as He deserves to be praised, then he would say: 'Whomsoever Allah (SWT) guides, none can lead him astray, and whomsoever Allah sends astray, none can guide. The truest of word is the Book of Allah and best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad. The worst of things are those that are newly invented; every newly-invented thing is an innovation and every innovation is going astray, and every going astray is in the Fire.' [Sunan An-Nasa'i]

This hadith is self explanatory but before I begin my explanation, I would like you to watch a video which shows the similarities between all bid'ah, i.e, The rationale behind it and circumstances in innovations found in Islam & Christianity or any other religion for that matter.

Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Hdd0g8Hj4Y

Lets look at what are the basis of this celebration of laylatul bara.

There are actually 2 ahadith which are used by the supporters of Shab e Bara/Laylatul Bara:

1. "I could not find the Messenger of Allah one night. So I left and found him at Al-Baqi. He said: 'Did you fear that you had been wronged by Allah and His Messenger?' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! I thought that you had gone to one of your wives.' So he said: 'Indeed Allah, Mighty and Sublime is He, descends to the lowest Heavens during the night of the middle of Sha'ban, to grant forgiveness to more than the number of hairs on the sheep of (Banu) Kalb." [at-Tirmidhi]

2. “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘When it is the night of the middle of Sha’ban, spend its night in prayer and observe a fast on that day. For Allah descends at sunset on that night to the lowest heaven and says: ‘Is there no one who will ask Me for forgiveness, that I may forgive him? Is there no one who will ask Me for provision, that I may provide for him? Is there no one who is afflicted by trouble, that I may relieve him?’ And so on, until dawn comes." [Ibn Majah]

Hadith number 1 is classified as Da'if (weak) & hadith number 2 is classified as Mawdu (fabricated).

Furthermore other ahadith which are graded as Sahih are in conflict with these hadiths for example:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (p.b.u.h) said, "Our Lord, the Blessed, the Superior, comes every night down on the nearest Heaven to us when the last third of the night remains, saying: "Is there anyone to invoke Me, so that I may respond to invocation? Is there anyone to ask Me, so that I may grant him his request? Is there anyone seeking My forgiveness, so that I may forgive him?" [Sahih Al Bukhari]

So by simple logic you can see that the 2 ahadith used for propagating the bidah of shabaan are in clear conflict with the rest of well established ahadith and should be steered clear of.

Here are some opinions of reputed scholars regarding 15th of shaaban:

Muhammad ‘Abd al-Salaam al-Shuqayri said: Imam al-Fatni said in Tadhkirat al-Mawdoo‘aat: Among the innovations that have been introduced on “Laylat an-Nusf”  (mid-Sha‘baan) is al-Salaat al-Alfiyyah, which is one hundred rak‘ahs in which Soorat al-Ikhlaas is recited ten times in each rak‘ah, offered in congregation; they pay more attention to this than to Jumu‘ah and Eid prayers, although there is no report concerning it, except da‘eef (weak) and mawdoo‘ (fabricated) reports, and we should not be deceived by the fact that these reports were quoted by the authors of al-Qoot and al-Ihya’ and others, nor should we be deceived by what was mentioned in Tafseer al-Tha‘labi, that it is Laylat al-Qadr. End quote.

Al-‘Iraaqi said: The hadeeth about the prayer on Laylat al-Nisf (mid-Sha‘baan) is false. Ibn al-Jawzi narrated it in al-Mawdoo‘aat (which is a compilation of fabricated hadeeths):

Chapter on the hadeeth, prayer and supplication on Laylat al-Nisf:

The hadeeth, “When the night of ‘nisf Sha‘baan’ (mid-Sha‘baan) comes, spend the night in prayer and fast on that day” was narrated by Ibn Maajah from ‘Ali. Muhashiyyah said: (It was also narrated) in al-Zawaa’id. Its isnaad is da‘eef (weak) because of the weakness of Ibn Abi Basrah, of whom Ahmad and Ibn Ma‘een said: He fabricates hadeeth. End quote.

Praying six rak‘ahs on Laylat al-Nisf with the intention of warding off calamity, having a long life and being independent of people, and reciting Ya-Seen and offering du‘aa’ in between that -- there is no doubt that this is something that has been introduced into the religion and is contrary to the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). The commentator on al-Ihya’ said: This prayer is well known in the books of later Sufi masters, but I have not seen any saheeh report in the Sunnah to support it and the connected du‘aa’. Rather this is the action of some shaykhs. Our companions said: It is makrooh to gather on any of the nights mentioned in the mosques or elsewhere. Al-Najm al-Ghayti said, describing spending the night of al-Nisf min Sh‘baan (mid-Sha‘baan) praying in congregation: That was denounced by most of the scholars of the Hijaz, including ‘Ata’ and Ibn Abi Mulaykah, the fuqaha’ of Madinah and the companions of Maalik. They said: All of that is an innovation (bid‘ah) and there is no report to suggest that the Prophet spent that night in praying in congregation or that his Companions did that either. Al-Nawawi said: The prayers of Rajab and Sha‘baan are two reprehensible innovations. End quote from al-Sunan wa’l-Mubtada‘aat, p. 144

Al-Fatni (may Allah have mercy on him) said, after the comments quoted above: The common folk are so infatuated with this prayer that they stored up a lot of fuel for it and many evils resulted from it, and many transgressions are committed which we do no need to describe. (It is so bad that) the close friends of Allah feared His punishment and fled into the wilderness. The first time this prayer occurred was in Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem) in 448 AH. Zayd ibn Aslam said: We never saw any of our shaykhs or fuqaha’ saying that Laylat al-Baraa’ah (15 Sha‘baan) had any superiority over other nights. Ibn Dihyah said: The hadeeths about the prayer on Laylat al-Baraa’ah are fabricated and one has an interruption in the isnaad. Anyone who acts upon a report which is known to be false is a servant of the Shaytaan.

End quote from Tadhkirat al-Mawdoo‘aat by al-Fatni, p. 45

See: al-Mawdoo‘aat by Ibn al-Jawzi, 2/127; al-Manaar al-Muneef fil Saheeh wa’l-Da‘eef by Ibn al-Qayyim, p. 98; al-Fawaa’id al-Majmoo‘ah by al-Shawkaani, p. 51

But apart from all the bickering and arguments why is it so difficult for people to see that what they are doing is hacking away at their Imaan. Look at all the grave worship, music and intermingling of the sexes that goes on during these "celebrations".

They claim that they do it for the pleasure of Allah and to show their respect to the Prophet Pbuh.

They should be asked that if the Prophet Pbuh or his companions RA did not perform this act then do they think that they know better than the Prophet Pbuh?
Or do they want to imply that the Prophet forgot to teach these forms of Ibadah?
Or perhaps they came up with better ways of worshiping Allah and honoring the Prophet Pbuh than the Prophet Pbuh taught us himself?

Quote
إذا مات الإله بصنع قوم....أماتوه فما هذا الإله
If the Lord was murdered by some people's act,
what kind of god is this?

It was a suicidal act done by the two gods that manifested into human form and spirit/bird form. Together they appear on earth to do a suicidal act so that they can show Love and Grace to human. However, those that do not accept the human god's suicidal act will not be saved and send to Hell.

So technically The Gods committed suicide together but the suicide they committed involved other people torturing and then killing one of them, sounds more of an homicide than suicide.

Quote
وهل أرضاه ما نالوه منه....فبشراهم إذا نلوا رضاه
We wonder! Was He pleased by what they did to Him?
If yes, blessed be they, they achieved His pleasure,
وإن الذي فعلوه فيه....فقؤتهم إذا أوهت قواه
But if He was discontented,
this means their power had subjugated Him!
وهل بقي الوجود بلا إله....سميع يستجيب لمن دعاه
Was the whole entity left without a Sustainer,
so who answered the prayers?

Christ worshiper believe that in human form, the human god will be like mere human thus he will rely to Father in heaven. Thats why human god said to Father, Why have You forsaken (altho this dialogue was just a well planned act by the human god). The purpose of him doing suicide was to liberate sins , to show Love. Despite all that Love, during the 2nd coming during the iron rod ruling, Christ worshiper said those that were not saved by their human-god due to them opposing his words will be sent to Hell imprisoned with Satan.

So if 1 or 2 of the 3 gods died is it really a suicide or even a sacrifice for that matter?  if he is only a mere human when he is human why does his sacrifice matter? Why would a part of God call out to himself when he knew what was supposed to happen? why not just say that I am God you will crucify me but i will return after 3 days? That would've had more impact.
So technically an entity innocent of sins was condemned to death because of the sins of others. Is this the type of lesson that God wants to give to humanity? that its ok to kill someone as long as you're saved from condemnation because of it?
And the question remains was it good or bad that the jews crucified Jesus Pbuh? because in the end that is what lead to liberation from sins.

Quote
وهل خلت الطباق السبع لما....ثوى تحت التراب وقد علاه
Were the heavens vacated,
when He laid under the ground somewhere?
وهل خلت العوالم من إله....يدبر ها وقد سمرت يداه
Were all the worlds left without a God,
to manage while His hands were nailed?

The Father is still up there for He is the superior one. But in the Greek book, human god shall be regarded as equal to Father's status.

Then its not really a sacrifice by definition if he was still up there.

A crying, thirsty, bleeding human crying my lord my lord why have you forsaken me?( not: o why have i forsaken myself) & of-course this is before his mother breast fed him, clothed him,  and took care of his needs when he was unable to do so. So keeping this in mind, how is he equal to the superior God up there in status or otherwise?

Quote
وكيف تخلت الأملاك عنه....بنصرهم وقد سمعوا بكاه
Why did not the angels help Him,
when they heard him while he wailed?
وكيف أطاقت الخشبات حمل الإله....الحق شد على قفاه
How could the rods stand to bear the True Lord
when He was fastened,
وكيف دنا الحديد إليه حتى....يخالطه ويلحقه أذاه
How could the irons reached Him and [had] His body pinned?
وكيف تمكنت أيدي عداه....وطالت حيث قد صفعوا قفاه
How could His enemies' hands reach Him and slap His rear,
وهل عاد المسيح إلى حياة....أم المحيي له ربٌ سواه
And was Christ revived by himself, or was the Reviver another god?

In human form, the human god will be limited in ability despite having aid from Holy Spirit. Indeed Father is the superior god. However, in the Greek book, human god and Spirit shall be regarded as equal to Father's status in aspect of worship.

So despite being a human god and having aid from the holy spirit (another form of god) and the third superior one watching from above, they were still unable to overcome their enemies? How are they equal again? in helplessness?

Quote
ويا عجبا لقبر ضم رباً....وأغجب منه بطن قد حواه
What a sight it was, a grave that enclosed a god,
Stranger still is the belly that confined Him!
أقام هناك تسعا من شهور....لدى الظلمات من حيض غذاه
He stayed there for nine months in utter darkness, fed by blood!
وشق الفرج مولودا صغيرا....ضعيفا فاتحا للثدى فاه
Then he got out of the womb as a small baby,
Weak and gasping to be breast-fed!
ويأكل ثم يشرب ثم ياتي....بلازم ذاك هل هذا إله
He ate and drank, and did what that naturally resulted,
Is this [what you call] a god?

Christ worshiper accept the concept of manifestation of god into human appearance on earth. For they like their human god performed as suicidal act to liberate sins. This is a god that shows Love.
However, they also believe that god of Love will return to rule with an 'iron rod'. Human god will form an empire with Christ worshiper from Israel to rule the world. Those that oppose the word of human god will be sent to Hell imprisoned with Satan.

What is a human god? It is something like a Devil angel or Pious sinner or frozen fire. Its an oxymoron. If he was human then how could he be god if he was god how could he be human? Would you believe in the existence of a devil angel? So to show love God killed the "human god" although he did nothing wrong and the people who actually killed, raped or robbed were exonerated just by accepting this sacrifice. What sort of justice is that? where the victims and the criminal have no distinction as long as the criminal accepts this sacrifice. But i guess sinning is important otherwise the sacrifice would be for nothing.

So Christ-worshiper, open your eyes,
This is the Beginning and this is the End.
[/center][/b]

The cross is a symbol of Love from a god that liberated sins by doing a suicide. However the Love will not last long. Those that the human god cannot save, will be sent to hell during the second coming as Christ worshiper had believed based on the Greek books.

Did Jesus revere the cross?
A device used to torture and kill a god is a symbol of love? Then by that logic why not revere the people who tortured and killed Jesus? After all they were the ones who crucified him. Why not call Judas a saint?

Salam Alykum Warahmatullah

I had many questions about christianity including the cross, because i thought how come  a device used for torturing and killing a God became a symbol of reverence?

O Christ worshiper is a very eloquent yet very logical poem by the medieval Islamic scholar Ibn Qayyim Al Jawziyya. It asks many questions  about the very foundations of Christianity. The poem shows how self contradicting christianity is and the paradox around which its core beliefs exist.

Salam Wa Rahmatullah,

The whole premise of this argument is based on the assumption that the Prophet Muhammad SAW was inspired by the devil, which on its own seems rather silly because if he was inspired by the devil then why would every chapter of the book given by the devil start start with أعوذُ بِٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ ?

Furthermore The Quran tells us to enjoin good and forbid evil, it also says that satan is a clear enemy of mankind. Why on earth would satan say that about himself if he was inspiring Prophet Muhammad SAW?

The Quran & bible prohibit falling into sins but unlike the Quran, the bible does not provide solutions to the problems created by satan.

For example both Quran and Bible condemn adultery and fornication but it is the Quran which genuinley provides solutions.

Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: And Allah is well acquainted with all that they do [An-Nur:30]

Why would satan curse himself and put these measures to pevent people from sinning and encourage charity, feeding the poor or caring for orphans & widows?

If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come. [Mark 3:24-26]

Regarding these so called proofs

Look at the hypocrisy, Because believing in Allah without associating partners with him entitles Muslims to Jannah it is considered vile. What they forgot to mention is that the bible gives a complete free pass to murderers and adulterers, rapists and other sinners as long as they accept Jesus PBUH as their lord and they can all go to heaven. But Muslims do not have that luxury. A muslim who sins will probably go to hell and is only entitled to enter heaven on the basis of his faith when he has completed the period of his punishment. This is ultimate justice.

Non muslims make a choice to reject Allah and they have to live with the consequences of those choices. This is free will.

Athiests, Christians, Jews and polytheists commit shirk a sin that Allah will never forgive, A muslim on the other hand will be rewarded for not comitting shirk but that does not mean he will automatically be absolved of all his/her sins.

I shall bring out of the Fire the one who possesses half a mustard seed of belief. [Tirmidhi]

The  person using these ahadith is clearly looking at Muhammad SAW with glasses of christian divinity, and is trying to show that Muhammad SAW was not some how 'divine'. These Christians miss the point, Muhammad SAW never claimed divinity. He was more like Moses pbuh than the biblical Jesus pbuh. The prophet SAW was the perfect Human, but was human, and all of these ahadith point to that, that is how a normal human would react. It was after the first revelation that prophet Muhammad SAW was told he was a prophet. This shows his humility and humbleness.

The Christians on the other hand use their corrupt scriptures to define how a prophet should react to a revelation, claiming that prophets recognize angels or have unseen knowledge about God and his commands. so why then when angels came to Lot PBUH he kept referring to them as men? And weren't the Angels following Gods command to the letter why did they need to know how many people are in Lots's household in order to save them? Genesis:19. Did God need information before he made his decision?

They also say that because Muhammad SAW was purified, this means he was sinful and needed to be purified and therefore cannot be a prophet.

But speaking in terms of Christianity isn't that the core of the christian faith that everyone is born in sin and needs to be purified by accepting God? And What do they have to say about the prophet hood of David AS? who according to their book committed adultery and killed Bathsheba's husband. Samuel:11

Their Scriptures suggest that a Prophet wrestled with God and God asked the prophet's name? Genesis:22 (Didn't God know his name?) "Based on logic alone, the story reeks of error, stupidity and even blasphemy."

The objections raised by this person are not even remotely based on logic and they are trying to judge every action according to their corrupt bible. Logic would entail considering the teachings the prophet SAW brought, and The Quran  by far is superior in every regard to any other religious scripture.

The fact of the matter is that all of the things this guy is objecting to about prophet Muhammad are present 10 fold in the bible for their prophets and are much more bizarre, and you can clearly see from his writing that he is using translated works of arabic trying to "prove" his point. This is not new and has happened through out history and even during the time of the prophet SAW. The Jews, Christian & pagan Arabs said exactly the same things to discredit the Prophet SAW.

They say: "O thou to whom the Message is being revealed! truly thou art mad (or possessed)! [Al-Hijr:6]

But they failed miserably and continue to do so.

They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it. [As-Saf:8]

Salam Aly Kum Wa Rahmahtullah

I observed this over the years and i post a question to you brothers and sisters regarding the nature of Takfeer in recent history and its role as a political tool.

As an example lets consider this: The Ahmadiyya & some Shia groups

The Ahmadiyya are unanimously declared kuffar, yet the kufr they commit is more indirect than direct especially in case of the Lahore Ahmadiyya movement but some groups among the shia commit open kufr such as declaring mere humans to be God, yet Ahmadiyya are considered non muslims but shias are considered to be muslims by the majority of the world's muslim countries.

Why is it so?

Is it because declaring those shia kuffar will result in political strife within and between countries?

It is also interesting to note that the beliefs of those particular shia groups conflict with a majority of the shia and yet they are supported by most Shia governments. Is it simply the enemy of my enemy is my friend ideology?

Please share your thoughts on the matter...

Wa alai kum salam wa rahmatullah hi wabarakatuh,

Yes I definitely agree that the way wikiislam portrays itself is like as if it is a legitimate islamic site. During my discussions with non muslims they used this site as their reference and when i read a few articles it was clear that this was a wolf in sheep's clothing. May Allah reward you for your efforts. Please let us know how can we help.

Salam

Assalamu alaikum dear brother khan,

May Allah bless you for ur wonderful discussion. The dajjal named nationalism and this democracy is indeed rotting our faith and unity. And I 100% support you.

With these tthings, another fitnah has risen from the west named 'secularism', destroying the whole idea of Islamic rule.

Perhaps u know that pious ( :P ) woman named Taslima Nasrin. One of her friends (I cant remember the name, Sumon perhaps and he is a writter) once told her,"QASAM OF SECULARISM! I will protect you."!

Can u imagine? People have started worshipping this thing. I am not telling to just kill the non-muslims or to deprive them of their rights, because I am not a terrorist. Islam tolerates other religions. The greatest example is the Sanad of Madina. But u cant make a hybrid constitution mixing their laws and our laws. A muslim cant think of making a secular state denying the shariah and based on democracy, while Allah clerely says;

"Whoever doesnt judge by the law which Allah has sent, he is a kafir." (5:44)

The only way we can re-establish Islamic rule as a whole in the so called 'Islamic countries' is Daw'ah. May Allah help us all this mission.

Please let me know ur opinion on this.

Allah Hafiz,

Tahmeed

Wa Aly Kum Salam Warahmtullah brother Tahmeed,

These people are examples of simpletons who think that they are doing something that matters or is good but instead end up doing damage & harm to society. And look at how she and the likes of her are rewarded with numerous awards. The reason? she pleased the liberal zionists.

Just look at the ideology she follows... Feminism, an ideology which pits women and men against each other. They make it a competition, they are not happy with what Allah has given them. Feminists say that a woman knows better what is good for her not Allah, they say that Islam is oppressive yet the countries they look up to rate the beauty of a woman according to how much flesh she shows. Don't need to go far to confirm that look up something called a beauty pageant, (miss world, miss universe etc) and they have advertisements where even a man's shaving razor commercial has a half naked woman. When this constant bombardment of suggestive sexual themes leads to some of its viewers to commit rape they ask what went wrong. And people wonder why these western countries have the highest rate of rapes?

To top that some of  these countries which hail themselves as champions of justice & freedom ban our muslim sisters from wearing the hijab, freedom of choice indeed. I guess freedom is only available to you if you choose to wear mini skirts & bikinis.

I agree with you brother. We don't need a hybrid constitution. This deen & its laws were perfected by Allah.

And Allah knows best

Assalamu alaikum, brother khan, may Allah guide our ummah in the right path. I am very glad to read your post. We, muslims, should always be united on quran and sunnah. We should act like one body as Rasul(sm) has told us to. But it is a very sorrowful fact that when we call people to the sovereignty of Allah, as a part of tawheed, they treat us astray and call us kharijees. I read in a blog today, the writer has told that Rasul(sm) and khulafa a rashidin didn't run the khilafat on the basis of sovereignty of Allah, they ran it on the basis of treaties between muslims and non-muslims! If we look into the muslims country, we will see that in the name of democracy we are divided and fighting for power and authority. They are killing their own muslim brothers and sisters in the name of establishing the tagut, democracy. What do you think we muslims should do now by the quran and sunnah?
Reply soon.
Take care.
Abu Abdullah

Wa AlayKum Salam Warahmtullah Brother,

As i mentioned brother Abu Abdullah, educating ourselves about our deen, current affairs and the brief history of the world will help us a lot in recognizing these evils which are hidden in plain sight. We also need to break free of the chains that this zionist financial system ensalves us in.

We can start by educating people logically about the flaws of the current political systems around the muslim world. I mean look at what happened when there were democratic elections in Egypt or Palestine? The muslim brotherhood was immediately overthrown & Hamas was declared as a terrorist organisation.

This is quite clear that the democracy the zionist west wants in islamic states is the one which obeys them unconditionally.

Most of the problem lies in the fact that a huge percentage of the ummah has been unable to recognize the systematic political and financial degradation it is going through just because of our disunity. I mean look around, our muslim brothers & sisters are being murdered, robbed, raped, dying of disease and hunger & we are arguing about what position should our hands be during salah. Just look at our priorities. Name one "Islamic" nation that took a military stand against israel or zionist west (by stand i mean a genuine military operation not empty threats).

We can use the tools at our disposal according to our capacity to spread awareness. How can people fight an enemy if they are not even aware of its existence? Most importantly we should not believe everything we see on Tv, including the news. A certain amount of skepticism is healthy. Even our religion encourages asking questions & evidence based reasoning.

And dear brother Abu Abdullah even the great Prophets of Allah were mistreated & sometimes even killed when they merely spoke of the haqq, so don't be surprised of some individual's taking offense and calling you names. Keep inviting to the way of Allah with wisdom and beautiful preaching.

The Prophet (SAW) & khulafa (RA) ruled according to the treaties not the law of Allah?

How is that not absurd? They make it sound like that the law of Allah does not allow or is contradicting to honoring of treaties. The fact of the matter is that the The Prophet (SAW) & khulafa ruled according to the commands of Allah and to say something like they ruled only according to the treaties and not based on the sovereignty of Allah implies that the Prophet abandoned or disregarded the revelation/command of Allah. nau'zubillah. Do they even have the slightest of idea what are they accusing the Prophet (SAW)of?  The Prophet (SAW) ruled according to the law of Allah & the Khulafa ar Rashidun loved the Prophet (SAW) dearly & were loyal to the laws of Allah (SWT) till the end of their lives. May Allah be pleased with them all.

The statements in the blog makes it sound like the governance of the Prophet (SAW) & Khulafa (RA) was dependent upon the treaties but it was the other way around. Because of the character of Islam of honoring treaties and its justice to non-muslims, the non-muslims readily entered into mutual agreements with the Prophet (SAW) & Khulafa.

And Allah Knows Best...

Salam Aly kum wa rahmatullah,

Tribalism or its newer version Nationalism is not a new concept. Its been around for centuries & had a considerable impact in shaping today's world and continues to do so.

In old times tribes used their tribal name to exert superiority over others who they deemed inferior & when tribes joined together to form a kingdom then the names of those closest to the ruling elite were considered influential.

This is the fundamental flaw of tribalism it doesn't stop at nation or tribe it divides from the macro level to the micro level ranging from the country to community, from community to caste/race, from race to individuals.

And the basis of this division is not preservation of individual identity, in most cases, but is the belief of superiority because of belonging to a specific country, clan or family.

Although  this was prohibited by the Messenger Of Allah (SAW), it has seemed to crept back into our ummah with a vengeance.

The Prophet (SAW) called Asabiyah, which in english translates to tribalism/nationalism, A coal from the coals of hellfire [Abu Dawud & Tirmidhi]. The prophet (saw) also said "He is not one of us who calls for asabiyah or who fights for asabiyah or who dies for asabiyah." [Abu Dawud]

Apart from prohibition of asabiyah by the prophet (saw), The Quran emphasizes on unity. Our deen emphasizes that during the five daily prayers, where  prince & pauper alike, irrespective of color & caste, all stand shoulder to shoulder & bow down in one direction to the Almighty.

And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided. [Al-Imran:103]

Apart from being a command of Allah to avoid nationalism, lets briefly analyse why nationalism is detrimental.

Pride & Bigotry

This is the most obvious of sins and the sin responsible for the destruction of Iblees (Satan) himself. ...(Shaitaan) said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and You created him from clay."  [Al-Araf:12]

This is the very nature of nationalism. It has a psychology of egotism. Its not hard to observe when you see what happens during those Independence day parades. Usually claims like " Our country will be here till the end of times" or some other conceited statements along the lines of "we are the greatest nation on earth" are made, along with a display of "military might".

This pride is a gateway to shirk. How?

Because actions speak louder than words. On one hand these so called Islamic states declare that their constitution is according to the Quran and sunnah, or in some cases is the Quran  and sunnah, yet they have laws that are legislated upon by the democratic process or by decree of an absolute ruler. Laws which allow ribaa or interest based banking. A sin so grave that Allah & his messenger (saw) declare war on those who are invloved in it and for your information, the economies of almost all these so called Muslim countries run on this ribaa based banking system. A system which makes sure the wealthy become wealthier and the poor become poorer.

These people are making halal what Allah (swt) made haram. Allah (swt) is Al Mulk [The Sovreign] and Al Hakam [The Law giver].  But these states claim sovereignty of their own and make laws which contradict the laws of Allah. This basically implies that they think they know better than Allah and their laws are better substitutes for the laws of Allah.

The Prophet (SAW) clearly stated this about a similar situation in a Hadith & equated it to shirk;

Udai Ibn Hatim said "I came to the Prophet sallalahu alaihi wassalam while I had a cross made from gold around my neck. He said, "يَا عَدِيُّ اطْرَحْ هَذَا الْوَثَنَ مِنْ عُنُقِكَ" "O 'Udai! Remove this idol from yourself!" So I removed it in which I heard him reciting from Surat Bara'ah this ayah,

اتَّخَذُوا أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ أَرْبَابًا مِنْ دُونِ اللهِ

"They have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides Allah" [Tauba: 31]

And once He finished reciting this ayah, Udai commented, "I said, 'They did not worship them.'" The Prophet said,

"Didn't they (rabbis and monks) prohibited the allowed for them (Christians and Jews) and allowed the prohibited, and they (Christians and Jews) obeyed them? I replied, 'Yes'. He said, فَتِلْكَ عِبَادَتُهُمْ "that is their worship." [Tabarani & Tirmidhi]

Simply put Allah gives guidance regarding all matters and his laws are absolute, if someone comes and gives you an alternative to Allah's authority what would you call it?

And do not say about what your tongues assert of untruth, "This is lawful and this is unlawful," to invent falsehood about Allah . Indeed, those who invent falsehood about Allah will not succeed. [Al-Nahl:116]

Furthermore statements like " Our country will be here till the end of times" is a blatant disregard of the knowledge and power of Allah (swt). These sort of people forget that civilizations much more powerful and prosperous then them, who held the same opinion about themselves, were wiped from the face of the earth. The people of Aad & Thamud are one of many examples.

And to make such a statement that a country will be here till the end of times is associating yourself with the knowledge of Allah. Allah calls himself Al Alim ul Ghaib Wa Shahadah [Knower of the unseen & witnessed] and yet these people indirectly make the same claim by believing that they will be around until qiyamah.

Neither can a nation anticipate its term, nor delay it. [Al-Hijr:5]

And for every nation is a [specified] term. So when their time has come, they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede [it] [Al-Araf:34]

National interest

A nation works according to its national interests and not morals. A nation justifies its action according to what it feels (or rather the ruling elite feels) is good for the nation. Which may include attacking other countries killing of multitudes of innocent people and then calling it collateral damage.

So when a muslim nation is almost annihilated because of war and its citizens are dying of hunger and disease, other muslim nations are busy working on their national interests.

In this way millions of muslims present in Palestine, Syria and Iraq become an Arab problem. Kashmir becomes an IndoPak problem, Somalia is an African problem whereas Bosnia and Chechnya are an eastern European problem and the Rhoingya muslims of Burma have no where to go & are massacred in multitudes.

(And in retaliation, all the Muslim countries have changed their Facebook display pictures to show solidarity with the victims.)

There is no unified response from the muslim countries, no sanctions or consistent diplomatic boycott of any sort because they don't want to undermine the national interests of their own countries by ruining their diplomatic ties with those countries which are responsible for the death of millions of muslims.

Some may argue that muslim countries send aid. Aid is for the victims who survived & who still live under the constant threat of war & persecution. Where is justice for those who were massacred? Aid is of little use unless the forces which threaten the muslim ummah are dealt with and that can't happen when national interests stand in our way.

O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah , even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, Allah is more worthy of both. So follow not [personal] inclination, lest you not be just. And if you distort [your testimony] or refuse [to give it], then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted. [An-Nisa:135]

The leaders of muslim nations are more concerned about the economy and the future of their rule in their respective countries rather than justice for the muslim ummah.

This is what διαίρει καὶ βασίλευε or Divide and Rule has done to us. We have been chronically desensitized to the suffering of our muslim brothers and sisters through meticulous programming.

A number of muslims today are willing to fight for and die for a piece of land that has been handed to us by the Pro-Zionist lobbies, who by the way were the ultimate decision makers for what we get by drawing lines of their liking on a map, so that we may continue to bicker among ourselves & keep working for standards of development and prosperity that they layout before us. This lobbying picked up momentum during world war one and has only become more ruthless as time went by.

Make no mistake nationalism was inserted into the muslim world masked as territorial sovereignty to fragment us. The zionist agenda cannot proceed with their Greater Israel project until they break the barriers of the muslim resistance and the best way to do that is by Divide & Conquer.

Isn't this what today's secular and so called Muslim governments do? They program us to get emotional over our national interests and want us to be proud of our national achievements. They want to harbor a sense of exclusivity in us; a sense of pride. This is a form of materialistic ideology.

There are people who use verses which are misrepresented to the masses to give Asabiyah a free pass, such as the ayah:

O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). [Al-Hujurat:13]

Some people think because this ayah mentions that it is Allah who divided us into nations and tribes, it is then, therefore Ok to be divided along nationalistic or tribal lines. The question is why don't these people ponder upon the first and last parts of this ayah? Which state that you all have the same origin and to whatever tribe/nation or family you belong to, it does not matter to Allah. What matters to Allah is your Taqwa or righteousness.

Secondly people who have this sort of logic of interpreting this ayah to justify nationalism, should be asked, Allah says "it is He who guides and He who misguides whom he wills", then is it ok to be misguided? Of course not. Misguidance is a test of faith from Allah. Just like the fitnah of Asabiyah.

Furthermore nationalistic or tribal ideologies are against the nature of Islam which promotes universal brotherhood. This was stressed by the greatest man (SAW) to walk this earth, in his final sermon, meaning this was the advice he gave to this ummah before his death. So we can infer that this advice was important.

He (SAW) said: ..."O people! Indeed, your Lord is one and your father is one. Indeed, there is no superiority of an Arab over a non-Arab, nor of a non-Arab over an Arab, nor of a white over a black, nor a black over a white, except by taqwa. Have I conveyed the message?" They replied, "You have conveyed it, Messenger of Allah!" Then he said, "What day is this?" They replied, "A sacred day." Then he said, "What month is this?" They replied, "A sacred month." Then he said, "What city is this?" They replied, "A sacred city." He said, "Allah has made your blood and your property (the narrator said, 'I don't know if he said "and your honor" or not') as sacred as this day of yours, in this month of yours, in this city of yours. Have I conveyed the message?" They replied, "You have conveyed it, Messenger of Allah!" He said, "Let whomever is present tell whomever is absent." [Musnad Of Imam Ahmed]

So the question remains Why are we proud of our countries? Is it because they make us better individuals? No. Everything good in you and in the world around is the Fitrah i.e: your sense of Oneness of God, Compassion & Ihsan, otherwise loosely translated as morality. This is what people are born with, which is the nature of Islam. Everything good in this world stems from Islam (submission to Allah). Nationalism or tribalism, on the other hand, have almost nothing good to offer. They are tools exploited by democracies and dictatorships alike to further their ruling agendas and to misguide the masses.

Imagine the alternative; No borders, no race, no color or any other attribute to separate us. All being treated equally as brothers & sisters, according to the law of Allah. No animosity, No competition for superiority. And when threatened by an external force, we as an Ummah would be one formidable unit fighting solely to protect each other for the sake of Allah ,not for political interests.

The Muslims are like one man, if his eyes complains then the whole of him complains, and if his head complains then the whole of him complains [Muslim]

Brothers & Sisters, we are now at a time of great fitnah where everything bad is masked with goodness & everything ordained by Allah is being systematically demonized in societies around the world. As an example consider how much the word 'Jihad' carries a negative connotation and is almost always associated with senseless, unjustified violence and the word jihadi is used as a derogatory term by the media.

Another more social example would be marriage. Consider for a moment how a man with more than one wife is viewed by society and media, whereas on the other hand consider how the relationship between a single unmarried woman and a single unmarried man is depicted by the media, particularly media in these so called Islamic states. One of these relationships is considered or portrayed as romantic & civilized whilst the other is considered barbaric and unjust. You probably know which is portrayed as positive & which is portrayed negatively because this is what secular social programming does. It molds and manipulates opinions.

It is imperative that we spot these tribulations and act accordingly to safeguard ourselves and those around us. Do not believe everything TV channels or governments tell you. Do not follow the society but rather follow the sunnah.

And the best ways to safeguard ourselves & those around us is to educate ourselves about the deen, the political history of the world and the current condition of the world.
