Evolution / Islam and my first post. (Eid Mubarak)
« on: July 05, 2016, 04:02:34 PM »
Hello everyone,

I'd like to thank this team of researchers from the bottom of my heart for helping me with my belief in الله at a time when i was very lost and devastated.

Despite my imaan in الله being strengthed. I am currently at a state of struggling disbelief regarding the theory or (fact) of evolution as many seem to claim. Eventhough, Darwin himself disproved his own theory.

If so,why are people hardcore preaching it ? Now i understand micro-evolution is real since we adapt to our environment but macro seems impossible. I'm a very paranoid person to begin with but from all i see from muslims is they accept it as a fact.

Yet if you deny macro evolution you're suddenly labled as an idiot or radical Christian. Also, if someone could finally put an end to that ignorant richard dawkins claims that would be much appreciated. As im struggling at the moment.

Thank you and Eid Mubarak !

 Assalamu alaikum.

Welcome on this blog brother! I hope that you can have a good time over here ;D I hone stay believe that evolution and Islam can be compatible! No where in the Quran does it deny evolution, but we should still stay away from it. This is ilm al ghayb  (the knowledge of the unknown) so only Allah knows! Who knows?! Maybe the theory can be disproved a 100 years later. Also, atheism has been debunked by science itself. Belief in God is a natural human instinct and this was proven by Oxford.

Eid Mubarak brother  ;D

No issue with evolution = a liquid evolved into solid mass of a body in just 9 months and later grow taller.

But saying that animals like ape and fishes evolves into human. That is nonsense.
As ape/fish can not develop intelligence even after 7 million of years.

Even today, science cant alter the dna of ape or fish to have them highly  intellectual.

@AbdullahAlMadi Thank you,but how exactly can the two be compatible?

@AhmedFarooq I first started watching his videos but it does not feel convincing enough he seems threatened by the topic. Correct me if I'm wrong.

@submit Eventhough science can't alter their dna or monkeys to learn grammar past an elementary level why do SO many of the current top scientists propose evolution as a fact and lable us creationist fools ?

^if any others have answers for that as well please ? It would be helpful.

Thank you :)

The video was appeared fine to me.
One thing that should be pointed out that "Creationism" in the Western context also included the idea that Earth is 10,000 years old, as is apparently discussed in the Bible.

And just to clear up a few things, as far as I've read, the theory of evolution doesn't say that man evolved from apes, it says that they have a common ancestor. Also, nowhere in Islamic scripture is it claimed that after millions of years a creation of Allah cannot increase in its intelligence. However, consciousness or the instinctive understanding of right or wrong is probably a different matter.

In Islam the ones with high intelligence are humans, jinns and angels.
But these three intelligent creations do not evolve from same source/matter.

Creationism is the only explanation that make sense as the Creator defines which creation should posses high intelligence.

@AhmedFarooq oh yeah i forgot that these "scientists" just throw every single religion under the term creationist. Everywhere i look they keep saying "we evolved from apes and theyre our fathers bla bla adam isnt real or the first) ?
So evolution doesnt really pose a problem to Islam is what we're agreeing on ?

@submit i agree i remember reading before. But we cant fall under the term creationist like typical christians. Atleast i hope we're not.

Aside from "human" evolution, Islamic scripture has pretty much no problem. On the matter of humans, there is another interpretation which goes more in line with the modern concepts of evolution. It basically says that Allah ordered the angels to gather mud from different places on Earth and then made a creature, then that creature went through a process. This creature that wen through the process, could have been one, two or a thousand in number. And from them Allah chose one on whom he bestowed consciousness (language, intelligence etc.).

I am unable to explain the interpretation, if you know Urdu I can share the video link.
