Kaaba is a destination for the prayer of Muslims around the whole world . That's a sign of unity . It has nothing to do with idol worship . Otherwise , what are Christians going to say about all these idols in their churches ?

I agree but there's much controversy because in ancient astronomy there were thought to be 7 heavenly bodies, and they say that's why Muslims 'follow the orbit' of these bodies.

They mean the orbits which days were named after them ? Sunday for the sun and Monday for the moon and the others ? A load of nonsense . To blow that claim you just have to tell them the name of days in Arabic which are :

Sabt - Ahad - Ithnain - Thulatha - Arbia - Khamees - Juma

And they have nothing to do with these bodies whatsoever .

As'salamu Alaikum dear brothers,

I'd like to add that the pagans and infidels, who hijacked the Islam that was brought by Abraham and Ishmael - peace be upon them, - don't represent the Truth, nor did they own the House of Allah Almighty, which the two Prophets built.  Much of the pagans' practices, in Arabia and before Islam, that involved the Kaaba originated from Islam, and not Islam originated from them.  So the Religious Rituals that Muslims perform during the Hajja (Pilgrimage) around the Kaaba and in Mecca are originally from Islam, and not pagan practices that Islam adopted:

[004:163]  Surely, WE have sent revelation to thee, as WE sent revelation to Noah and the Prophets after him; and WE sent revelation to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and his children and to Jesus and Job and Jonah and Aaron and Solomon, and WE gave David a Book.

Please visit: www.answering-christianity.com/kaaba.htm.  I hope this helps, insha'Allah (if Allah Almighty is Willing).

Take care,
Osama Abdallah
