Regarding OT

Whenever I discuss something related with ot with Christian all he says is these laws are abrogated are they really abrogated by Jesus Christ or they just make it up ?

Paul declared the OT Laws  were abrogated signified by the resurrection and ascension of Jesus to heaven. Sufficient to only have faith in resurrection of Jesus to achieve salvation,
 the obligatory practices/restrictions performed by Israelites in their daily worship are things of the past.

Paul on what grounds said this like how did he get so much authority and why people believed him ?
P.S:- I have very little knowledge about Paul

All of those Greek books on stories of Jesus were written by Hellenistic authors that were raised with a culture of idolizing multi Gods in human form.
The Hellenistic converts basically migrated from a belief of polytheism of many human looking gods to an almighty singular god with 3 forms or at most three different gods that share equal status.

So it is not that hard for Paul to gain authority among converts of Roman gentiles based on the story of Jesus (a human God) having resurrection and ascension on earth.

If Paul were to invite Roman gentiles to believe in a singular unique God that does not have sculptress on earth or any form of resemblances. Paul will be cursed by the Helenistics Romans as mad man for inventing a new type of God that has no human appearance.
