I know I asked this before, but I just need this last answer. A Christian told me that he knows that marrying children were common but he told me that Muhammad was wrong in marrying Aisha because:

1. Aisha was 6 and she didn't hit puberty and couldn't consent. He told me that she probably didn't even know about marriage.
2. He said Muhammad's example was for all time and in this time child marriage is not appropriate.

I told him about the child marriages in the Bible but he said their example was not for all time.

Muhammad (SAWS) told Aisha that a girl who is silent must be consulted for marriage, according to several hadith.

In fact, when a girl asked the Prophet about her complaint for forced marriage, he supported her rights.

Regarding Aisha's age, she said that she already reached her puberty, so I think that 6 or 9-year-old in a hadith is an error.

Besides, other Muhammad's wives were much older than Aisha whatsoever.

If he was a pedophile, than he would marry all young girls.
