Bukhari 2: O Allah's Messenger (?)! How is the Divine Inspiration revealed to you?" Allah's Messenger (?) replied, "Sometimes it is (revealed) like the ringing of a bell,

Muslim 2114: The bell is the musical instrument of the Satan.

Both of these ahadith are sahih found in the sahihayn and mentioned multiple times.

So one hadith says the bell is from the fevil the next says muhammad saws received revelation in the form of a bell  how do we reconcile these

Wa Alaikum As'salam,

I am not sure what type of "Bell" we're talking about here .  I've read in other Hadiths that the Prophet used to attend weddings and hear music there.  The hadiths that prohibit music are believed to be fabrications by many Muslims, me included.  Of course, all sinful songs and music are forbidden. 

No bell is forbidden.  And the Prophet didn't hear any bell for Revelations.  This is a lie on the Prophet.  You see, unlike the corrupt bible and all other religious books, the Glorious Quran has proven Itself to be The True and Divine Word of Allah Almighty.  You can see it for yourself in the following links to see the Overwhelming Scientific and Numerical Miracles and Prophecies of the Glorious Quran:

I think this Hadis would help us understand what the 'Ringing of a bell' means in that Hadis:

Narrated Aisha:
Al Harith bin Hisham asked the Prophet, "How does the divine inspiration come to you?" He replied, "In all these ways: The Angel sometimes comes to me with a voice which resembles the sound of a ringing bell, and when this state abandons me, I remember what the Angel has said, and this type of Divine Inspiration is the hardest on me; and sometimes the Angel comes to me in the shape of a man and talks to me, and I understand and remember what he says."

The above Hadis says the Angel(A)'s voice sounded like that.

Every bell sound is not music.

Bells intended to be heard over a wide area can range from a single bell hung in a turret or bell-gable, to a musical ensemble such as an English ring of bells, a carillon or a Russian zvon which are tuned to a common scale and installed in a bell tower. Many public or institutional buildings house bells, most commonly as clock bells to sound the hours and quarters.(wikipedia)

When the intention is of music,there is a set of bells used,which you can see from the wikipedia,English ring of bells,carillon etc.Single bell produces only sound,not music.

The hadees mentions Jrs (singular),not juroos (plural) so there is no hint of music,unless the delusional critic is hallucinating.

As'salamu Alaikum,

All rubbish talk from casual conversations, to poetry and songs is prohibited in Islam.  It creates fitnah (trial) among the Muslims and it contributes to misleading instead of guiding to the Truth.

Music can be used for good and beneficial topics.  Even in the classical rock and heavy metal and rap music, there are songs that don't contain a single sinful word, and do contain good messages that Islam does not prohibit.  Such music is halal (lawful).  The first Noble Verse that you used clearly proves this:

Quran: 31:6 And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment.
