[006:152]  ....whenever ye speak, speak justly, even if a near relative is concerned; and fulfil the covenant of God: thus doth He command you, that ye may remember.

[004:135]  O ye who believe! stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to God, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for God can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest ye swerve, and if ye distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily God is well- acquainted with all that ye do.


A Muslim must always be upright and courageous, and always be ready to speak justice and truth irrespective of whom it is against, even if it's against his own self.  So if you know there is truth to be told, then speak up.

Also regarding as witnesses to God, a witness has the moral obligation to speak up and to testify when he/she sees wrong.  Covering up is not something an honest and true witness would do.  So imagine how being a witness to Allah Almighty should be done.  Even if it's a burden, one must do it as long as it brings no serious harm to you and to others.  Must always act wisely.

So for example, if I committed zina in the past, Allah Almighty does not like me to scandalize myself about it.  If I already repented and ceased doing the sin, and it's been dead for many years, then no need to resurrect it unnecessarily to anyone and everyone.  You wouldn't need to know for example if I did.  I wouldn't be required to tell you.  However, if I want to marry a woman and she wants to know about my past, then I would required to tell her, because that would now involve marriage and a commitment from both sides.  The same goes if I hold a position for example that would require for this information to be known. 

If I sin, and my sin caused harm to others, such as lying at work that caused someone to get fired or get demoted while it wasn't their fault, then I am required to speak up openly, repent and amend, and pay up for damages.  Otherwise, my repentance will not be accepted by Allah Almighty.  The Quran makes this condition very clear:

Even if he learned how to read and write, he would still need scribes.  That is assuming that the Prophet learned how to read and write quickly.  I am not sure where you're going with this type of questioning.  The Glorious Quran's Text is Miraculous:

It is totally irrelevant to the Miracle of the Glorious Quran's Text, Numerical and Scientific Miracles whether the Prophet was illiterate or not.  I personally don't really care.  Can any of your infidels refute the Glorious Quran's Numerical and Scientific Miracles?



No one could:

You could not have planned and wrote the Miraculous Text of the Quran.  The 1000s of numerical and scientific Miracles, and the miracle of the Text Itself and how Words are spelled in certain ways to correlate with certain timings or Numerical Miracle, 100% testify that the Book was indeed from Allah Almighty and none else.  Even your best scribes of today would not have been able to preserve the Glorious Quran like this.  The Quran has 1000s of these Miracles.

So instead of derailing your brain and salvation to Hell with rotten infidels' nonsense, try to see the Glorious Quran in Its own Miracle.  Who really cares who was literate and illiterate back then.

The Glorious Quran has the accurate spelling.  The hadiths don't have the accurate spelling.  The Quran's text is miraculous:

Yes that has answered my questions. But one last question, this verse (5:5) says that we can eat the people of the book's food and they can eat ours. But Jews don't believe in eating Halal, they only eat Kosher (if they actually care about their religion). So why does this Verse make a generalization that they can eat our food when they can't (this doesn't apply to Christians, only Jews)?

Again, Islam came to free them from the burdens and chains that GOD Almighty put on them.  Please read the link above.  By this, Allah Almighty made the Muslims' Halal meat lawful for them, and any meat that was previously forbidden for them, such as camel's meat for example.

I read these nonsensical tafsirs in the past.  Some of them are quite ludicrous like their interpretation about the Miracle of the number 19 in the Glorious Quran:

There is no proof for Ibn Kathir's claim.  He just made it up.  Christians are very dismissing to religious customs.  This is due to the hard burdens and chains (as the Glorious Quran describes it) of the Jewish Law that only Islam came to free the Jews from:

Christianity did not free the Jews from the Law.  Christianity is a war on GOD Almighty that turned sinful into lawful and lawful into sinful.  Examples of this are pork became lawful, polygamy became sinful and many other blasphemies:

Christianity boasts that it did not come to invalidate the Jewish Law.  Yet, it tramples all over it!  Only Islam is the Divine Truth, and even the Jews' scriptures thoroughly speak about the New Covenant and NEW SONG, and new Gentile Prophet that will all come from Arabia:
