Was Prophet Muhammad really poisoned?

In short, no.  Even according to the story, the Prophet, peace be upon him, died 4 years after the alleged poisoning.  Also, the story was written in the 8th century.  I don't believe it's true, for Islam had many internal enemies, whom Allah Almighty warned us from in the Glorious Quran.  The Glorious Quran warns the Muslims that there will come people who will attempt to corrupt Islam, and the Islamic scriptures.  But Allah Almighty perfectly preserved His Holy Book, the Glorious Quran, and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.  The following links shed further light upon this:
