The Noble Quran's Divine Claims:
The Noble Quran is filled with scientific statements and
notions. These are statements of Allah Almighty describing how He created
things on earth and in the Universe. What's most amazing is that all of
these scientific statements and notions had been proven to be in
perfect
agreement with science and our modern-day scientific
discoveries. Allah Almighty made the Noble Quran be Prophet Muhammad's
(peace be upon him) Everlasting Divine Miracle and proof for Prophethood.
The Holy Book certainly stood the test of time 1,500 years ago with Its
Claims, Prophecies and Miraculous language eloquence, and it does again and
again in our day today with Its overwhelming agreement with science and
discoveries that were not known to man 1,500 years ago.
Allah Almighty Said:
"We will soon show them Our
signs in the Universe and
inside their selves, until it will become quite clear to them
that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a
witness over all things? (The
Noble Quran, 41:53)"
As I was reading my Precious Holy Quran, I stumbled upon
Noble Verse
12:84 and felt that there was indeed a Great Scientific Statement
in this Precious and Holy Noble Verse. It reads:
12:84
"And He turned away from them, saying, "I
am grieving over Joseph."
His eyes turned white FROM
grieving so much; he was truly sad.
(The Noble Quran,
12:84)"
Notice how Allah Almighty Said that Jacob's eyes turned white
due to his grieve over the loss of Joseph, peace be upon both of them.
Allah Almighty also Said about the Noble Quran:
17:82
"We send down (stage by stage) in the Quran that which
is a healing and a mercy to those who believe: to the unjust it
causes nothing but loss after loss. (The
Noble Quran, 17:82)"
41:44
"Had We sent this as a Quran (in the
language) other than Arabic, they would have said: "Why are not its verses
explained in detail? What! (a Book) not in Arabic and (a Messenger an Arab?" Say: "It is a Guide and a Healing to those who believe; and for those
who believe not, there is a deafness in their ears, and it is blindness in their
(eyes): They are (as it were) being called from a place far distant!"
(The Noble Quran, 41:44)"

The Scientific Discoveries:
The following scientific articles clearly and indisputably
confirm Allah Almighty's Holy and Divine Statement in Noble Verse
12:84:
Article #1:
"
An international patent for Quranic eye drops !
Inspired by the shirt of Yousof (Joseph), an
Egyptian Moslem scientist, unprecedently, managed to manufacture an eye
drop to treat the cataract. How?
Allah the Almighty describes Jacob: “And he turned
away from them, and said, ‘Ah, how great is my grief for Joseph.’ And
his eyes turned white because of the sorrow that he chocked within him.”
(12: 84)
Whiteness, which is termed as cataract, affecting the eye is the
opacity of the eye lens that prevents, partially or totally, the entry
of light into the eye according to the degree of opacity.
Causes
of Cataract:
1-A direct trauma to the eye lens. 2- High temperature. 3-Different types of radiation or flaring light, causing what
is termed “radiation cataract”.
4-Opacity due to senile cataract, and diabetes mellitus
that increases the concentration of fluids around the lens and absorbs its
fluid,
causing the presence of cataract rapidly. 5-Severe grief causes the
increase of adrenalin hormone which in turn causes increase of blood sugar,
which is one of the opacity causes in addition to
coincidence of grieving with weeping.
What Prophet Yousof (PBUH) did, through a
revelation from Allah, was that he asked his brothers to take the shirt
of healing to their father: “Go, take this shirt, and do you cast
it on my father’s face , and he shall recover his sight; then bring me
your family altogether.” (12: 93)
“So, when the caravan set forth, their
father ( Jacob ) said, ‘surely I perceive Yousof’s
scent, unless you think me doting’. They said; ‘By Allah, you are
certainly in your ancient error.’ But when the bearer of good tidings
came to him, and laid it (Yousof's shirt) on his face, forthwith he saw
once again. He said; ‘Did I not tell you I know from Allah that you
know not?’ (12: 94-96)
Hence is the beginning and the guidance!
What healing could be there in the shirt of the
Prophet, Yousof ?
After meditation, the Egyptian Moslem scientist,
Dr. Abdul Basit Sayed Mohammed, did not find except sweat. He
began to search the components of sweat. He immersed lenses extracted
from traditional surgeries of cataract in the sweat. He found out that
a state of gradual transparency is established in these opaque lenses.
The second question was: are all sweat components
effective in such a case or is it only one of its components? He later
realized that one of its main components was the urea (Goandin), and
which could be chemically prepared.
Results of investigations on 250 volunteers
revealed removal of cataract and restoration of sight for more than 90%.
So, inspired by the Surat of Yousof, the Moslem
scientist Dr. Abdul Basit Sayed Mohammed of the National Centre
of Researches in Egypt was able to manufacture an eye drop to treat the
cataract, and obtained two international patents: The European
International Patent in 1991, and the American Patent in 1993.
Allah the Almighty said; “And We send down,
of the Quran, that which is a healing and a mercy to the believers.”
(Israa/82)
(Notice how the Persians thought that
cataract happens
from superstitious reasons, while the Noble
Quran Stated that it happens from a confirmed medical reason. Also,
we do not know if the Persians thought of this before or after Islam.)
"A cataract is a clouding that
develops in the
crystalline lens
of the
eye or in
its envelope, varying in degree from slight to complete
opacity
and obstructing the passage of light. Early in the development
of age-related cataract the power of the lens may be increased,
causing near-sightedness (myopia),
and the gradual yellowing and opacification of the lens may
reduce the perception of blue colours. Cataracts typically
progress slowly to cause
vision loss
and are potentially
blinding
if untreated.[1]
A senile cataract, occurring in the
aged, is characterized by an initial opacity in the lens,
subsequent swelling of the lens and final shrinkage with
complete loss of transparency.[2]Moreover, with
time the cataract cortex liquefies to form a milky white fluid
in a Morgagnian cataract, which can cause severe
inflammation if the lens capsule ruptures and leaks. Untreated,
the cataract can cause
phacomorphic glaucoma.
Very advanced cataracts with weak
zonules
are liable to dislocation anteriorly or posteriorly. Such
spontaneous posterior dislocations (akin to the historical
surgical procedure of
couching)
in ancient times were regarded as a blessing from the heavens,
because some perception of light was restored in the cataractous
patients.
Cataract derives from the
Latin
cataracta meaning "waterfall" and the
Greek
kataraktes and katarrhaktes, from katarassein
meaning "to dash down" (kata-, "down"; arassein,
"to strike, dash"[3]).
As rapidly running
water turns white, the term may later have been used
metaphorically to describe the similar appearance of mature
ocular opacities. In Latin, cataracta had
the alternate meaning "portcullis",[4]
so it is also possible that the name came about through the
sense of "obstruction". Early Persian physicians called the term
nazul-i-ah, or 'descent of the water' - vulgarised into
waterfall disease or cataract - believing such blindness to be
caused by an outpouring of corrupt humour into the eye.[5]In dialect English
a cataract is called a pearl, as in "pearl eye" and
"pearl-eyed".[6]
(Again, notice how the Persians thought
that cataract happens
from superstitious reasons, while the Noble
Quran Stated that it happens from a confirmed medical reason. Also,
we do not know if the Persians thought of this before or after Islam.)
.........
Causes
Cataracts develop from a variety of
reasons, including long-term exposure to ultraviolet light,
exposure to radiation, secondary effects of diseases such as
diabetes, hypertension and advanced age, or trauma (possibly much
earlier); they are usually a result of
denaturation
of lens
protein.
Genetic
factors are often a cause of
congenital
cataracts and positive family history may also play a role in
predisposing someone to cataracts at an earlier age, a
phenomenon of "anticipation" in pre-senile cataracts. Cataracts
may also be produced by
eye injury
or
physical trauma.
A study among
Icelandair
pilots showed commercial airline pilots as three times more
likely to develop cataracts than people with non-flying jobs.
This is thought to be caused by excessive exposure to radiation
coming from
outer space.[7]
Cataracts are also unusually common in persons exposed to
infrared radiation, such as
glassblowers
who suffer from "exfoliation syndrome". Exposure to microwave
radiation can cause cataracts. Atopic or allergic conditions are
also known to quicken the progression of cataracts, especially
in children.[8]
Cataracts may be partial or complete,
stationary or progressive, hard or soft.
There are various types of cataracts,
e.g. nuclear, cortical, mature, and hypermature. Cataracts are
also classified by their location, e.g. posterior (classically
due to steroid use[9][10])
and anterior (common (senile) cataract related to aging).
1. Pathology.
a. a body wound or shock
produced by sudden physical injury, as from violence or accident.
b. the condition produced by
this; traumatism.
2. Psychiatry.
a.
an experience that produces
psychological injury or pain.
b. the psychological
injury so caused.
trau·ma (trô'mə, trou'-) Pronunciation Key
n. pl. trau·mas or trau·ma·ta (-mə-tə)
1. A serious injury or shock to the body, as from violence or an accident.
2.
An emotional wound or shock that
creates substantial, lasting damage to the psychological development of a
person, often leading to neurosis.
3.
An event or situation that causes
great distress and disruption.

Conclusion:
Again, the Noble Quran is filled with scientific
statements and notions. These are statements of Allah Almighty
describing how He created things on earth and in the Universe. What's
most amazing is that all of these scientific statements and notions had
been proven to be in
perfect
agreement with science and our modern-day scientific
discoveries. Allah Almighty made the Noble Quran be Prophet Muhammad's
(peace be upon him) Everlasting Divine Miracle and proof for
Prophethood. The Holy Book certainly stood the test of time 1,500 years
ago with Its Claims, Prophecies and Miraculous language eloquence, and
it does again and again in our day today with Its overwhelming agreement
with science and discoveries that were not known to man 1,500 years ago.
Allah Almighty's Divine Claim in Noble Verse
12:84 is in perfect harmony with Science. Jacob's grief
over losing Joseph caused for his eyes to whiten by Allah Almighty's
Divine Wisdom and Will. It seems that either no one knew or little
knew, who were far and remote from Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, of this Scientific fact.
Yet, we find it in the Noble Quran.
Also, according to the Wikipedia.org article above, we
do not know if the Persians had their superstitious thought before or
after Islam. And while they thought of the whiteness of the eye
superstitiously, Islam came and confirmed that it is due to
medical and psychological reasons. Notice again the
green-colored text in the Noble Verse:
12:84
"And He turned away from them,
saying, "I am grieving over Joseph." His eyes
turned white FROM
grieving so much; he was truly sad.
(The Noble Quran,
12:84)"
And even if the Noble
Quran's information existed before Islam, then to me, this could very
well be a remnant of Divine Truth from previous
Divine Revelations that
Allah Almighty Decided to Preserve and Confirm in the Holy Quran.
Indeed, all Praise and Glory are due to Allah Almighty
alone for making the Noble Quran be the Perfect and Everlasting Miracle,
for us humans, out of all of His Divine Miracles! And may Allah
Almighty send His Peace, Mercy and Blessings upon our Beloved and
Blessed Prophet, Teacher and Role Model, Muhammad. Ameen.
