1- Allah Almighty's Divine Claims:

Important Note: Quite honestly, I knew about Noble Verse 24:43 a long time ago, but was hesitant to write an article about it, because I wasn't sure if the Noble Verse was speaking only about the hail that pours down from the sky during rain, or if it were indeed speaking about the ice that comes down from space (Heaven (السماء)). If the latter is the case, which my unbiased and honest analysis below demonstrate it is, then we indeed have another Stunning Divine Miracle from the Glorious Quran, because this information was not known to man, 1,500 years ago, and only astronomers today, who had recently discovered it and proven it, were able to confirm it.

Below, we will see how Allah Almighty clearly referred to the ice that comes down from outer space and not just to the hail that pours with the rain, which by the way, the Arabian desert rarely rains any hail, especially 1,500 years ago, where the Prophet lived. See Point #1 below about the droughts for more details. Also, Allah Almighty's Choice of the Words "mountains containing ice in them (جبال فيها من برد)" and "the flashing of the luminosity (brilliance) well-nigh goes off with their sight (يكاد سنا برقه يذهب بالابصار)" further prove and demonstrates the Divine Miracle of the Glorious Quran. With this said, let us now proceed with the article....

The Noble Quran is filled with scientific statements and notions. These are statements of Allah Almighty describing how He created things on earth and in the Universe. What's most amazing is that all of these scientific statements and notions had been proven to be in perfect agreement with science and our modern-day scientific discoveries. Allah Almighty made the Noble Quran be Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) Everlasting Divine Miracle and proof for Prophethood. The Holy Book certainly stood the test of time 1,500 years ago with Its Claims, Prophecies and Miraculous language eloquence, and it does again and again in our day today with Its overwhelming agreement with science and discoveries that were not known to man 1,500 years ago.

Allah Almighty Said: "We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and inside their selves, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a witness over all things? (The Noble Quran, 41:53)"

With this said, let us now look at what Allah Almighty Said in the Noble Quran:

Noble Verse(s) 24:43

Palmer:

[024:043] Hast thou not seen that God drives the clouds, and then re-unites them, and then accumulates them, and thou mayest see the rain coming forth from their midst; and He sends down from the ~~sky~~ Heaven mountains with ~~hail~~ ice therein, and He makes it fall on whom He pleases, and He turns it from whom He pleases; the flashing of ~~His~~ the ~~lightning~~ luminosity (brilliance) well-nigh goes off with their sight?

‏24:43 الم تر ان الله يزجي سحابا ثم يؤلف بينه ثم يجعله ركاما فترى الودق يخرج من خلاله وينزل من السماء من جبال فيها من برد فيصيب به من يشاء ويصرفه عن من يشاء يكاد سنا برقه يذهب بالابصار

While to the ordinary person, this Noble Verse seems to be referring to the hail (ice) that rains down from the sky, but in reality, it has a much deeper meaning to It for the following reasons:

1- The desert's rain is, relatively speaking, hardly cold! In fact, there is, relatively, hardly any rain in the desert. Drought and lack of water are quite common in the desert where Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, lived. It is not a norm for hail to rain down with the rain in the Arabian desert throughout the year. While it could come down on, relatively, rare occasions, but it is not common, nor is it a norm. The following narrations and Hadiths (Sayings) of people and of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, further prove this:

Narrated Anas: "Whenever there was drought, 'Umar bin Al-Khattab used to ask Allah for rain through Al'Abbas bin 'Abdul Muttalib, saying, "O Allah! We used to request our Prophet to ask You for rain, and You would give us. Now we request the uncle of our Prophet to ask You for rain, so give us rain." And they would be given rain." (Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 57, Number 59)"

Narrated Anas: "Whenever drought threatened them, 'Umar bin Al-Khattab, used to ask Al-Abbas bin 'Abdul Muttalib to invoke Allah for rain. He used to say, "O Allah! We used to ask our Prophet to invoke You for rain, and You would bless us with rain, and now we ask his uncle to invoke You for rain. O Allah ! Bless us with rain."(1) And so it would rain. (Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 17, Number 123)"

"Anas b. Malik reported that while the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) was delivering the sermon on Friday, people stood up before him and said in a loud voice: Apostle of Allah, there is a drought and the trees have become yellow, the animals have died; and the rest of the hadith is the same, and in the narration transmitted by 'Abd al-A'la the words are:" The clouds cleard from Medina and it began to rain around it and not a single drop of rain fell in Medina. And as I looked towards Medina, I found it hollow like (the hollowness of) a basin. (Translation of Sahih Muslim, Book 004, Number 1957)"

Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin: "The people complained to the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) of the lack of rain, so he gave an order for a pulpit. It was then set up for him in the place of prayer. He fixed a day for the people on which they should come out. Aisha said: The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him), when the rim of the sun appeared, sat down on the pulpit, and having pronounced the greatness of Allah and expressed His praise, he said: You have complained of drought in your homes, and of the delay in receiving rain at the beginning of its season. Allah has ordered you to supplicate Him has and promised that He will answer your prayer. Then he said: Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe, the Compassionate, the Merciful, the Master of the Day of Judgment. There is no god but Allah Who does what He wishes. O Allah, Thou art Allah, there is no deity but Thou, the Rich, while we are the poor. Send down the rain upon us and make what Thou sendest down a strength and satisfaction for a time (see also Luke 2:52: GOD forgave Jesus). He then raised his hands, and kept raising them till the whiteness under his armpits was visible. He then turned his back to the people and inverted or turned round his cloak while keeping his hands aloft. He then faced the people, descended and prayed two rak'ahs. Allah then produced a cloud, and the storm of thunder and lightning came on. Then the rain fell by Allah's permission, and before he reached his mosque streams were flowing. When he saw the speed with which the people were seeking shelter, he (peace_be_upon_him) laughed till his back teeth were visible. Then he said: I testify that Allah is Omnipotent and that I am Allah's servant and apostle. (Translation of Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 3, Number 1169)"

2- Allah Almighty mentioned "mountains with ice therein" being sent down from Heaven (السماء). This Noble Word is a key because It encompasses both the clouds of our atmosphere and the open space of the Universe. Allah Almighty did not just Say "mountains of ice", limiting the "mountains" to just ice. جبال فيها من برد literally means:

جبال = mountains

فيها = contains, has

من = therein

برد = hail, ice

So the mountains are clearly not 100% ice. They are mountains that have ice attached to them or carried by them. So the mountains could have, for instance, rocks and metals in them as asteroids do. However, much of the icy comets are mostly made up of frozen water or ice (see the Scientific Proofs in the main-section below). Also, much of the icy asteroids (icy mountains) break up into smaller pieces while in space before they reach earth. And once they reach earth's atmosphere, much of them further melt and turn into rain and hail. See Dr. Ibrahim B. 3- The hail that is sent down from the rain, which is rare in the Arabian scorching desert, is not a mountain that is containing ice. The hail that comes down from the sky, which is again rare in the scorching Arabian desert, comes down in very tiny pieces.

4- Allah Almighty further Said: "the flashing of the luminosity (brilliance) well-nigh goes off with their sight (يكاد سنا برقه يذهب بالابصار)". As the pictures below reveal, it is not just the thunders' lightnings that generate the very brilliant light that is almost eye-blinding, but so do also the comets upon impact as well.

It is also worth mentioning that lightnings in the Arabian desert, in most of the times, are much smaller than the ones below. This is because in order for thunder lightnings in this brightness and size to be generated, huge, thick and vast clouds must be pressed together in order to generate such electrical reaction. The Arabian desert today and 1,500 years ago simply does not have such amount of clouds. This is one of the reasons why much drought exists there, because it hardly rains.

Allah Almighty Said in the Glorious Quran:

‏78:14 وانزلنا من المعصرات ماء ثجاجا

"And do We not send down from the clouds pressing forth rain, water pouring down in abundance, (The Noble Quran, 78:14)"

The Arabic word "معصرات" is a plural of "معصرة" and they are both derived from the root word "عصر", which means to sequeeze, press.

According to Google's Online Arabic-English Dictionary, عصر means:

But whether such lightnings were seen in the desert or not, it really doesn't disprove anything, because asteroids and comets too give off such light if their impact with earth was seen in a close enough distance. They were also very likely and also common to be seen. In fact, the black stone that is now placed near the Kaaba (the black cube building in Mecca) was proven to be a Heavenly asteroid that was sent down by Allah Almighty to pin point the location of where the Kaaba was to be built by Prophets Abraham and his son Ishmael, peace be upon them. And their explosions upon impact with earth are too bright and almost eye-blinding. Also, comets that are mostly made up of ice would not bring catastrophe to earth when they strike it. So a comet does not have to be a dangerous one to life on earth in order for it to light a very brilliant light. Again, read Dr. Ibrahim B. 5- Allah Almighty started the Noble Verse by speaking about clouds (سحاب) and how the rain forms in it and then pours down. Then Allah Almighty talked about the mountains in the Heaven (السماء) carrying and delivering much ice. This encompasses both the ice (hail) in the clouds and the ice in Heaven (space). Also, Allah Almighty never Said in the Noble Verse that the clouds are the mountains. Not only that, but again, Allah Almighty used السماء to talk about the ice being carried by the mountains (جبال) from Heaven (space). Please visit:

(a)- The Divine Miracle for man 1,500 years ago and today.

The way I see Noble Verse 24:43 is that it contained a hidden Miracle and Message in It for man today, 1,500 years later. On the surface, the Noble Verse seems to be talking about Allah Almighty's Favours upon mankind by creating rain and hail for us. But when we look closer into the Noble Words of the Noble Verse in light of our Scientific discoveries today, we find that Allah Almighty's Choice of Words in the Noble Verse is indeed Miraculous, and was put there for a Divine Wisdom and Purpose. Indeed, the asteroids that are made up mostly of ice not only pose no threat to humanity and to earth, but they do melt and turn into hail and rain as further proven in the main-section below in Dr. Ibrahim B. Syed's article.

Whether you agree with the analysis above or not, Noble Verse 24:43 still remains a Noble Verse that contains several accurate Scientific Statements in It. To me, It also clearly contains a Hidden Message and Scientific Miracle for us humans to discover and confirm today. Allah Almighty's Choice of Words in the Noble Verse are indeed Miraculous and obvious. The ice that comes from the mountains (جبال) in Heaven (السماء) and not just in the clouds (سحاب) is indeed a Scientific Miracle and a Miraculous Choice of Words, because yes indeed, ice not only comes down from the clouds as hail, but it also comes down from outer space as well from ice-mountains of asteroids that are harmless to earth. Heaven (السماء) is a Word that encompasses both the clouds and the open space of the Universe.

Comets orbiting a distant star have been discovered to contain water. In the Journal Nature dated July 12, 2001 scientists claimed that it is the first time the ingredient considered key to life has been discovered in objects circling a star other than our sun which is also a star. This discovery supports the theory that other planetary systems may be similar to our own solar system and may contain chemicals that are essential to the formation of life, as we know it. This particular star is identified as CW Leonis and is located some 3,000 trillion miles from Earth in the constellation Leo. Scientists have no way of knowing whether life ever existed on any comets or planets orbiting this particular star. One conclusion is that no life could exist there now. The reason for this conclusion is that this star has burned out the last of its nuclear fuel and the star has swelled and increased in luminosity, engulfing nearby objects and melting comets in orbits as distant as Neptune is from our own sun -- releasing the water that astronomers spotted using a radio-telescope in outer space.

Gary Melnic, chief scientist on the project and an astronomer at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, Massachusetts, regrets that the existence of these bodies is measured through their destruction. He says that there could have been water closer to the star, bolstering the idea that life may have existed outside our solar system. Scientists have believed that the comets helped build life on earth. The comets along with important chemicals bring the water in our oceans as they hurtled through earth's atmosphere.

The amount of water estimated from the distant comets is about 10 times the mass of earth. By peeking at the dying star far in the distance and therefore long in the past, scientists said they had also glimpsed for the first time a vision of the fiery future of our won world. As our sun begins to die in about 6 billion years, it will also first grow larger and hotter, vaporizing earth's oceans, reducing planets and comets to cinders. Scientists have never before seen the effects of a dying star on its surroundings, although the process is not thought to be uncommon. Every star in the galaxies comprising of billion stars in the universe will go though similar cycles of destruction.

QUR'ANIC REVELATIONS

It has been shown that Islam is not in conflict with science and that Al Qur'an does not contradict or negate modem scientific findings or discoveries. On the other hand, Western scholars have praised and credited Islam for the preservation and advancement of scientific knowledge by Muslim scientists, physicians and technologists. 1,400 years later, modem science is bringing to light the truths or confirming what has been revealed in Al Qur'an. A learned Muslim will find in the Quran scientific truths and realities.

Consider the following Qur'anic Verse:

Have you not seen how Allah wafteth the clouds, then gathers them, then makes them layers, and you see the rain come forth from between them,………… Surah An-Nur 24: 43 (first half)

Here Allah Ta'ala is describing the formation of rain clouds and the rainfall from the clouds. This phenomenon is very common and known to every human being. But what is not known to the human beings are the truths that are found in the following ayah from the Noble Qur'an.

'Wa anz'ala min'assa maai' Ma'an….'

'And causeth water to descend from the heavens. '

…. 'Surah Baqara 2: 22, Surah Ibrahim 14: 22 and Surah An-Nahl, 16: 10, & 65.

Now the question is why does Allah Ta'ala says that He causes the water to descend from the heavens, in apparent contradiction to the An-Nur, 24: 43 first half of the verse cited above. If carefully studied, the following verse makes no sense and the disbelievers would belittle the Noble Qur'an :

'...He sendeth down from the heaven mountains wherein is hail…"

……………Surah An-Nur, 24: 43 (Second Half)

All the Mufassareen (interpreters of the Qur'an) did not give the right Tafsir (interpretation) of this verse. Hail is frozen rain or stones of frozen water. This ayah very clearly states that Allah sends down from the Heavens Mountains containing ice or comets of ice. According to this ayah, mountains of ice or comets of ice are sent down from the heavens (space) towards the earth. Until 1986 mankind did not know this phenomenon. In 1988 this phenomenon has been confirmed scientifically.

Scientific Discovery

The story of this startling scientific discovery and its confirmation by experimentation is worth mentioning here. Dr. Louis Frank a Physicist at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, studied the data gathered from 1981-1986 by Dynamic Explorer I satellite. The satellite took ultraviolet Images of the earth, particularly to study the air glow around the earth. In these images Dr.Louis Frank found holes punched through the atmosphere. These holes could not be explained. He discarded dozens of explanations after analyzing them. He finally concluded that snowballs or comets of Ice coming from space could only make the holes. He estimated the weight of each comet to be 100 tons and they are coated with black hydrocarbons. They are falling on the earth at the rate of 10 million a year (27,397 per day or 19 every minute.)

The snowball or comet of ice measures about 30 feet across. Dr.Clayne Yeates, a Physicist at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California told this writer that the comets of ice or snowballs are moving at 10 kilometers per second (21,600 MPH) relative to the earth and at about 1000 km (600 miles) above the earth. They break up (into hail) due to tidal waves and would then flash to vapor in the atmosphere. Finally the vapor would fall as rain and joins the earth's water cycle. Dr. Louis Frank's calculations show this would contribute the equivalent of one Inch of water all over the earth's surface every 10,000 years. The earth was formed 4.9 billion years ago and if this has been happening since formation of the earth, the process would provide enough water for the oceans and the polar Ice packs.

From me, Osama Abdallah:

In regards to the water of the vast oceans, lakes and rivers all coming from outside asteroids is not possible, even if millions of icy asteroids did strike earth in the past.

Water on earth, while little of it might've come from outer space, but in general is generated and maintained and sustained from the earth and the temperature cycles of the atmosphere. Allah Almighty Said that He made the earth spherical, balanced, and He expanded it and brought its water from it.

Experimental Proof

Dr.Yeates used a powerful space search telescope at the Kitt Peak Observatory in Arizona. Using this telescope he scanned the heavens for the snowballs or icy comets. By swinging the telescope, similar to a shotgun at a skeet shoot, he photographed the descending icy comets approaching each. He told this writer that viewing through this telescope he was able to see the icy comets 150,000-km (kilometers) or 90,000 miles above the earth (or the heavens). Dr.Yeates said. It was remarkable. The results agreed exactly with the predictions.

Comets

Appearance:

Seeing a comet with the naked eye is a somewhat rare occurrence. On the average we get a naked-eye comet once every five or six years and this includes comets that become barely visible to the naked eye. Classic comets with long tails only appear about once every 10-12 years. The motion is very difficult to detect and comparing its place with naked-eye stars over several days is the only way to see it move. In general, comets are best observed with telescopes or binoculars.

What are They?

Comets are primarily composed of ice and dust, causing some astronomers to refer to them as "dirty snowballs." They typically move through the solar system in orbits ranging from a few years to several hundred thousand years. Comets are not on fire. As they approach the sun, the sun's heat melts the comet's ices and releases dust particles, which are most evident as the comet's tail. Comets rarely come within a few million miles of Earth and, thus, have a slow apparent motion across our sky. Typical comets remain visible for periods of several weeks up to several months.

Meteors

Appearance:

Meteors appear as fast-moving streaks of light in the night sky. They are frequently referred to as "falling stars" or "shooting stars." Most are white or blue-white in appearance, although other frequent colors are yellow, orange. The colors seem more related to the speed of the meteor rather than composition. Red meteors occasionally appear as very long streaks and are usually indicative of a meteor that is skimming the atmosphere. Green meteors are also occasionally seen and are usually very bright. The green color may be a result of ionized oxygen.

What are They?

Meteoroids are the smallest particles orbiting the sun, and most are no larger than grains of sand. From years of studying the evolution of meteor streams, astronomers have concluded that comets produced clouds of meteoroids orbiting the sun. Meteoroids can not be observed moving through space because of their small size. Over the years numerous man-made satellites recovered by manned spacecraft have shown pits in their metal skins, which were caused by the impact of meteoroids.

Meteoroids become visible to observers on Earth when they enter Earth's atmosphere. They are then referred to as meteors. They become visible as a result of friction caused by air molecules slamming against the surface of the high-velocity particle. The friction typically causes meteors to glow blue or white, although other colors have been reported. Most meteors completely burn up in the atmosphere at altitudes of between 60 and 80 miles. They are rarely seen for periods of more than a few seconds.

Occasionally, a large meteor will not burn up completely as it moves through Earth's atmosphere. The subsequent pieces that fall to Earth's surface are known as meteorites.

Asteroids

Appearance:

Out of more than 10 thousand numbered asteroids, only Vesta has consistently been a naked-eye object if the observer has extremely dark skies and the asteroid is moving in relatively star-poor regions of the sky. The motion of asteroids is similar to that of comets in that the position must be plotted on a star chart over two or three days for motion to be detected.

What are They?

Asteroids, or minor planets, have been described as "mountains in space." They are large rocks typically ranging from a few feet to several hundred miles across. The vast majority of asteroids move between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter in what is commonly called the "asteroid belt." They always appear starlike and their motion with respect to the stars is usually so slow that several hours may pass before any movement is noticed. Most asteroids within the asteroid belt never come closer than 100 million miles from Earth, but there are some asteroids which come close to and even cross Earth's orbit. These objects can occasionally pass within a few million miles of Earth, and even within the orbit of the moon, and then exhibit a rapid motion that is discernible after only a few minutes. Asteroids within the asteroid belt can be observed every year, while the ones passing especially close to Earth may only be visible for a few weeks or months.

I also addressed John 19:36-37 from the Bible and proved that Jesus never got crucified, since GOD Almighty promised that he will protect Jesus' body and not let even a single bone be broken. My question to all Christians is: How in the world is it possible for the feet to get nailed on the cross without any penetration to the bones by the nails, hence breaking part of the feet's bones?! I also added refutations to Exodus 12:46, Numbers 9:12, Zechariah 12:10 and Psalm 34:20, which supposedly prove the Christians' belief about Jesus crucifixion. I proved that this dogma has no truth what so ever and exposed the wrong Trinitarian English translation of Zechariah 12:10.

2- Allah Almighty said that Prophet Noah lived for 950 years. Yet, all Praise and Glory are due to Allah Almighty Alone, the entire Noble Surah (chapter Noah) is exactly written in 950 Letters. You can thoroughly see the accurate count in the scanned images.

3- Allah Almighty in the Glorious Quran said that earth is:

       -  Spherical: "egg-shaped" [1].
       - Is rotating around itself.
       - Is moving in space in curvy orbits [2].
       - Is traveling through the constantly expanding universe [3].

"When the sky disintegrates, and turns rose colored like paint (وردة كالدهان)." (The Noble Quran, 55:37) [2] [3]

As we also see from the picture, Noble Verse 55:37 is a Divine Promise (Allah promised to show mankind) that mankind will actually see this come to pass one day. NASA and other space agencies, by Allah Almighty's Will, have certainly fulfilled this Prophecy, because a natural rose wouldn't form when a "Heaven" or a Solar System or even an entire galaxy and its
trillions of solar systems all blow up (explode). It is rather the look of it, and this is exactly what NASA confirms.

Islam also thoroughly rejects as man-made lies the Trinity and Crucifixion [2]. Jesus was also thoroughly called slave of GOD [1] in both the OT and NT.

GOD didn't talk this way when He spoke to Moses. GOD's testimony alone is always sufficient! Jesus also bowed his face down to the ground, like we Muslims (Isaiah 56:5: Muslim is the future believers' name, and sons and daughters of GOD titles will be "no more"; ; Jesus called every believer a Muslim in Luke 6:40) Muslims do everyday, and prayed to GOD Almighty.
