1- Careless divorce will bring sin upon you:

Marriage with the intention of divorce (just for only sexual enjoyment) is forbidden in the Glorious Quran. Allah Almighty said that careless and irresponsible divorce will bring sin upon you:

"You bear no sin if you divorce your wives AS LONG AS YOU HAVE NOT (ma-lam مالم) had a sexual contact with them, .... (The Noble Quran, 2:236)"

If the marriage has not been consummated yet (no sexual intercourse yet; still in a fiancée-like relationship but through a legal and legit marriage), then the couple can break up; divorce. But after sexual intercourse is done between the bride and groom, they are now a husband and wife. So while they are still a bride and groom, they can divorce without issue.

Muta marriage was a temporary marriage that destined for divorce, which Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, is said to have allowed for Muslim men who fought in battles in distant lands. They were allowed to marry women there temporarily. Allah Almighty has thoroughly prohibited all forms of temporary marriages, and has stressed the holiness of permanent marriage in the Glorious Quran.

Was it legalized prostitution? Was it a form of pimping women and men for just sex? Absolutely not, because even with the Muta marriage, there was still the requirement of at least two witnesses testifying that the couple have married (announcing the marriage publiclyprotects everyone. Ex: Married women are not approached by other men as single women, and pregnant women are known to be pregnant wives, not pregnant harlots), the dowry payment upon the husband, and Muslim women still had to go through the Idda period after the divorce. So it was a legitimate full marriage but with the exception that it was destined for planned divorce (i.e., termination). Allah Almighty ultimately forbade intentional non-permanent marriages.

Again, here is what Allah Almighty Said regarding divorce in the Noble Quran. It almost always brings sin upon the regular married folks. However, if a man is engaged with a woman, and they had a marriage contract already done, with dowry payment, witnesses and announcing to all people in their community that they got married, but they have not yet consummated the marriage through sexual intercourse, then there is no sin upon them if they divorce, as long as they have not consummated the marriage:

‏2:236 لاجناح عليكم ان طلقتم النساء مالم تمسوهن او تفرضوا لهن فريضة ومتعوهن على الموسع قدره وعلى المقتر قدره متاعا بالمعروف حقا على المحسنين

"You bear no sin if you divorce your wives AS LONG AS YOU HAVE NOT (ma-lam مالم) had a sexual contact with them تمسوهن, and before settling (the amount of) the nuptial premium (for them). Yet, you should make provisions for them (even then); the affluent in keeping with his means, and the poor according to what he can afford. A fair provision is an obligation upon the pious. (The Noble Quran, 2:236)"

Ma-lam مالم in Arabic means "as long as you have not," which makes it a condition and a Law. The meaning of the word مالم as "as long as you have not" is very well-known in Arabic and the translation is also proven by ample English translations of this Noble Verse. So irresponsible divorce after the consummation of marriage (after sex) will bring sin upon the irresponsible and guilty one(s). The Noble Verse is crystal-clear about this.

2- The solemn holiness of marriage (ميثاقا غليظا):

Also, the covenant of marriage in the Glorious Quran Is a Mighty and Solemn Covenant ميثاقا غليظا (mee-thaa-qan gha-leetha). This exact phrase is mentioned three times (4:21, 4:154, 33:7) in the Glorious Quran for the following Covenants:

1- For the solemn covenant ميثاقا غليظا of marriage between the husband and wife.

2- For the solemn covenant ميثاقا غليظا between GOD Almighty and the Prophets.

3- For the solemn covenant ميثاقا غليظا between GOD Almighty and the Jews on the holiness of the Sabbath.

Again, please see Noble Verses 4:21, 4:154, 33:7. Divorce is allowed, but it is a detested lawful thing to Allah Almighty. Abusing it or misusing it will bring sin upon you.

Furthermore, Allah Almighty made it crystal clear that He best prefers for Muslim men to only marry one wife, each. Messing around with marrying multiple women is a slippery slope that could bring sin upon you:

Noble Verse 4:3 "If ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, marry women of your choice, Two or three or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or (a captive) that your right hands possess, that will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice."

Marry one woman to prevent you from doing injustice. This is further supported also in the following Noble Verse:

Noble Verse 4:129 "Ye are never able to be fair and just as between women, even if it is your ardent desire: But turn not away (from a woman) altogether, so as to leave her (as it were) hanging (in the air). If ye come to a friendly understanding, and practise self-restraint, God is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful."

Polygamy is allowed by Allah Almighty, but like divorce, it too is a detested lawful thing to Allah Almighty. And most certainly, abusing it or misusing it will bring sin upon you.

Sam I am suprised that you are not agreeing to this debate. Usually you would love to bring out all these arguments that you have against Muhammad peace be upon him. I don't understand what you are trying to accomplish with this Mut'a thing? If you want to speak about immorality in Islam, then lets be fair and also give us the right to speak about the immorality in the Bible (Luke 2:52: GOD forgave Jesus' sins and was "charitable" with him). At the end of the day, the topic will be useless. Because its only subjective arguments and emotions being thrown in. Muslims believe that Mut'a was a practice allowed and THEN PROHIBITED. Muslims used to drink and get drunk and the Prophet didn't condemn them. Why? Becuz it was NOT PROHIBITED YET. Same thing with all the laws. So I mean you can even come up and argue if you want to, that the Prophet allowed alcohol,
fornication etc. and not only Mut'a. However, you won't convince any Muslim of what you are saying because we all know that the laws came gradually and that
certain things ended over time (see also Luke 2:52: GOD forgave Jesus). So go debate your topic with a Shia. is not a Shia, so obviously he sees this as a waste of time (see also Luke 2:52: GOD forgave Jesus). Its like me trying to

It is quite obvious that Sam Shamoun's - or I should say the entire Answering Islam team's - stronghold is getting smaller and smaller. You see, during my debate with him on Whether Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, is a true Prophet or not, all of Shamoun's points were basically nothing but nonsense except for three (I meant four):

1- What does the Noble Quran say about the Bible's authenticity and credibility?

2- The topic and issue of Muta in Islam.

3- The defeat of the Romans and their coming victory Prophecy.

4- Abrogation.

The rest such as Prophet Muhammad thighing Aisha, and feeling desires to marry Zaynab were nothing but weak and desperate points that make good points on childish bashings, but not on disproving the Prophethood of Muhammad, peace be upon him, especially when his bible is notorious in pedophelia, raping, terrorism and so much more!

Since by the Grace and Mercy of Allah Almighty I have smashed his #1, #3 and #4 points thoroughly on the site where I demonstrated for point #1 that Allah Almighty called the Jews and Christians People of Book and People of Moses' Thikr, hence this means that the "Book" is none other than Moses' (peace be upon him) Thikr, since even the Bible supports this thoroughly because all of its Laws revolve around the Mosaic Laws, which means that the Noble Quran never said that constantine's bible is the Book and that it is not a corrupt book. What this means brothers is that Islam's charges on the bible being a man-made bogus book are sound and irrefutable!

And as to point #3, not only did I destroy his point on the Prophecy where I demonstrated not only the estimated dates in Encyclopedia Britanaca and others could be inaccurate, and not only did I demonstrate that the Noble Quran never said that "few years" is a number less than 10 years, and not only did I show from his own bible "few years" and "many years" prophecies which silenced him, but I also showed a Scientific Miracle in geology in this NOble Verse where the place which the Romans lost in is indeed the lowest spot on earth. Shamoun and Katz tried to give a desperate shot to this point using wrong English translations, but by Allah Almighty's Grace and Will, they got smoked bad on it.

Brothers, we need to smoke him on Jesus being the heir point, since this was left unanswered. The simple answer is this:

1- It was the Jews who said he is the heir. The NT simply recited what some of the Jews said, which means that this was either a false lie invented by men, or a quote about the Messiah inheriting the Earth, since he will be the King and Ruler of Earth as the OT predicts. Not only that, but the Bible makes ample references and sings ample praises about women's breasts and vaginas being sexual objects, and it even says that the vaginas and breasts of women literally taste like wine!

And your OT made ample references about men and women separately such as in the issue of bestiality where if a man is caught having sex with an animals then he must be put to death, while if a woman only approaches the animal with the desire or look to have sex with it, then she must be also put to death.

Let us look at Leviticus 20:15 "If a man has sexual relations with an animal, he must be put to death, and you must kill the animal."

Let us look at Leviticus 20:16 "If a woman approaches an animal to have sexual relations with it, kill both the woman and the animal. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

Notice that in Leviticus 20:15 the man has to be caught having sex with an animal in order for him to be put to death. We have to be sure 100% beyond the shadow of the doubt to kill him.

Notice however in Leviticus 20:16 that if a woman only looks SUSPICIOUS and not necessarily get caught having sex with an animal, she would still be put to death. We do not have to be sure 100% beyond the shadow of the doubt with her in order for us to kill her.

However, your OT is virtually silence about two women getting graphic with each others!

(Also, the bible says that women's vaginas and breasts taste like "WINE")

So if you want to attack Islam on a temporary and now-abrogated marriage that Allah Almighty clearly allowed temporarily to solve a certain social issue and then denounced later in the Noble Quran through Noble Verse 4:3 where He Said ".....THEN ONLY ONE....", then you must also denounce your Law for being virtually silence on lesbianism!
